Here is My Movie Review of Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania

Here is My Movie Review of Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania

So basically what happens is that it takes place years after Avenger Endgame. you have Scott Lang/Antman and he has written this book called Look out for the little guy. Then he gets the call that his daughter Cassie  is in jail. So they drive home and she tells her dad  she, Hank, Hope, and Janet have been working on this machine that can send signals to the quantum realm. But the machine starts to now function and they all get sucked into the quantum realm. Then Scott and Cassie get Captured and held hostage to Kang the Conqueror. So he makes a deal to them if they help him fix his time machine he will let them out but it turns out he was tricking them so he can get out Quantum Realm. so it's up to Scott Lang / Antman, Cassie Lang/ Stature, Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne/The wasp and hope Van Dyne / the wasp to take down came the conquer and get out of the Quantum Realm and that's basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is astounding. I think everyone probably gives their best performance out of the The ant man movies. I think everyone is given they're all.

Paul Rudd probably gives his best performance as Scott Lang / Ant-Man. What I like about Scott Lang is that how much the MCU has done a amazing job developing this character because in the first Ant-Man movie he was a small time criminal and he wanted to spend more time with his daughter but to do that he had to learn how to be a hero and they had to become Ant-Man to do that. In the second movie he had to help Hope Van Dyne and Hank Pym rescue Janet Van Dyne from the Quantum Realm. In Avengers Endgame Ant-Man had to help the Avengers time travel back in time to retrieve the Infinity Stones and bring back everyone who had been snapped away by Thanos. In this movie he has to rescue His daughter Cassie  from Kang the Conqueror and try to get everyone out of the Quantum Realm Probably my favorite moment with Ant-Man is when he first meets Kang the Conqueror. It is probably one of the most Intense scenes of the entire film. The chemistry between him Evangeline Lily, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors is tremendous.

Evangeline Lily Probably gave her best performance as Hope Van Dyne/ the Wasp. What I like about hope Van Dyne / the wasp is that the MCU has done an amazing job developing her as a character because in the first movie she was moaning over the lost of her mother because she was stuck in the Quantum Realm. In the second movie she wanted to get her mother out of the room and in this movie she is questioning what her mother is so afraid of In the Quantum realm. Probably my favorite moment with Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp is where She finds out why her mother didn't come back and it's probably the saddest scene in the entire movie. The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is terrific.

Michael Douglas at Hank Pym still does an astonishing job as the character though he's not in the movie a whole lot but I think for what he does have he is still entertaining. Probably my favorite moment with Hank Pym Is where He is a pride that there is a citizen in the quantum room that had the broccoli shaped head. It is probably one of the funniest moments in the entire film. Probably the most surprising scene is when he sees Darren Cross again and he is shocked that he survived in the quantum Realm; it is probably the most surprising moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Paul Rudd is still excellent.

Michelle Pfeiffer has a lot more to do as Janet Van Dyne / the Wasp than she did in the second movie. What I like about help Van Dyne / the wasp in this movie is that you can tell that she's really scared because she doesn't want to tell her daughter hope to know  who she met in the quantum room and and the thing where she finally reveals who that was it is probably the most tragic moments in the film. Probably my favorite moment with Janet Van Dyne / The Wasp is where Tell us Hope and Hank how she met Kang the conqueror is probably the darkest moment in the film. Find the fact Actresses like Sharon Stone and Catherine Zeta-Jones were both considered to play The Wasp. The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is amazing.

Kathryn Newton plays Cassie Lang/Stature and I have to say she does a spectacular job as the character. What makes Cassie Lang / Stature Such a sympathetic character is that all she wants to do is just spend time with her dad and wants to be a hero like him and the interactions between her and Scott Lang / Antman are probably the best moments in this movie. Probably my favorite moment with Cassie Lang / Stature is where she learned how to fight like her dad and it is one of the best moments in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Paul Rudd is extraordinary.

