Here is My Movie Review of EO

Here is My Movie Review of EO

So basically what happens is  that you have this donkey named EO and he is part of the circus and you have this girl named Kasandra that really cares for him but unfortunately he'll get taken away  from Kasandra and The Circus. So EO has to interact with different people and EO has to find a new home for himself and that is basically what the story is for the film now the storyline on paper might seem  really boring but somehow The film does a fantastic job of making feeling sympathetic towards a donkey.

Now usually I'll be talking about the acting but to be honest this movie really just focuses on EO the donkey and he is essentially the main character even though he does interact with the humans in this film and it takes place in his perspective.

What I love about the film is that it tells this beautiful story about a donkey  named EO. Who just wants to be loved by the humans and the stuff they go through is actually very emotional. Probably my favorite scene is where Kasandra breaks down telling the carriage driver not to take EO away from her and all thanks to Sandra Drzymalska´s Beautiful and emotional performance. But the thing I enjoy about this movie is the character EO  because EO as a character that has suffered a lot, he's been mistreated by the humans, he just wants to find someone to love him. He was born in a circus and the audience loved him but people wanted to kill him for money and the stuff El has to go through is some of the most powerful and tragic things in the entire film. Probably the best moment with EO is where he is interacting with other donkeys and not only is it very powerful and beautiful but it makes sense because the other donkeys really liked EO and liked spending time with him so the film does a great job of showing that he didn't really need more humans to interact with he needed to be with his kind that being donkeys to interact with. I also like how the filmmakers used 6 real donkeys to play EO in the film because as the film goes on EO does start to grow up into a much older donkey his fur starts to change colors and I think it was very incredible of how the film did that, Also the film is some way Is really similar to Oakdale from 2017 because both of them have animals who really care about their owners but they get separated and take away by people who want to kill it for money. but I like how the film does it directly copy it at all except for the social commentary.

But the best thing about the entire movie is the directing by Jerzy Skolimowski Because what I love about his direct day and that he somehow takes a concept of a donkey finding a new home really interesting because again like I said before you think a story revolving around a donkey traveling from place to place will be very boring and uninteresting but somehow Jerzy Skolimowski makes it really emotional and beautiful and entertaining at the same time. I think it was tremendous how he did that. I also like how he also tackled the subject of animal cruelty and it was really well handled because it was really sad there are people in real life who just want to kill or endanger the animal for money and it's really disgusting of what humans do to these poor animals. I like how he took the subject really seriously because  animal cruelty no laughing matter because Is a very touchy subject. I think it is spectacular how he did that.

So in conclusion this is probably one of the most underrated and one of the most beautiful films of 2022. The storyline is really interesting about EO trying to find a new home to live in. The journey has to go on. It's probably the strongest aspect of the entire film. Also  EO as a character in the character you really feel bad for because he's been mistreated by humans and the person that really cared for him he can't see anymore because he was separating from her is really sad the bonding between him and Kasandra is the strongest aspect of the entire film. I have to say this movie is up there with Everything Everywhere All At Once as one of the most beautiful films of 2022. I also think this movie is up there with Spaceman with Adam Sandler as one of the most beautiful films of the 2020s. I have to say this is either way in my top 20 favorite films of 2022. This movie is definitely in my top 30 favorite movies of the 2020s. I have to say if you enjoy the movie Okja with Jake Gyllenhaal, then you'll definitely enjoy this one. I give this movie a 8/10.
