Here is My Movie Review of Ant-Man

     Here is my movie review of Ant-Man.     

    Now it comes to the Ant-Man films i like all of them but this one is always been my favorite because of the really powerful and really emotional storyline of Scott Lang Who is this former criminal who want to turn his life around to spend more time With his daughter Cassie so he needs this guy named Hank Pam who tells him that he has to become Ant-Man to help him steal this thing called the yellow jacket suit made by his former Protege Darren cross who wants to use it to sell it to the military and other evil organization like the 10 rings and Hydra  And Scott Lang agrees to become Ant-Man  To take down Darren Cross AKA Yellow Jacket and turn his wife around so he can spend more time with his daughter Cassie. That is basically what the story is for the film. I think I have all the Ant-Man films and this one easily had the best storyline out of all of them begins about Scott Lang wants to leave his criminal life behind and be a hero

    The acting in this movie is still fantastic I still think everyone gives their all I can tell everyone is having fun as their characters. 

   

    However the absolute standout of the entire film is Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/ Ant Man Who probably gives one of my favorite performances in the MCU because not only does he give Scott Lang a lot of funny moments but you know we give him a lot of powerful and emotional moments as well and you get to tell that Paul Rudd was having the time of his life playing this character.  Now Scott Lang / Ant-Man as a character is incredible Because he going to really powerful and emotional character he wants to do is To put his criminal life behind and be the hero that he wants to be so he can spend more time with Cassie. I think his character arc is the strongest thing in the entire film. The scenes with Scott Lang/ Ant-Man are probably some of the best moments in the MCU whether it's him learning to control and for the first time or him bonding with his daughter Cassie it does lend to some really powerful and some really emotional moments in the film because Scott Lang really cares about his daughter Cassie and doesn't want anything bad to happen to her. But there's also a lot of funny moments with Scott Lane / Ant-Man like he first meets Sam Wilson/the Falcon for the first time he says hi I'm Scott. Fun fact actors like Arien Brody, Simon Pegg, Steve Buscemi, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Rudd, Arime Hammer, Martin Freeman, Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Michael J Fox, Adam Scott, James Franco, John Krasinski, Patrick Wilson, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick,  James Franco Ewan McGregor were all considered to play Ant-Man.

    Michael Pena plays Scott Lang ´ s best friend Luis In the film and I have to say his performance is probably the funniest performance of the entire film  because you can tell that Michael Pena is having a lot of fun as this character. Now out of all the characters Luis is probably the funniest character because all of his jokes are really funny but you can tell he really want to help Scott Lang become Ant-Man and take down Darren Cross. The scenes with Luis are probably some of the funniest moments of the film whether it's him telling his long stories or him reacting To Ant-Man shrinking for the first time it does lead to some really funny and some really entertaining moments throughout the film. The chemistry between him and Paul Rudd Is astounding. 

    

    Evangeline Lilly plays Hank´s daughter Hope Van Dyne.  I have to say she still does a remarkable job as the character.Now the character of Hope Van Dyne And the character you really feel bad for because she really misses her mother Janet Van Dyne because she thinks her mom is dead. But she's not she's stuck in the quantum realm And at first she doesn't like Scotland she doesn't think that he is worthy to become Ant-Man But as the film goes on they do start to get along and they start to fall in love with each other. The scenes with Hope Van Dyne are probably some of the most emotional moments in the MCU weather is her talking to her dad about their mother or her learning that Scott Lang has a daughter it does lead to some really beautiful and really heartwarming Moments in the film.  The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is still awesome. 

    

    Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym in the film And his performance is probably one of the most Captivating one of the most incredible performances in the film. Now the character of  Hank Pym Is incredible because he really wants to help Scott Lang leave him criminal life behind and become the new Antman and to be reunited with his daughter Cassie. But he also is going through a hard life because he thinks his wife is dead but she's not. She is in the quantum realm. The scene where Hank Pym Tells Scott Lang/Ant-Man How to control ants and not only was it in really important scene but it made sense because Scott Lang/Ant-Man has to learn how to control ants because it is his powers. It is probably one of the most incredible scenes of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Evangeline Lilly is still great. Fun fact actors like Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Harrison Ford, Michael Keaton, Liam Neeson, Ed Harris, Keanu Reeves,Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jude Law, Jeff Bridges, Jonh Slattery, Brian Cranston, Matthew McConaughey, Edward Norton, Sam Rockwell, Alexander Skarsgard, Michael Douglas, Gary Oldman, and Paul Rudd were all considered to play Hank Pym.

