Here is My Movie Review Of The Electrical State

Here is My Movie Review Of The Electrical State

Now when this movie was announced I was super excited for it because it was directed by the Russo Brothers but I was even more excited when I saw the trailer and who was in it because it had a really big cast you could say half of the MCU was in this movie because most of these actors are part of the MCU. So I watched the movie and I was very much happy with what I got. This is easily one of the best films of the entire year so far and one of the most underrated films of the Entire year so far.

So  basically what happens is that you have this girl named Michelle and she lives in this future where robots are fighting back against humanity and she is coping with the loss of her brother because he died. But then she finds out that his Consciousness is transferred into the robot named Cosmo. So she decides to go on an adventure to find her younger brother and on the way she meets this guy named Keats who tells her that she will need some help to find her younger brother so he decides to tag along with his robot helper Herman. So the three of them decide to team up to find  Michelle, the younger brother but then there's this guy named Ethan Skate  Who wants to have all the robots exterminate all the humans so he could be supreme Rule of Earth. So it's up to Michelle to take down Ethan Skate and find her younger brother and save the world and that's basically what the story is for this film. I have to say the storyline in this movie is actually really powerful and very emotional. I mean yes the robots take over humanity and the storyline we heard a lot but I think this movie handled it really well. They put a new spin on it by having it be people who control the robots with virtual reality.

But as terrific as the story is I don't think this movie would be as awesome as it was if it wasn't for the stellar and exquisite cast that is in this movie because they're the one of awesome and tremendous actors who give really powerful and very entertaining performances and you can tell that all of these actors are having a lot of fun and their characters.

However the biggest standout of the entire film is Millie Bobby Brown who plays Michelle in the film. Now it comes to Millie Bobby Brown. I have seen her in the two Enola Holmes films. I have been watching her on stranger things and from what I have seen of her And stranger things And for what I Have seen of that show she does a stealer job as 11. I have to say she gives a really powerful and emotional performance as the character. Now Michelle as a character Is incredible because you really feel bad for because her  foster dad treats her like shit she is grieving over the loss of her younger brother Christopher. She wants to find him so she tags along with this robot and you can just see how determined she has to find him so they could be back together. The scene where Michelle finds the robot Cosmo is not only really funny but it sets up their partnership in the film really well because she has to have the robot help her find her younger brother Christopher. It is probably the most important and beautiful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Chris Pratt, Giancarlo Esposito, Anthony Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Ke Huy Quan, Alan Tudyk, Stanley Tucci, Woody Norman, Brian Cox Is perfect.

Chris Pratt plays Keats In the film and his performance is terrific. He gives a really powerful and entertaining performance because he's not Trading the character like an idiot like he has with Star-Lord in the MCU because in this film he actually takes the role seriously. He does have funny moments in the film. Now the character of Keats It really tremendous because he really cares about Michelle and wants to help her find her younger brother and at first he doesn't want anything to deal with her he just wants to get back to his base to to spend time by himself but he eventually decides to help her anyway and you actually feel bad for him because his life was destroyed during the war and he has to live in a dump which he invented a lot of things To get by. The scene where he and his team of robots flips off Ethan Skate it say suck on this is not only really funny but it makes sense because he wanted to kick his ass and save the world. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is exhilarating.

But the actor I was most looking forward to seeing in this entire film is Ke Huy Quan, because he is a really terrific actor. I like him in the movie Love Hurts as Marvin Gable. I also like him in the Goonies as Data because that is actually my favorite performance In that film. I have to say in this one he was really remarkable as Dr Amherst because even though he doesn't play a big role in the film he still gives a really powerful and entertaining performance. Now The character of  Dr Amherst Is interesting because he's not really evil but he is misunderstood because he mentioned that they had to transfer Christopher's consciousness in the robot so he can live longer and well that's kind of a horrible thing to do he had to do it in order to survive though  later on he does redeem himself and decides to help Michelle find her a younger brother. The scene where Dr. Amherst sacrifices himself to save Michelle and her friends is not only a really sad and heartbreaking moment but it makes sense because he is trying to fight off Colonel Marshall Bradbury. It is probably one of the saddest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is excellent.

Anthony Mackey voices Heman In the film and out of all of the  Performances he was probably the funniest performance of the entire film because all of his jokes were really funny. Now the character of Herman is remarkable because she really cares about Michelle and wants Help her find her younger brother and be reunited with him. The scene where he tells Keats That he was just taking a nap to recharge and not only was it really funny but it makes a lot of sense because Keats thought he was dead. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is terrific.

Woody Harrelson voices Mr Peanut in the film. I have to say he does a spectacular job as the character and you can tell that he was having a lot of fun voicing this character. Now Mr Peanut as a character is really interesting because he is  the mayor of this town set in the dystopian future and wants to help Michelle find her younger brother because he is also like the voice of reason in the film. The scene where Mr Peanut tells Ethan Skate that They can resolve their problems by restoring peace to the future is not only a really dark and Powerful moment but it makes sense because Mr Peanut believed that the problem could be solved with peace. It is probably the most powerful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is magnificent.

