Here is My Movie Review of Mufasa The Lion King

Here is My Movie Review of Mufasa The Lion King

So basically what happenes is that it tells the backstory between Mufasa and Taka of how they used to become friends until they slowly started to hate each other And how Taka became Scar.  And then there is other lion named Kiros Who wants to destroy the circle of life and become king of the pride lands and up to Mufasa and Taka to take down Kiros and save the pride lands. That is basically what the story is for this film. I have to say the storyline revolving around the backstory of Mufasa and Scar has a lot of potential and the film executes it perfectly but I  like how it introduces Simba's daughter Kiara.

The voice acting in this movie is tremendous. I think both the new actors and the old actors do a terrific job as all their characters. To be honest I think the acting in this movie is probably up there with Monkey Man has one of the best acted films of 2024.

Aaron Pierre voices Mufasa in this film. I have to say he does a tremendous job because he actually does an excellent job of mimicking a young James Earl Jones who voiced Mufasa in the original film. Now the character of Mufasa is really incredible because you really feel bad for him because he lost his parents in the flood and that is why he was a part of  Taka´s family  and you can tell that he really cared about Taka at first because he saw  him as a brother. The scene where Mufasa birth means Sarabi It's probably the most beautiful moment of the entire film because it foreshadows their relationship in the Lion King 2019 because together They become king and queen of the pride land and they have a baby cub named Simba. It is probably the most emotional and powerful scene of the entire film. Although the bonding between him and Taka is the strongest aspect of the entire film because you have to buy them as a brotherly duo. The chemistry  between him and Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Mads Mikkenson, Kagiso Lediga,  Seth Rogan, Billy Eichner and Blue Ivy Carter is perfect.

Kelvin Harrison Jr. voices  Taka in the film. I have to say he does a tremendous job as the character because he does that glorious job of mimicking a young Jeremy Irons who voiced Scar in the original Lion King film. Now the character of Taka is really remarkable because in the beginning of the film he is shown that he really care about Mufasa and they have a strong bond together but add the film goes on he starts to turn to the dark side and turned against Mufasa and decides to team up with Kiros. The scene where Taka betrayed Mufasa is probably the most shocking moment of the entire film because he was jealous of him and Sarabi spending time with each other and it also for Shannon's the events in the 2019 Lion King movie because in that film taka who  is called Scar get the jealous of Mufasa and Sarabi´s relationship and he wanted her to be his queen but she refused. It is probably the most suspenseful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Aron Pierre is terrific.

Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner both voice Timon and Pumbaa In the film. I had to say they still do a terrific job as these characters just like how they were in The 2019 Lion King film. Now the characters of Timon and Pumba are just like their counterparts from the 2019 Lion King. They are really funny and they crack a lot of jokes. The scene where Timon and Pumba say that they killed Scar is not only really funny but it makes sense because they didn't really kill Scar. Simba tossed him off the Rock and he was going to be eaten  by the hyenas. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film because they were trying to make the story all about them.

Tiffany Boone voices Sarabi in the film. I have to say she does a spectacular job as the character because she sounds like Alfred Woodard from the 2019 Lion King. Now the character of Sarabi Is magnificent because she acts exactly like she does in the 2019 Lion King film because she shows that she really cares for Mufasa and they start to fall in love and want to help him get to the pride lands. The scene where Sarabi stars to fall in love with Mufasa it's probably the most powerful moment of the entire film because it foreshadows events that will happen in The Lion King 2019 because she becomes Queen of the pride lands in that film. It is probably the most powerful moment and one of the most beautiful scenes of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Aaron Pierre is incredible.

Now for this being Blue Ivy Carter´s Very first film she ever starred in. I have to say she did a spectacular job voicing Kiara. I'm really looking forward to seeing what she does in the future. Now Kiara out of the character is basically the emotional core of this entire film because he wants to know the backstory of her grandfather Mufasa. The scene where Kiara asked Rafiki why are the outsiders so evil and he explained that all they have is hate and They don't care about anything else except for themselves and Kiara mentioned that she will never be like them and it is probably the most powerful and one of the most magnificent scenes of the entire film.

