Here is My Movie Review of Send Help

Now when I saw the trailer to this movie I was really interested because one it was directed by a Sam Raimi who is a very talented director who directed the Spider-Man movies and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as well as other films and two The concept really intrigued me how it focuses on these two people on an island trying to survive it really reminded me of the Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe. So I watched this film and I have to say this is probably in my top three favorite films of the entire year because I saw the film two times and each time I watched it I started to like it even more and more. That is how amazing and exhilarating this film is. I also want to talk about the twist that happens later on in the film. 

Now let's talk about the storyline and it's actually a really interesting storyline because we focus on these two people named Bradley Preston and Linda Liddle. They work at this company and Bradley decides to take his whole office work clients on a getaway. But unfortunately the plane crashes everyone died except for Bradley and Linda and Linda knows how to survive while Bradley is being a complete idiot he's like oh this is not a big deal and at first everything doesn't seem that bad but at the days go by and they start to go more and more insane and they have to try to survive while not trying to kill the other one. Also  the storyline in this movie it's basically the lighthouse mixed with a bit of Castaway with Tom Hanks that's essentially what you get for this film and it's probably one of the most interesting story lines of the entire year. 

Now the performance is in this movie are incredible because you I said we got two tremendous and outstanding actors as your main character that being Dylan O'Brien from the maid Runner movies and Rachel McAdams from the MCU and these two actors really crush it as their characters not only do they give really fun and entertainment performance says but there are moments where the characters have to be really intense and try not to kill each other and again to vicious fights these actors pull it off perfectly. 

Now let´s talk about Dylan O'Brien because he is a magnificent actor. He was really tremendous as Thomas in the Maze Runner films and even though I am very neutral on those films I do think he would be the best part of the films. He was really awesome in Love & monsters as Joel Dawson. Caddo Lake as Paris Lang. Now as far For this film that's no different Dylan O'Brien delivers probably one of its funniest performances at the character of Bradley Preston because he does such a job of playing this really narcissistic and really dumb but really likeable asshole because you get to tell he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Bradley Preston is so funny because he is right from the start a complete jackass he's full of himself he doesn't have the best judgment because he makes such dumb decisions like for example when he hurts his leg when it gets on the island he tries to walk and Linda tell them not to and it's really funny. But at the same time he wants to get off the island. But he does go a little crazy to the point that it is revealed in the third act that he is the main villain in the film because he wants revenge on Linda for killing his fiance Zuri. Now there are so many memorable and really funny scenes with Bradley Preston whether it is him just like relaxing he's laying down In this chair and he like completely oblivious he doesn't even realize that he's been the son for a long time a says ironically Captain America's catchphrase he said the line I can do this all day and that was really funny. Or the scene where he thinks Linda is chopping his dick off They like screaming and there's Bloods flying everywhere but turned out she'd actually cutting open a rat to eat but that scene well is probably one of the most WFT moments in the film is also really funny that's his reaction of him freaking out Because he think that Linda is cutting his dick off but she's not but that's what he thinks Because he's just acting completely stupid and oblivious to what is happening. But there are moments where he goes completely insane especially when it comes to in the third act where he and Linda beat the shit out of each other, and he rubs her face in some dirt and she cuts him with the knife on the waist and they try to kill each other. Even in the scene where they're in this like Condo and they still try to kill each other. It totally did have some really funny and some really shocking moments in the film. Also  he and Rachel McAdams play off each other tremendously they have such brilliant chemistry throughout the film. 

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Rachel McAdam as Linda Liddie. Now Rachel McAdams is a tremendous actress, she has given some really amazing performances like in Red Eye as Lisa Reisert. She'll also terrific in the MCU as Christina Palmer. She was also terrific in Sherlock Holmes as the character of Irene Adlmer. Now as for this film that is no different because Rachel McAdam's is downright brilliant as the character of  Linda Liddle because she does such a stellar job of playing this really skilled survivor because she knows how to survive in the wild. On top of being really funny as this character is also able to be completely utterly crazy and this character and when the movie wants Linda to go crazy or funny Rachel McAdams does such a glorious job balancing both signs of this character and you can tell that she is having a lot of fun In the film. Now the character of Linda  Liddle is really interesting because unlike Bradley Preston who doesn't really think stray he's a complete idiot and is full of himself. Linda is a lot more intelligent, she knows how to survive in the wild, she is a  skilled Survivor and she wants to get off the island. But then you find out in the third act that she is actually Planned For the two to be on the island so she can get revenge On him for treating her like shit So she would kill him and get off the island And the twist reveal that She while Revenge On Bradley for treating her like garbage Well that we had twist that really surprise me because at first you think Working together to get off the island except they are applying to kill one another That is the big reveal that happened in the film and it's really good. Now the scenes with Linda Lindie are really incredible and really funny whether it is her trying to tell Bradley about how to survive on the island he doesn't really care he's just being a complete knucklehead he's being really oblivious. Or the scene where she sees Bradley attempting to Take his His clothes off because he thinks he is going to have intercourse with Linda and she tell them that was really funny and even when she goes crazy in the third act like that scene where she beats the crap out of Bradley with a golf club it just showed that she had enough of them being a complete asshole to her just being a complete horrible boss to her so when she killed them with the golf club it makes sense because he's just annoyed with him at this point and just wants him to die already and it did a lead to some really funny and some really dark and Sinister moments in the film. The chemistry between her and Dylan O'Brien is brilliant. I think they have amazing and stellar chemistry. You can tell that both of these actors really enjoyed working on this film together. 