    Now for this being Abby Ryder Fortson ´ s very first movie. I Have to say she still does a terrific job as Scott Lang ´ s daughter Cassie In the film.  Now Cassie Lang as a character is shown to be really happy really Sweet because all she wants to do is to spend time with her dad Scott Lang / Ant-Man. The scenes with Cassie Lang Are probably some of the sweetest moments in the MCU weather it is her finding out that her dad is Ant-Man or Scott Lang showing up to her birthday party giving her that bunny toy and she is really happy to spend time with him. It does lead to some really heartwarming and powerful moments in the film because she really cares about her dad and she doesn't care that he has a criminal she just is happy that he cared about her. The bonding between her and Scott Lang/Ant-Man is the highlight of the film. The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is still awesome.

      Corey Stoll plays  Darren Cross / Yellow Jacket In the film and I have to say he still does a fantastic job with his performance as this character. Now I will say  when you compare Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket to other MCU villains  like Xu Wenwu, Gore, And Thanos. Darren cross is not the best written MC villain but I will say though he is a lot better than Hulk King and Aldridge Killian because those villains are just really boring and really unmemorable. Well Darren Cross /Yellow Jacket does have a Personality and motivations do make sense how he wants to revenge on Hank Pym For not telling him about the Ant-Man suit and he wants to use the Pym particles to weaponize the Ant-Man suit and sell it to Hydra and the 10 rings. Although you can tell that Corey Stoll was having a lot of fun as this character. The themes with Darren crossed are some of the month intents and entertain moments of the film whether it is him talking to Hope Van Dyne at the restaurant or him trying to kill Cassie and Scott Lang/Ant-Man it does lead to some really nail biting and suspenseful moments in the film.  Fun fact Darren cross would eventually come back in Ant-Man and the wasp quantumania but named M.O.D.O.K because he'll the rebuild by Kang The Conqueror and his group of scientist and he would eventually Resurrect him and he whats revenge on Ant-Man from banishing him into the quantum realm and he will eventually redeem himself and tried to kill Kang but he end up getting killed instead.

    The directing by Peyton Reed Is the best thing about this movie because why I love about his direct and that he gives all the characters really powerful and emotional character arcs especially Scott Lang Because when you first have to do this to him he had this low level criminal and he wants to change so he can spend more time with his daughter Cassie And in order to do that he has to become Ant-Man And take down Darren cross and prove Everyone that he is the hero that everyone needs So he can make his daughter happy. Also hey Pam and hope Van Dyne they also go through emotional cat dogs and well because hope is Coping with the lost of her mother along with her dad because they believed that Janet Van Dyen is dead but she's not she was stuck in the quantum realm And at first they don't really think they believe that Scott Lane can help them but at the film goes on they do start to build a connection And they start to trust him and Help him become the hero that Kathy wants him to be. I also like how he Balance at the humor with the emotional stuff As well because this movie is Really emotional But also has a lot of funny moments and most of those moments come from Luis who is probably the funniest MCU character. So overall I think he did a terrific job directing this film. Fun fact directors like Adam Mckay, Nicholas Stoller, Rawson Marshall Thurnber, Michael Dawes, Ruben Fleischer, and David Wain were all considered to direct this movie.

    So in conclusion this is still one of my favorite MCU films the storyline revolving around Scott Lang becoming Ant-Man and trying to leave his Criminal life behind to spend more time with his daughter Cassie is probably up there with guardians of the Galaxy as one of my favorite story lines in the MCU. Also all the performances are really tremendous my favorite performances in the film are Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Antman because he gave one of the funniest performances in this entire film. But he is also able to give Scott Lang is really incredible character development. Also the dynamic between Scott Lang and his daughter Kathy is the strongest aspect of the entire film you can tell that both Paul Rudd and Abby Ryder Fortson are having a lot of fun together in the film. Also Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket is a really underrated MCU villain he's very entertaining. But i will say though i think Xu Wenwu from Shang Chi is a better written villain than Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket. But I will say he's better than Kro from Eternals because that villain is really terrible and not interesting at all. I think this film is up there with Deadpool and Wolverine as one of the funniest MCU films. I highly recommend you watch the film especially if you enjoy Iron Man 2 with Robert Downey Jr. I give this movie a 10/10.
