Here is My Movie Review of Joker´s Wild
Now this film is really interesting because it is based off of a death in the family and it features Joker torturing and killing Robin and that's it that's basically what the story is for the film it's very simple and really accurate to the comics.
The performances are really terrific. There's essentially only two actors in the film but both of them do a terrific job in the film as the characters.
However the absolute big standout of the entire film is David Howard Thornton who plays the Joker because his Joker performance is tremendous because you can tell that he completely understands the character because the Joker's supposed to be really unstable and really crazy and I think Howard got that down perfectly. Also his Joker voice is tremendous because it's a mix between Jack Nicholson's Joker from Batman 89 and a mix of Mark Hamill's Joker from Batman the Animated series. Now the Joker in this film is Denon Accurate. He's crazy, he's funny, he's entertaining and unlike Joker from Joker 2 this Joker is actually funny rather than depressed throughout the whole movie. The themes of Joker torturing Robin and trying to pick what music to play When he tortures him are not only really disturbing but really funny in a really dark and twisted way and that's out the Joker is supposed to be and the moments in this movie range from dark to really funny. Now I will say that I like David Howard Thornton as Joker. I prefer Heath Ledger because he is a lot better written and a lot darker to watch. I will say this Joker is better than the one played by Joaquin Phoenix from Joker 2. The chemistry between him and Joel LeBlanc is terrific.
Joel LeBlanc plays Robin in the film. I have to think he still does a terrific job as this character. Now Robin in this care in this film is the Federally just here to die, he's just here to be tortured by the Joker and that end accurate to the comic book storyline Edith in the family because the Joker brutally beat him with a crowbar and kill them. And the thing where robin watches The Joker rip his gun sound it just probably one of the most grossest moments at the entire film but it makes sense because the Joker Jets enjoys torturing and killing in the film so it makes sense to have Joker torture Robin in the film it's probably the most messed up moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and David Howard Thornton is perfect.
However the best thing in this entire film is the directing by Aaron Bennett Because I love about his directing that can get everything right he doesn't make the Joker really dumb he makes him just like how he is in the comics because in the comics Joker is crazy he's funny and that's exactly what he did for this Joker in this film because Joker and this movie is a mentally deranged psychopath like how he is in the comics. I think it is really terrific of how he did that.
So in conclusion I still really enjoy this film because it did something that Joker too failed at doing and that is making the Joker funny and crazy because that film just made Joker really depressed and a big loser. Well this film made Joker really crazy and really scary but really funny at the same time like how he is supposed to be in the comics. Also David Howard Thornton's performance as Joker is tremendous, you know he's entertaining. He's really scary as the character and I would say he's my 4th favorite actor to play Joker because I think Mark Hamill and Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson are better as the Joker. I also think that the violence in this film is perfect and it also puts Joker too to shame because that phone has nothing violent in that movie at all because the movie's radar but they pulled back online things well this film feels more like a red or Joker film because you have Joker Torturing Robin by cutting his tongue out and ripping out his organs. So this is a far better Joker film than Joker 2. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you enjoy Jack Nicholson's Joker Or Mark Hamill's Joker in Batman 89 and Batman the Animated Series. Then I'm sure you're going to enjoy this film as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