However the thing I really want to talk about is the directing by Sam Raimi because this guy is a really tremendous director  because he has directed a lot of amazing films like the Spider-Man films, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Drag Me To Hell. The evil dad films. Now as for this film I still think he did a glorious job of directing the film because what I love about his directing is that you can tell that he really wants to show how two people who don't like each other try to get along while they're stuck on a desert island. Which is a really interesting idea that he went with to make this filming. I think he did a stellar job executing that idea of two people who really can't stand each other but they are forced to like to team up to solve the problem which is of course trying to get off the island. But I also like how even though this is a horror movie he is not afraid to make this movie funny because I t already said in this review there are so many funny moments more to the humor comes from Bradley Preston being a complete jackass and a complete asshole that's what makes his character funny. Linda's reactions to him being stupid are really funny. But I also like how Humided to make this really intense because despite this movie being funny it's actually a horror movie Would you if you seen any movie this guy has done is basically Sam Raimi's style like if you see it in Evil Dead Or Drag Me The Hell it's essentially his style of directing Even in the Spider-Man movie there are some really scary moments in those films like the hospital scene in Spider-Man 2 or Norman Osborne talking to the Green Goblin in the mirror. There is also a lot of scary moments that happen in this film like Linda going completely crazy trying to kill Bradley in the condo or them trying to kill each other in the woods it show that these characters are not perfect they will go to some extremely graphic and brutal methods to try to kill each other so I thought that was like really interesting. To be honest I think this is Sam Raimi's best directing film since Spider-Man 2. That's how brilliant his directing was in this film. So overall I think he did a brilliant job directing this film. 

So in conclusion I really liked this film and it's probably one of the biggest surprises of the entire year because I knew the film was going to be amazing but I didn't know how much I would like it until I watched it a second time. That's when I really loved the film. In fact this film is one of the best films of the entire year man we because of the directing by Sam Raimi´s Directing because even though this movie is really funny he does a glorious job and make it really suspenseful because again you have two characters essentially trying to survive on this island while trying to kill each other and I think he does a brilliant job of blending the comedy side of the film and the horrify moments of the film as well. Also the storyline itself is incredible because it's really simple you have Bradley Preston and Linda Liddle Who are both stuck on this island and they have to do everything their power to survive well they are secretly trying to kill one another and it's probably one of the best story lines of the entire year in fact is up there with the storyline with obsession as I want the best story lines of this year. The acting in this movie is Incredible Dylan O'Brien does such a glorious job as the character of Bradley Preston you can tell that he is just having a lot of fun playing this really sexist and really narcissistic jackass of a character he's just hamming it up not taking it seriously. But he can also be unstable as you see in the third act of the film. So he does a stellar job of being funny and really creepy as well. But easily the performance that steal the entire movie is Rachel McAdams as Linda Liddie Who are the character that is shown to be really smart and knows how to survive in the wild and not only does Rachel McAdams do a glorious job of being funny but she also does an exhilarating job of being crazy because there are several moments in the third act where she is pushed over the edge to the point that she would kill her boss for being horrible to her. She does a glorious job of balancing both sides of this character. Also there are so many memorable moments in the film in most of them come from Bradley Preston being a complete idiot and just a complete jackass like him relaxing In the sun and he doesn't even notice that he's not Paying attention to Linda and he says I could do this all day which is Captain America's catchphrase which that is one of the funniest moments in the film Or the thing where he thinks that Linda is cutting his dick off a like screaming at their blood spilling everywhere but it turns out she was just cutting open a rat to eat and that is probably again one of the most WTF moments of the entire film. The scenes wear him and Linda tried to kill each other Or the theme where Linda points out how stupid and how horrible of a boss Bradley is is really funny Or the scene where Bradley attempts to take his clothes off because he thinks he's going to have intercourse with Linda and told him no and he  puts his close back on and his reaction is really funny. Also again  all these moments are really funny and really disturbing. I think this thumb is up there with Pizza Movie as one of the funniest movies of the entire year. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like fun and over the top films like Lisa Frankenstein with Kathryn Newton. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
