Here is My Movie Review of Dunkirk
Now this is going to be a very different review because well I'm going to talk about the movie itself. I mostly want to talk about It is one of the best war films of all time.
Now the storyline in this movie is very simple it takes place during the events of World War II you have the British trying to survive against not the Germany and trying to when the war and have the US overthrow the Nazis and end World War II ones and for all and they had to Evacuate somewhere to survive against the Nazis. And that's basically why the story is very simple and really interesting and it is accurate because this did happen in real life and it is probably one of the best storylines of 2017.
Now usually i would talk about the performances and to be completely honest i still think the acting is brilliant and I will talk about it really briefly but i'm monthly going to be talking about why this is one of the best war films and one of the best films of 2017.
Now something I really love about this film is That it perfectly showed how the British soldiers react to getting attacked by the Nazis they were really scared and some of them were so scared that they didn't want to fight against the Nazis because The soldiers in Germany We're really intelligent because they knew how to fight against the US I think the film execute that perfectly because This really did happen real life a lot of soldiers were really scared to fight against the Nazis And multiple soldiers had to encourage their comrades to step up and fight back to have the US win against the war and end World War II once and for all. Something else I really like about the film is that it doesn't have much dialogue it mostly tell the story through vigils and Dramatic music and That's something that is actually the best thing about this movie is that it showed the dramatic moments of World War II without having characters talk or give dramatic dialogue now the character then this movie they do give awesome and dramatic dialogue but is Mowie the music and the cinematography that most we does all the talking for the story. Which is the cinematography is the best thing about this movie because it is really beautiful just those scenes alone where the soldiers are on the boats and trying to avoid gang boned up by the Nazis is probably the best moments because of how brilliantly Christopher Nolan was able to shoot and direct those scenes so well in fact all the war moments are the best moments of the entire film. Also the music as I already stated is really brilliant because it is composed by the legendary Hans Zimmer who is a really good film composer who composed some of the best music in some of the best films of all time like The Lion King, Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Trilogy. Among many other films. My favorite piece of music in the film is The Mole because it sets up the film tremendously. It is the first piece of me that you hear at the very beginning of the film and it sets up the tone in the atmosphere of the film perfectly. Also the whole soundtrack is perfect. It's probably one of the best soundtracks of any Christopher Nolan film right up there with Inception as one of my favorite soundtracks of any film. Also the performances are tremendous whether you're talking about Barry Keoghan, Harry Styles, Tom Hardy or even Cillain Murphy's minor role. All the performances are really amazing. If I had to pick my favorite it is Barry Keoghan because he gives such a mesmerizing performance as George Miles. Also George miles is probably my favorite character in the film because he is the character that you really care about because in real life he really wanted to join the brush to fight against the Nazi the World War II and throughout the film you can see how much he is to prove that he can be a Marine and prove that he can be important to his team. Either way the best thing about this movie is the directing by Christopher Nolan who is probably one of my favorite directors of all time because he directed some of my favorite films which include Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Prestige. Now with this film there's no difference because he does a magnificent job directing this film much like the rest of the film he has directed because Christopher Nolan knows exactly what he's doing he wanted to make a war film that focused more on dramatic music and the spectacle of war rather than the characters and the dialogue and he does make you feel really bad for these soldiers because they were real George Miles wanted to become a member of The US Army to end World War II. I also like how he gets everything about what happened in World War II really accurately because the US had to fight against the Nazis to put an end to all the death and destruction that happened in World War I and World War II. Overall I think he does a magnificent job directing this film and this is probably my 10th favorite film he's directed because I think the films that he has directed are better than this one. So in conclusion I still really love this film because it does such a magnificent job of showing the heartbreaking nature and the darkness of what the US soldiers had to go through in World War II because they had to take down the Nazis and end the war. Now even though this film doesn't have a lot of dialogue I'm actually happy with that because it tells its story perfectly by using the chromatography and the dramatic and heart pounding me that plays the route the entire film. I also think the performance is are really terrific even though they don't have much to do in terms of character development i was actually okay with it because This they are still able to give really emotional and heartbreaking performances My favorite performance in this film is very Keoghan as George Miles because he gives one of the most beautiful and heart pounding performances in the entire film. Also the other actors like Cillain Murphy and Tom Hardy are really terrific in this film even though they don't have much to do they are still entertaining. To be honest this is the second Christopher Nolan film to have Bane and scarecrow AKA Tom Hardy and Kelly Murphy because they were both in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Also this film is in my top 3 favorite films of 2017. This is probably up there with Wind River with Jeremy Renner as one of my favorite films of 2017. Also this is easily my favorite War film of all time because of how beautiful and emotional it is with the way it tells its story through visuals and music. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like The King with Robert Pattinson then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