Now Giancarlo Esposito Is really interesting because he is a tremendous actor and I thought his performance in Captain America brand new world was okay. He did a decent job as Sidewinder but I feel like he is the weakest part of that film. But I have to say in this film he does a glorious job of playing  Colonel Marshall Bradbury and he gives one of the most intense and nail biting performances of the entire film. Now the character of Colonel Marshall Bradbury is really incredible and really threatening because he'll stop at nothing to try to kill Michelle and her friends because he has to obey Ethan Skate’s orders. The scene where Colonel Marshall Bradbury learned that Eihan Skate was just using him to try to kill all of humanity so he start to have a change of heart and turns against him and not only is it a really powerful scene but it makes sense because Colonel Marshall Bradbury had a change of heart and turned against his former master. It is probably one of the most powerful and beautiful scenes of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is excellent.

Alan Tudyk Voices Cosmo in the film and his performance is brilliant because he gives one of the most beautiful performances of the entire film. You can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Cosmo is really incredible because he is one of the sweetest and one of the nicest characters in the film because you can tell that he really cares for Michelle and he wants to help her find her younger brother and be reunited with him. The scene where he and michelle are in the car having fun together it's probably one of the most sweetest moments of the entire film because you could tell that they really care about each other because she grew up watching his show with her younger brother Christopher and that's why they have such a strong bond throughout the film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is excellent.

Brian Cox voices Pop Fly in the film and his performance is really incredible because you get to tell that he is having tons of fun voice in this character throughout the film. Now the character of pop fly is really interesting because you want to help Michelle and Cosmo find her younger brother Christopher so they could be back together again. The same way he's fighting all the robots and hitting them with a baseball bat and saying you are out it's not only really funny but it makes sense because he is a baseball robot. It is probably one of the funniest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is Exquisite.

Stanley Tucci plays Ethan Skate in the film and his performance  is excellent because he does such a glorious job appointing this vile and greedy asshole who just wants everything to go with where you can tell that he is having a ton of fun playing this very selfish and narcissistic tech obsessed guy who wants to make the world the way he wants it to be. Now the character of Ethan Skate is really interesting because he is very reminiscent of Nolan Sorrento from Ready Player One because both characters are very greedy. They want to make a ton of money so they can have everything go their way so they  kill as many people as possible. The scene where Ethan Skate goes inside his own mechanical robot is very similar to the scene in Ready Player One where Nolan Sorrento Becomes Mecca Godzilla to try to kill Wade and his friends and it is probably one of the darkest moments of the entire film because he doesn't give a shit about anybody accept himself. I think he is up there with Alvin Knuckles from Love Hurts as one of the most cruel and disgusting villains of this year so far because this is a villain that you just love to hate you just want something horrible to have ro happen this asshole and luckily something does happen to him he gets arrested at the end of the film  and he kind of deserve the four trying to Kill. The Rivalry between him and Michelle is remarkable because he wants to kill her younger brother by transferring his Consciousness back into Cosmo so his original body will die. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is spectacular.

Woody Newport plays Michelle's younger brother Christopher in the film and even though he doesn't play a big role in the film he's still giving a really powerful and heartwarming performance as the character. Now the character of Christopher is really interesting because he really cared about his older sister and one too spent more time with her But unfortunately he passed away before they could even spend more time together. The scene where he tells Michelle to pull the plug it not only a really sad moment but it makes sense because she doesn't want to pull the plug on her Younger brother because she really wants to spend more time with him but he tells her that this is the only way to save the world and it is probably the saddest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Millie Bobby Brown is magnificent and really sweet. You can actually buy them as  brother and sister Because both of them give really powerful and emotional performances as these characters.

However, as fantastic as the performances are, the best thing about this film is the directing by the Russo Brothers now these guys have directed so many awesome films like the two Avengers films Cherry, The Gray Man, and the Captain America films. But I have to say this is probably their best directed film  because they pour so much heart and emotion into the film And they did such a glorious job of developing all the characters especially Michelle who hadn't had a good life you know her brother family passed away her foster dad really hates her she's been to 10 foster homes. She can't seem to be happy because her brother is no longer there with her If she misses spending so much time with him. I also like how they focus more on the emotion rather than the comedy because there are jokes in the film but I like how it takes itself mostly seriously because they didn't this movie would have been just like Justice League 2017 and turned up being a mess but luckily they directed one of the best films of the entire year.

So in Conclusion I really enjoyed this film because the storyline is one of the most powerful and emotional storylines of the entire year and also was a saddest because again we're focusing on this character Michelle who really misses her younger brother because he passed away and he misses all those times that they used to Have a lot of fun together. I also liked all of the performances. The two performances I like were Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown. I think those two give the best performances of the entire year so far. I think Ethan skate is up there with The High Evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 as one of the best and one of the despicable villains of the 2020s. I also like Ke Huy Quan in the film even though he wasn't in it a whole lot. I do think his performance as Dr Amharst was really fun and entertaining. I think this is up there with Love Hurts as one of the most underrated films of the entire year so far. I think this is one of the most underrated Netflix original films. I think if you enjoy Ready Play One with Tye Sheridan then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well.I give this movie a 10/10.
