Here is My Movie Review of Palm Springs

Now when it comes to this film I always enjoy it and re-watching it again It is still really funny that's due to all the over-the-top stuff that happens in the film and this is probably the funniest movies of 2020 in fact if I can compare to another over the top comedy film I would compare it to like the Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent with Nicolas Cage because both movies are really over the top and entertaining. 

Now the storyline is really simple because it revolved around this guy named Nyes who is getting married Misty who is a bridesmaid and everything starts to go well until he goes in this cave with this girl named Sarah Wilder because he wanted to show her what it is like and the two go into the cave and Sarah wakes up she's freaking out and she don't know that she's re living the same day so she tried to get Nye's attention by trying to tell him what is going on and they're soon hunted by this guy named Roy Schlieffen Who is trying to kill them and they have to figure out a way to undo the time loop and have Nile Mary Misty and made sure the wedding goes well and that's basically what happened it's basically Groundhog Day But if it revolved around a wedding and a cave that causes the time loop. I think the storyline in this movie is up there with the storyline in the Unbearable Wight of Mass of talent with Nicolas Cage as one of the most over-the-top story lines of the 2020s. 

Now the performances in this movie are over the top everyone is completely hamming it up as their character they're not taking seriously at all and that's why I like about this film The Performance that are so over the top And entertaining to the point that you can tell that all these actors are having a lot of fun as their character then the over the top acting  reminds me of the over the top acting in  Renfield with Awkawfina. 

Andy Samberg plays Nyles and his performance is really incredible because you can tell that he is having a lot of fun just going over the top and just not taking it seriously at all and this is probably Andy Sandberg's funniest performance he has ever given in his career. Now the character of Nyes is really funny because he wants to help Sarah Wilder get out of the time lib and even though he is really dumb that's what makes Nyes really funny he's very oblivious but he does deeply care about Sarah and they do start to get along as the film progresses. Now there are so many memorable and hilarious moments whether it be him getting shot in the shoulder and in the leg with an arrow and he is screaming in pain or him reacting to Sarah running over a police officer and killing him and he's freaking out about it or him Beating up the groom at the wedding it does lead to some really funny and some really over-the-top moments in the film. Also if Simu Lui was cast as Nyes in the film I think he would have been really funny and really entertaining The chemistry between him and Cristin Milioti, J.k. Simmons, Meredith Hagner Is incredible. 

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Cristin Milioti as Sarah Wilder because she probably gives the most over the top Performance in the film and her performance reminds me of Awkwafina's performance in Shanghai as Katy because both of them give over the top performances as these characters. Now the character of Sarah Wilder is incredible because she is really the smart one of the tube but yet she also freaks out when she wakes up on the same day like she's repeating the same day that Nile is repeating and she really wants to get out of the time loop so things can get back to normal. Now there are so many memorable and funny moments with Sarah Wilder Whether it be her yelling about waking up on the same day and saying what the fuck is going on Or her yelling at a cop Telling the cop to electrocute her with his taser Or her freaking out that Roy is shot Nyes in the shoulder with the bow and arrow. It doesn't lead to some really fun and some really over-the-top moments in the film and the romance between the two characters is the strongest aspect of the film. Also you can tell that Cristin Milioti is having a lot of fun as this character.  To be honest if Awkwafin was cast in this movie that would be really funny because she'll just go completely over the top and have a lot of fun as the character Sarah Wilder. I think her and Simu Lui would have amazing chemistry. 

Now with talk about JK Simmons because look he is a glorious actor he has given some really captivating and fun performances whether it be in the Kung Fu Panda 3 The Spider-Man films Whiplash and the cider house Rules. Now as for this film that is no different because give a really fun and incredible performance as the character of Roy Schlieffen because you can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Roy Schlieffen Is really funny because he is a jerk who is trying to kill Nyes because he got both of them stuck in the time loop but that's what makes this character so funny he's like so crazy to the point that he doesn't care if he shoots Nyes with a bow and arrow multiple times. The scenes with Roy Schlieffen are really incredible whether it's him explaining to Nyes why he hates him or him just being happy that Nyes is in the recycling bin and he's being asked to be shot by an arrow. It does lead to some really funny and some really entertaining moments throughout the film and the chemistry between him and Andy Samberg is terrific. 

Meredith Hagner plays Misty in the film and her performance is tremendous because much like the rest of the performances she does go over the top and you get to tell that she is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Misty is really funny because she really cares about Nyes because she really loves him because she is his girlfriend and wants the wedding to go perfectly but she finds out that Nyes and Sarah are in a Time Loop and she starts freaking out and she wants them to fix it. The scenes with Misty are really over the top and really funny whether it be the scene of her asking Nyes if he is cheating on her or the scene where she watches Nile beat up the groom and freaks out about it or her crying that Nyes broke up with her it does lead to a lot of the funniest and probably some of the most over the top moments in the film and the chemistry between her and Andy Sandberg is terrific. 

However the best thing about this movie is the directed by Max Barbakov Is perfect because what I love about his directing is that he does not take this film serious way at all he knows exactly what kind of movie he's making by making this an over-the-top and really funny time lip movie but I also like how he develops the character especially the character of Sarah Wildler who at first don't want anything to deal with Nile but as the film Goes on they do start to grow closer. I also like how he takes the concept of Groundhog Day and puts a new spin on it by having it be at a wedding. Also having the characters trying to have a perfect wedding day is a brilliant concept and I still think he executed it perfectly. I also like how he made the character of Nyes Really funny by making him be really oblivious to stuff that's happening and making him really dumb But in a way that the film is self-aware that he is not as smart as Sarah is. So I thought that was really incredible of how he made the characters very interesting because Nile is someone who is laid back really oblivious while Sarah is really intelligent but gets really annoyed really quickly.  I still think he did a glorious job of directing this film.

So in conclusion I still really love this film because it doesn't take itself that seriously and knows exactly what kind of movie which is of course an over the top comedy film. I also really like the story, how it's like Groundhog Day but if it took place at a wedding and the loop happened when the characters Nyes And Sarah went into the cave and they had to figure out how to end the time loop and get everything back to normal. Also the performances are really funny especially from Andy Sandberg as Nyes who is completely over the top and really fun to watch you can tell that he was having a lot of fun in the film. Cristin Milioti as Sarah Wilder also gave a really terrific and really entertaining performance as this character. I also enjoyed a lot of humor whether it is Sarah yelling at a cop or Nyes attacking the groom at the wedding Or him getting tased by the cop. Or Misty asking Nyes If he is cheating on her. That's all funny this film is in the bonding between Sarah and Nyes Is the strongest aspect of the film. This is definitely in my top five favorite films of 2020. I think this film is up there with Renfield with Nicolas Cage as one of the funniest films of the 2020s. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like over the top comedy films like pizza movies with Gaten Motarazzo Then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this film a 10/10.
