Here is My Villain Review of Dar-Benn

Now I'm going to discuss the character of Dar- Benn who is the main antagonist of 2023's the Marvels and I'm going to explain why She is one of the most entertaining villains in the MCU. 

Origin- Now Dar-Benn origin I will admit it is a little bit better than Yon Rogg origin from the first film That's still not saying much because her origin is still really boring so we find out in the film that she was born on point how much she the Kree warrior and she had a battle of Captain Marvel which She destroyed  their sun and  their planet is dying. To be honest her origin is fine But it's still one of the blandest villain origins In the MCU not as bad as Gravik from Secret Invasion. 

Character- Now Dar-Benn as a character It's really interesting because you actually do feel bad for her because her planted is dying and she wants to bring the light back to her home world Hala. Also she is so desperate that she doesn't care if the brace kills her as long as her planet is safe. Now I will say though I think The High Evolutionary is a way better written villain but I think the film did a decent job of developing Dar Benn as a villain.

Motivation- Now i will say though Dar-Benn's motivations are a lot more Interesting then Yon Rogg's motivations from the first Captain Marvel film because he's more Visions were just really dull and really Bland how he wanted to kill the Skrulls for some reason. Well Dar-Benn's motivations are a lot more tragic and interesting because she wants to bring the light back to her planet so it can be restored and her people Would be safe And she is so desperate To save our planet that she doesn't care if she dies trying to do it. Now I will say though I think The Void's motivation from Thunderbolts is a lot more interesting but I think the film did a great job of giving Dar-Benn a really tragic but really understandable motivation.

Best Scenes- Now Dar Ben does have some interesting moments throughout the film. If I had to pick my favorite moment it will be the scene where she tells her people from Holland that he will restore the planet's son and it is a really powerful and entertaining moment because she's desperate to save her planet and it's all thanks to Zawe Ashton´s entertaining performance. 

Evil Deeds- Now Dar-Benn does do bad things like she tries to kill Miss Marvel by Harding the power of the bracelet to kill meth Marvel and her team. She also invade the whole planet and rages War On the prince that lives there unless she gets the bracelet so she can have her planet be safe So she can complete her mission. Now I will say though I think Xu Wenwu from Shang Chi Is a lot better of being evil than Dar-Benn because He was a lot stronger at the villain why did the film did a pretty great job of making Dar-Been evil but also understandable because she wanted to protect her planet.

Conclusion- Dar-Benn is a pretty decent villain I think her motivations are really emotional and really interesting how she wants to save her Planet Holla from dying to the point that she would let the bracelet kill her in order to keep her people safe. I still think she was pretty intimidating she did have an on-screen presence and I will say she was a lot more intimidating than Taskmaster was In Black Widow because taskmaster wasn't that intimidating She'll just really boring and a really terrible villain. In the moment with Dar-Benn are really entertaining the scenes where she explains her motivation to Captain Marvel the scene of her trying to save her planet were really fun and entertained to watch it it's all thanks to Zawe Ashton´s entertaining performance. Now i will say though villains like The Void, Xu Wenwu, The High Evolutionary, and red Hulk are way better villains than Dar Been. But I say she's better than the one like Ultron, Aldridge Killian, and Sidewinder because those villains are really terrible and not entertaining. So I'm going to give Dar-Benn a 7/10.
