Here is My Movie Review of Superman the Movie

So basically what happens is that it tells the origin story of Superman. Then you have Lex Luther who wants to plunge the state of California into a real estate scam. So he can make people buy off parts of the state and then he can make his own land And it's up to Superman to take down Lex Luther and save the state of California. That is basically what the story is for this movie. 

For a movie that came out in 1978 the acting is still great. 

Christopher Reeve absolutely nails it as Clark Kent, Kal- El/ Superman. What makes Superman such a great character is that he actually saves people and grows as a character. I have to say this Superman is better than the Superman played by Henry Cavill in the DCEU because that one he killed a lot of people and he doesn't emote or grow as a character. Also Henry Cavill is way too over the top. Well Christopher Reeve in this film is very entertaining. The chemistry between him and Margot Kidder, Ned Beatty, Jackie Cooper, Marc McClure, and Gene Hackman is still really great. Also his origin story is very accurate to the comics. 

Margot Kidder as Lois Lane. I still think she does a great job as this character. What Lois Lane is a great character is that you can really see that she really has feelings for Superman. I have to say that this Lois Lane is better than the lois Lane in Man of Steel Because that one played by Rachel McAdams was just boring and forgettable. Well Margot Kidder In this phone is really entertaining. Although I didn't really see any chemistry between Amy Adams and Henry Cavill. Well in this movie they chemistry between her and Christopher Reeve is more believable. 

Jackie Cooper as Perry White. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really funny because he is really grumpy. He really reminds me of J.K. Simmons who played Jay Joema Jameson in the Spider-Man movies. I have to say this Perry White is better than the Perry White boy by Laurence Fishburne in Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice Because that one was really boring and forgettable. Well this Perry White is way more entertaining. Also the chemistry between Henry Cavill and Lawrence Fishburne wasn't very good. Well the chemistry between him and Christopher Reeve in this movie was more entertaining. 

Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really smart and really funny. I have to say that Jimmy Olsen is way better than the Jimmy Olsen in Batman Versus Superman Dawn of Justice because  Jimmy Olsen gets killed off for no reason. Well Jimmy Olsen and this movie has a lot more screen time. The chemistry between him and Christopher Reeve is still great. 

Ned Beatty as Otis. I still think he does a great job as his character. I still think he is really funny because He makes a lot of dumb decisions in this movie. He really reminds me of Zech Zalifiankis´s character named Ethan from Due Date both of them are really dumb. Probably the funniest thing in this movie is ware Lex Luthor asking Otis to go get his robe because he is getting out of his swimming pool and so Otis gives him his robe and Lex Luthor says next time put my robe on after I'm out of the pool.¨ It is probably the funniest scene in the movie. The chemistry between him and Gene Hackman is still great. 

Gene Hackman as Lex Luther. I still think he does a phenomenal job as this character. I have to say this  Lex Luther is way better than the Lex Luthor in Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice played by Jesse Eisenberg because that one was really cringeworthy, really unwatchable and didn't really have any motivation. Well this Lex Luthor is  way more entertaining. Also the characterization is really accurate to the comics because in the comics Lex Luther is very smug, arrogant and rich and intimidating and has a dark sense of humor.  The one in the film is really accurate to that interpretation. I still think this is the best interpretation of Lex Luthor that we got in live action. Also his motivation is really dark because he wants to put the state of California into a real estate scam and people would have to buy off chunks of the land from him. He also almost destroys California by causing a massive earthquake. He also looks really accurate to the comic books because you think that like Luther does have hair but at the end of the movie it's revealed to be a bald cap.  Other the rivalry between Superman and Lex Luthor  in Batman Versus Superman Dawn of Justice was just really dumb. Well the rivalry between Superman and Lex Luthor in this movie is more believable. The chemistry between him and Christopher Reeve is still great. 

The directing by Richard Donner. What I like about his directing is that he did everything from the comics really accurately. He also got Lex Luthor perfectly in this movie. 

So in conclusion I think this is the best Superman movie in live action. I think this is one of the best DC movies. I wish we can get another Superman movie just like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