Corey Stoll reprises his role as Darren Cross from Ant-Man and in that first film everyone thought he died but it turned out he actually survived in the Quantum Realm and became M.O.D.O.K What makes M.O.D.O.K. such a threatening villain is that he remembered what Ant-Man did to him in the first film and I love how he explained that Kang the conqueror experimented on him and quantum energy made his head grow really big. Probably my favorite moment with M.O.D.O.K is when In the final battle of the film, he sacrifices himself and he becomes an honorary Avenger and I still think that was for the best moments in the film. I love that the helmet he wears is accurate to the comic books. I like how his voice really distorted. I think that was an interesting idea for the character and they executed it very well. Now a lot of people say M.O.D.O.K is the worst comic to screen adaptation. But I simply disagree with that statement entirely because I still think for the most part they did get the character relatively accurate to the comic book interpretation with a few changes from the source material. If you want to see a horrible interpretation of the character look at The Wrecking Crew in She Hulk because those characters are completely wrong they don't even act like how they are in the comics or the cartoons. Not only is M.O.D.O.K really intimidating. But he is really funny I love the part where he is fighting Cassie on the bridge and she tells him to not be a dick and he says to Cassie look at me I'm such a dick." Not only was it funny but it made sense because in the first movie Darren Cross did a lot of horrible things In that film and in this movie he admits to being a horrible person.

Jonathan Majors plays Kang The Conqueror in this film. I have to say he still does a tremendous job as the character. Now the character of Kang The Conqueror is very threatening and very interesting because his motivation is that he wants to get out of the quantum realm so he can take over the multiverse and kill every variant of him self so he could be the only Kang In the universe. Probably the best moment with Kang The Conqueror Anyway says to Scott Lane / Antman ¨ You think this is new to me?¨ Do you know how many rebellions I've talked down.¨ How many worlds I've conquered.¨ How may Avengers¨ I've killed and do you think you can beat me I'am Kang.¨ You talk to ants.¨ Not only was it really intense but it makes sense because he has traveled around the multiverse killing countless Avenger variants. Now as much as I like Kang in this movie the biggest problem with him is that they just over hyped him because I felt like they were trying to make him the next Thanos. I think they should have waited until like phase seven or eight to introduce him and the next big villain. Now I will say this Kang The Conqueror is Way better than Kro From the internals because that character had no redeeming qualities about him well king the conqueror had a lot of memorable and powerful moments and Jonathan Majors gives a glorious performance. The rivalry between him and Scott Lang / Antman is perfect. Fun fact actors like Michael B Jordan, Jeffrey Wright, Yahya Abdoul-Mateen II, John David Washington, Idris Elba, Mahershala Ali, and Lakeith Stanfield were all considered to play Kang The Conqueror. The chemistry between him and Paul Rudd is astounding.

The directing By Payton Reed Is really interesting because when it comes to the first two Ant Man films they were really light-hearted really and funny movies. But what I like about his directing in this way is that he keeps it pretty serious and I also like how he gave Janet Van Dyne more character development of how she met Kang the Conqueror. I think it is really interesting how he did that.

So in conclusion I don't think this movie is as horrible as a lot of people ben saying it is because there are far worse comic book films like Suicide Squad from 2016 and Catwoman from 2004. I still think Paul Rudd is still entertaining Ant-Man. Also Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror is still really entertaining to watch on screen. To be perfectly honest I don't think M.O.D.O.K is not all that bad. I still think he is really funny and probably the most underrated villain of 20223. Also I still think this is one of the most underrated MCU films. it is also right up there with Eternals from 2021 and one of the most over-hatted films of the 2020s. I give this movie an 9/10.

  1. Excellent review! I really enjoyed this movie, and was equally impressed with Jonathon Majors as Kang. I didn't think it would be possible to top Thanos or Loki but Marvel Studios has done it. Kang is awesome!!!

    1. I agree with you Lou Ant Man Man the wasp Quantummania is one of the best MCU Movies. I thought Kang the Conqueror would be in my top three favorite MCU villains but he is actually my number one because Jonathan Majors nailed it as the character. I think this is my new favorite movie of all time. I think this is my new favorite Paul Rudd movie of all time. The stuff between Scott Lang and his daughter Cassie is probably some of the most emotional moments in the film. I cannot wait to see what the MCU would do with Kang the Conqueror in the future. I think Paul Rudd gives his best performance as Ant Man. I can't wait to do a podcast episode on the film.

    3. I'm super happy that you liked the review Donald. This is probably my favorite review I've done on my blog. Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania is my favorite movie. Kang the Conqueror is my favorite MCU villain. Jonathan Majors still does an outstanding job as the character. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the future in the MCU going forward. This is still my favorite Ant-Man movie out of the trilogy. I like how this movie is consistent with its tone because there'll be some moment that funny but there'll also be some really dark and suspenseful moments as well.