Kagiso Lediga voices young Rafiki In the film. I have to say he does a exquisite job as the character. Now Young Rafiki is exactly like his adult counterpart because encourages Mufasa to never give up and become king of the pride lands. The scene where young Rafiki Explains to Mufasa how he can predict the future is really powerful and entertaining because he basically said that it's how he feels can protect the good stuff or the bad stuff of the future and it was a really important and entertaining moment throughout the entire film. The chemistry between him and Aaron Pierre  Is perfect.

Mads Mikkelsen voices Kiros In the film. I have to say he gave the best performance of the entire film because his vocal performance is so scary that it actually fits the character really well. To be honest I think he is the biggest standout of the entire film. To be honest his performance is so perfect that he can actually play a really perfect Dr Doom because the voice he puts on is so scary and so creepy that it actually fits Dr Doom perfectly. It's just kind of sad that the MCU underutilized him. Now the character of Kiros Is tremendous because he is a very threatening and awesome villain and he had a really awesome very motivation he wants revenge on Mufasa and Taka for killing his son and he wants Taka to turn against Mufasa so they can rule the pride lands together and to be honest he almost succeeds because he succeeds in turning Taka evil by corrupting him by saying that they should work together take down Mufasa. He also almost kills Mufasa in the film's climax. The scene where Kiros Tells Taka to join him is a really dark and tremendous theme because it shows Taka going down a dark and evil path into being evil. It is probably the most nail biting moment of the entire film. Also Kiros´s Song bye bye is really dark because he sings about how he is going to destroy the circle of life and it is a really dark and awesome villain song. To be honest he's probably up there with Warlord Dementus from Furiosa a Mad Max Saga as one of the darkest villains of 2024 and also one of the most underrated villains of 2024. The Rivalry between him and Mufasa is incredible because he wants to destroy everything that Mufasa knows and cares about. The chemistry between him and Aaron Pierre Is incredible.

Now the directing by Barry Jenkins it's really incredible because he actually did not like directing the film. In fact in an interview he said that it was a horrible experience. But to be honest I think he did a terrific job of directing the film because he gave Mufasa a really powerful and tragic backstory with Taka who would eventually become Scar because they start off as best friends but eventually they turn against each other. I also like how he developed Kiros because he could have made him a generic and dull villain but luckily he does not he actually gives Kiros a really dark awesome personality and a very incredible and dark motivation and actually does succeed because he turns Taka against Mufasa and he wants to be king of the pride lands and destroy the circle of life. So I think that was really incredible of how he did that.

So in conclusion I was really surprised by this movie because I thought this movie could just be okay because I was kind of suspicious of the actor who is voicing Mufasa. But to my surprise I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would. Also the storyline in this movie was actually really entertaining, it showed the backstory between Mufasa and Scar in the highlight of this entire film. I also like how this film is a lot darker than the Lion King 2019 because this one actually had more higher stakes to it. Also the scene where Taka turns Against Mufasa with a really powerful and really dark moment of the entire film. Also Kiros Is it really tremendous villain because he is really scary and his motivation was so dark because he whined taka to turn against Mufasa he actually succeeded in corrupting Taka to make him turn bad and he also wanted revenge on Mufasa For killing his son was also another strong moment of the character. Also Mads Mikkenson´s Performance is so scary and so Sinister that he actually gives the best performance of the entire film. Also Kiros is up there with Warlord Dementus from Furiosa a Mad Max Saga as one of the darkest villains of 2024 and also one of the most underrated villains of 2024. This is probably up there with Lisa Frankenstein at one of the most underrated movies of 2024. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like The Lion King 2019 with Chiwetel Ejiofor. I'm sure you're going to like this movie as well. I give this movie a 89/10.
