Here is My Villain Review of Darren Cross

Now I am going to discuss the character of Darren Cross who was  the main villain from 2015´s Ant-Man and  he was the secondary villain in 2023´s Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Mania

Origin- Now Darren Cross´s origin is kind of tricky to talk about because in Ant-Man they don't explain a lot because all that we do know about his origin is that he and Hank Pam used to be partnered on the Pym particles but hey Pam didn't want to reveal to him the Ant-Man suit and he got better and started to despise Hank Pym for what he has been doing and in the film he has taken over Hank Pymś company formerly known as Pym Technologies but then he rebranded as cross technologies. Now in 2023 Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania it is explained that Darren Cross did not die in the Quantum Realm He actually survived and he was rebuilt by Kang The Conqueror into the mechanized organism designed only for killing aka M.O.D.O.K. I think both films handle his origin really well. In Ant-Man you get his past life with Hank Pym and in Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania you get a recap of what happened to him ever since that first film. 

Motivation- Now Darren crosses motivations in the first Ant-Man film are very interesting Because he blames Hank Pam for not telling him the secrets about the Pym Particles or anything about the Ant-Man suit so he decides to make his own suit dubbed Yellow Jacket and selling it to evil groups such as the Ten Rings and Hydra. Now in Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania Darren Cross wants revenge on Ant-Man from bashing him down into the quantum realm and leaving him to die. I still think both films give Darren Cross a really great motivation because in the first film he He had a hatred towards Hank Pam for not telling him about the Ant-Man suit or the particles and in Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum mania he Wants revenge on Ant-Man for banishing him into the Quantum Realm and leaving him to die And he wants to get out of the quantum realm to take down the council of Kang´s and takeover multiverse. I think the film gives Darren Cross really powerful and interesting motivations because in the first film he wants revenge on Ant-Man for taking everything that he walked for away from him and in Ant-Man the Wasp Quantum Mania he wants to dethrone Kang and got out of the Quantum Realm to kill the Council of Kang´s and take over the Multiverse.

Best Scenes- Now Darren Cross has a lot of memorable scenes in both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Mania and It is pretty tricky to pick my favorite scene but if I had to pick One  it'll be the scene in Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania Is where he Is fighting Cassie on the bridge and he gets Thrown around by her any tell her to come back and fight him but she tell them to stop and tells him to not be a dick but in Darren Cross´s words He says.¨It's too late. ¨Look at me I'm such a dick and not only was it really funny. But it makes sense because he is admitting that he is a terrible person and turns against his former master Kang the Conqueror but unfortunately he overpowers Darren Cross and kills him and he says to Ant-Man.¨Well at least I died as an Avenger and that is all thanks to the wonderful and entertaining performance by Corey Stoll. 

Evil Deeds- Now Darren Cross has done a lot of bad things in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Mania. In the first movie he tries to kill Scott Lang´s daughter and he also threatens to kill Scott Lang If he doesn't take the Ant-Man suit. Now in Ant-Man and the Wasp quantum Mania danced kind of does at the same thing he tries to kill Scott Lang and his daughter Cassie when they are in the quantum realm he destroys Hank Pym's ship when First reintroduces himself to Hank Pym because I haven't seen each other since the first Ant-Man film. Now to be honest you kind of understand why Darren Croft does the things that he does because he is following his master Kang so he has to make everything go his way in order to not be killed by him. I think both movies do a terrific job of showing how evil and threatening Darren Cross is as a character. 

Conclusion- Darren Cross is probably one of the most underrated MCU villains because he his really great motivation because the first film and in Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Mania are relatively the same you can understand why he hates Hank Pym so much but you also feel bad for him because Kang treats him like absolute shit he shoves him against the wall he even threatens to kill Darren Cross if he doesn't do any thing that he says. His reform scene is really funny it's really cringe worthy but it works really well and it's probably the funniest death in the MCU. I'm going to give Darren Cross a 10/10.
