Here is My Movie Review of Pokémon Detective Pikachu

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Tim Goodman and he lives in Ryme and his father Harry Goodman has gone missing so He finds his dad's old Pokémon detective Pikachu and they team up to try solved the mystery of what happened to his father Meanwhile you have this guy named Howard Clifford who is in a wheelchair and he is unable to walk so he decided to capture a Mewtwo so he can transfer his consciousness into its mind so he can evolve and it's up to Tim Goodman and Detective Pikachu to take down Howard Crawford and solve the mystery of what happened to Tim's dad. That is basically what the story is for the film. 

The acting in this movie is terrific. I still think everyone gives very entertaining performances. 

Justice Smith plays Tim Goodman in the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as the character. What makes Goodman such an incredible character is that he wants to solve the mystery of what happened to his father Harry Goodman and he Wants  to do everything in his power to find out the mystery of what happened to him. Probably the best moment with Tim Goodman is when he and Detective Pikachu are at his dad's house and he mentions to detective Pikachu that his grandmother died when he was 11 years old and Not only was it really sad but it made sense because he lost his grandmother at a young age . It is probably the most powerful and emotional moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ryan Reynolds,  Kathryn Newton, Bill Nighy, Chris Geere, Rina Hoshino is still remarkable. 

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Ryan Reynolds as Detective Pikachu.  Now out of all the characters, Detective Pikachu is probably my favorite character in this entire film because he wants to  help Tim Goodman solve the mystery of what happened to his father Harry Goodman. Probably the best moment with detective Pikachu is where He is about to battle Charizard. He says get me the hell out of here and not only was it really funny but it made sense because he didn't want to battle Charizard at all. It is probably the funniest moment In the entire film. Also I think Ryan Reynolds was the perfect choice to voice Detective Pikachu because this actor is very funny and there are moments where he can have a lot of powerful and emotional moments. Fun fact actors like DeVito, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, and Hugh Jackman were all considered to voice Detective Pikachu. The chemistry between him and Justice Smith is excellent. 

Kathryn Newton Plays Lucy Stevens in the film. I have to say she still does a marvelous job as the character. What makes Lucy Stevens such a terrific character is that she wants to help Tim Goodman and Detective Pikachu solve the mystery of What happened to Tim´s dad Harry Goodman. Probably the best moment with Lucy Stevens Warren's the citizens of Ryme City to not have their Pokémon breathe the purple gas known as project R  and not only was it really suspenseful but it made sense because if the Pokémon breathes that stuff they go crazy. It is probably the most intense moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Justin Smith is perfect. 

Chris Geere Plays Howard Clifford's son Roger Clifford In the film. I have to say he still does a brilliant job as the character. Now Roger Clifford wasn't bad. He was just grumpy because his father Howard Clifford was just manipulating him into following his orders but that wasn't the real Roger Clifford it was actually Howard Clifford's Pokemon Ditto in personing him. He'll actually be good the entire time. He didn't like what his father was doing. Probably the best moment with Roger Clifford is where he tell his dad that he didn't want to do the commercial and not only was it really dark but it made sense because his father forced him to do the commercial with him rather he liked it or not It is probably the The chemistry between him and Justice Smith is exquisite. 

 Rina Hoshino voices Mewtwo in the film. I have to say he still does a glorious job as the character. Now Mewtwo was good the entire time because he was there to help Tim Goodman and Detect a Pikachu figure out the mystery of what happened to Tim Goodman´s Harry Goodman. Probably the best scene with Mewtwo is where he explains what happened to Harry gunman because when the car was destroyed by the Greninjas Tim´s father was okay so Mewtwo decide to transfer all of his memories into Pikachu so he can still have his memories in the Pokémon and not only was it a very powerful twist but it made sense because it turns out Harry Goodman was never dead and it is probably the most powerful and the most emotional moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Justice Smith is perfect. 

Bill Nighy plays Howard Clifford in the film. I have to say he still does a Wonderful job as the character. Now when I first watched the film I thought  he was a wake villain. I didn't really get his motivation. But upon re-watching the film. I actually like him even more than I did before because his motivation is that he wants to evolve himself and become better, so in order to do that he decided to transfer his consciousness into Mewtwo. Probably the best moment with Howard Clifford is where he Well he transferred his mind into Mewtwo and not only was it really suspenseful but it made sense because he wanted to evolve and become even better than he was and he also wanted to get his ability to walk again because he had this illness that put him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life and it is probably the most shocking and Intense moment of the entire film. The rivalry between him and Tim Goodman and detective Pikachu was still incredible. The chemistry between him and Justice Smith was brilliant. 

The directing by Rob Letterman Is wonderful because what I like about his directing is that he did a fantastic job of adapting the Pokémon in live action and they look exactly how they are in the game. I like how he gave Tim Goodman a very emotional and powerful character because at first he doesn't want a Pokémon after companion but eventually starts to like Detective Pikachu and wants him to be his loyal Partner and I think it is astonishing how he did that. 

So in conclusion I still really think this is one of the best video adaptations for a movie it captured the spirit of Pokemon extreme well the CGI for all the Pokemon to life looks beautiful and very accurate to the games I also like the storyline of Tim Goodman getting help from detective Pikachu to figure out what happened to his father Harry Goodman. I still think this is one of my favorite movies of 2019. I also think this is one of the best movies of 2019. If you are a fan of the Super Mario Brothers movie with Chris Pratt. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
