Here is My Movie Review of Ant-Man

     Here is my movie review of Ant-Man.     

    So basically what happens is that you have this guy Scott Lang who has been released from jail and he wants to leave his Criminal life behind and spend more time with his daughter Cassie. Then he meets this guy named Hank Pym Who wants him to become Ant-Man and he wants him to steal the yellow jacket suit from his former protege Darren Cross. It has up to Scott Lang to take down Darren Cross/ Yellow Jacket and be reunited with his daughter Cassie and save the world that's basically what the story is for this movie. 

    The acting in this movie is still fantastic I still think everyone gives their all I can tell everyone is having fun as their characters. 

   

    However the absolute standout of the entire film is Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/ Ant Man In the film.  What makes Scott Lang/Ant Man Such a emotional and sympathetic character is that all he what to leave his criminal life behind and spend more time being a dad and spending more time with his daughter Cassie. Probably my favorite moment with Scott Lang / Ant Man is when he tells Hope Van Dyne that her dad isn't trying to shut her out he's just trying to protect her and not only was it really emotional but it made sense because Scott Lang Knows that Hank Pam really cares about her. It is probably the most powerful moment in the entire film. Fun fact actors like Arien Brody, Simon Pegg, Steve Buscemi, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Ewan McGregor were all considered to play Ant-Man.

    Michael Pena plays Scott Lang ´ s best friend  Luis. I have to say he still does an awesome job as the character. What makes Luis such a funny and interesting character and that he really wants to help Scott Lang save the world. Probably the funniest moment in the film is where Luis tells a really long story and Scott Lane tells him to slow down Not  was was it funny but it made sense because he wanted to know what Sam Wilson was talking about involving him. I also like how to scene set up countdown America Civil War very well.

    

    Evangeline Lilly plays Hank´s daughter Hope Van Dyne.  I have to say she still does a remarkable job as the character. What makes Hope Van Dyne such a sympathetic character is that she really misses her mother because she is stuck in the Quantum Realm. Probably the best moment with Hope Van Dyne Is when she first meets  Scott Lang not only was it funny but it made sense because later on in the MCU they start to grow hey relationship and become boyfriend and girlfriend. The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is still awesome. ¨

    

    Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym in the film. What makes Hank Pym is that he really wants to help Scott Lang leave him criminal life behind and become the new Antman and to be reunited with his daughter Cassie. Probably the best moment with Hank Pym Is where he burst meets Scotland and tells him to become Ant-Man to help him take down Darren Cross / Yellowjacket and save the world and not only was it great exposition but it made sense because Hank Pym needed someone else to take up the mantle of Antman.  It is probably the best character interaction scenes in the film.The chemistry between him and Evangeline Lilly is still great. Fun fact actors like Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean,  Gary Oldman, and Paul Rudd were all considered to play Hank Pym.

    Now for this being Abby Ryder Fortson ´ s very first movie. I Have to say she still does a terrific job as Scott Lang ´ s daughter Cassie  In the film.  What makes Cassie such a sympathetic character that all wants to do is to spend more time with her dad. Probably the best moment with Cassie Is when Scott Lang shows up to her birthday party and gives her a present which is a bunny plush. Not only was it really sweet but it made sense because she was happy that her dad showed up to her birthday party to wish her a really great happy birthday and it also shows how much Scott Lang really cares about her. It is probably the most heart warming scene in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is still awesome.

      Corey Stoll plays  Darren Cross / Yellow Jacket.  In the film. I have to say he still does An amazing job as The character. What makes Darren Cross / Yellow Jacket Such a really underrated villain is that you understand why he hates Hank Pym because he never wanted to tell him about the ant man technology. Probably the best Scene with Dan Cross Is at the restaurant where he has talking to Hope In the restaurant  telling her that her father failed and the dad and has failed as a mentor Not only was it really dark but main sense because he is basically trying to scar her emotionally. Fun fact actor Patrick Wilson was considered to play Yellow Jacket. Fun fact Corey Stoll Comes back as Darren Cross in Antman the Wasp Quantum Mania. 

    The directing by Peyton Reed What I like about his directing Is that he manages to balance the tone of the movie because one minute you'll have a really funny scene like Louis telling his long stories. Then you'll have a really sweet scene of Scoot Lang spending time with his daughter Cassie. Or you'll have a really dark scene of Yellow Jacket trying to kill Ant-Man in the final battle of the film. Fun fact directors like Adam Mckay, Nicholas Stoller, Rawson Marshall Thurnber, Michael Dawes, Ruben Fleischer, and David Wain were all considered to direct this movie.

    So in conclusion i still really enjoyed this movie. I still think the storyline is really entertaining with Ant-Man wanting to spend time with his daughter Cassie. I also like how this movie brilliantly sets up Captain America Civil War with Same Wilson/ the Falcon. This is still in my top three favorite movies of all time. I still think this was a really great start to Ant Man's character arc in the MCU. This is probably up there with Thor Ragnarok as one of the funniest MCU movies. I give this movie a 10/10.
