Here is My Villain Review of Ryuk

Here is My Villain Review of Ryuk

Now I´m going to Looking at Ryuk from Death Note 2017 and explain why he is the best part of the film.

Origin-  Now Ryuk´s Origin is similar to the his anime counterpart Because in this film that he explained that he is from The Shimogami realm a demon who likes to kill and torture people once someone finds the death note and he appear. I have to say the film did a decent job of explaining his backstory. We don't get enough of it. But I think the origin was done relatively decently but it's nowhere near as good as the way it was depicted in the anime.

Character- Ryuk as a character Is done tremendously he is relatively the same as he is in the anime he does manipulate Light Yagami in the film and he is obsessed with watching people die he loved the see people get tortured from his for them benefit he enjoys chaos and destruction and the film does it pretty well for the most part. I do wish there were more scenes of him interacting with Light Yagami.

Motivation- Now Ryuk´s motivations is that he wants to watch the entire world fall apart, he wants to cause the death of millions and billions of people. Now for the most part the film does a terrific job of keeping it accurate to the anime But I did wish he killed a lot more people like how he does in the anime.

Best scenes- Now unfortunately Ryuk does not play a big role in the film but there are a lot of scenes that I like in the film but if I had to pick one scene it would be the scene where he He first meets light Yagami and tell them that he could do anything he wants with the death note and tell them to kill Kill the cities criminals and not only is it really dark. But it made sense because he's trying to get inside of Light Yagami's head and tries to make him into a killer  and that is all thanks To the spectacular and wonderful performance by Willem Dafoe.

Evil Deeds- Now Ryuk does a lot of terrible things. He stalks Light Yagami to get his attention so they can keep on working together to kill more people. He manipulates him by saying to  Kill a lot of people so he can watch the whole world suffer and fall apart. Now to be honest I think it handles him being able relatively well. It is accurate to the anime but again I wish we got more scenes of him being more sadistic and cruel. We get a little bit of it but just not a lot of it.

Conclusion- Ryuk Is the best part of this entire movie in fact he is the saving grace of the film overall he's very menacing he has on screen presents and then the water great moments with him. But the problem is he's not in the movie that much I think they should have got him a lot more screen time that way he would have been one of the best villains of 2017 But since he's not in the film that much he is villain that is overall great but not perfect. Now obviously the best thing about this entire character is Willem Dafoe's magnificent performance he makes the character though you can tell he was having fun in the role. I'm going to give Ryuk a 7/10.
