Here is My Villain Review of Howard Clifford

Here is My Villain Review of Howard Clifford

Now I'm going to discuss the character of Howard Crawford who is the main villain in 2019's Pokémon Detective Pikachu and explain why he is a very interesting villain. Also explain why he's such a underrated villain

Origin- Now Howard Clifford's origins are not really explained much in the film but it's implied that he founded his company Clifford Industries with his son Roger Clifford and his unnamed wife. Unfortunately he got this unknown disease which caused his legs to stop working which made him unable to walk. So he had to be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. So she decided to search for a cure for his disease. Then he had this value of Humans and Pokémon coexisting with each other he decided to make Ryme city. I think the film does a excellent job of showing Howard Clifford's origin of how he lost to the ability to walk and how he made  Ryme Cty.

Character- How are Clifford is shown in the film to be very intelligent and very scientific because he believes that you can evolve himself End of something better and he is also going to be narcissistic and egocentric and playing that he doesn't care anyone else in the city except for himself and he is so cruel that he even treats his own son Roger Clifford like garbage. I think the film does a fantastic job of making you hate film.

Motivation- Now Howard Clifford's motivation is that he wants to find a cure for his disease so he decides to transfer his consciousness into a Mewtwo and he also wants other people to transfer their minds into their Pokémons to be more evolved and better than they were before. I think the film did a really great job of giving him very interesting and smart motivation.

Best Scenes- No how are Clifford had a lot of great scenes but if I had to pick my favorite thing it will be the scene where he transfers Mind into a Mewtwo it gives us really powerful and very interesting monologue and not only that really intense and very dark but it makes sense because he's basically saying if you transfer your mind into a Pokémon he becomes better than the person you were before and that is all thanks to Bill Nighy´s excellent and powerful performance.

Evil Deeds- Now Howard Clifford does a lot of bad things in this movie For example he captures me too and transfers his mind into him so he can evolve into a better then he was before. He's also responsible for drug trafficking with Project R, that drug that makes Pokémon go crazy. He tries to kill Tim Goodman and Detective Pikachu. He also destroys a lot of Ryme City. I think the film does an excellent job of showing how evil and despicable Howard Clifford is.

Conclusion- Howard Clifford is a very interesting villain who has a really great motivation and he is very intelligent because he knows a lot about Pokémon research and how to evolve into something better. The scene where I give that speech when his mind is inside of you too is one of the most powerful villain monologues and it's all thanks to Bill Nighy´s Excellent and powerful performance. I'm going to give Howard Clifford a 8/10.
