Here is My Movie Review of It Ends With Us

Here is My Movie Review of It Ends With Us

Now this is going to be a very different review because this one's going to be really serious because i'm not going to just explain why the movie is a disgusting piece of garbage from an entertainment point of view but from a marketing point of view.

So basically what happens is that you have this woman named Lily Bloom and she recently lost her father so she is trying to find a way to move past that then one day she made this guy named Ryle Kincaid and that start to fall in love they really like each other until he finds out that she fell in love with another guy back when she was in high school named Atlas Corrigan and he gets mad her for cheating on her with a old friend and he beside to treat her like shit plus emotionally and physically and she has to try to find way to break up with this guy well on top of that she is having a baby and that's basically what the story is for this film. I'm going to say this and I don't care. This is probably one of the most disgusting and one of the most disturbing storylines of 2024 because it covers real life tragedies in relationships. Here's the funny thing now this movie reminds me of the Family Guy episode screams and silence the story of Brenda Q because that episode had Brenda dealing with her abusive boyfriend Jeff and this is kind of the same thing but more realistically but slightly worse because It with the one good thing about that episode and trust me there isn't a lot of good things about it because I hate that one at least it's 22 minutes it wasn't 2 hours and 10 minutes of torture for Brenda. Well this movie is 2 out of the 10 minutes of drama and torture for Lily Bloom.

Now the acting in this movie is not the problem with it because the actors did okay with their performance, it's more with the characters in the film and their behavior.

Now Blake Lively plays Lily Bloom in this film. I have to say she did an okay job with her performance in the film. You can clearly see is trying to give a good performance. But the character of Lily Bloom is so unlikable because at first you do feel bad for because her father died she is trying to get over it then she fall in love with this guy named Ryle Kincaid and she thinks everything is fine with him because she really likes him but once he emotionally and physically attacked her she wants to leave him but then when her old friend from high school Atlas Corrigan she got uncomfortable and wants to go back to the guy she just hooked up with who treats her like shit and have a baby with him and just shut down her old friend in favor of the guy she is currently dating. I mean you feel bad for her when her boyfriend Ryle Kincaid treats her like garbage  but you honestly don't feel bad for when she wants to go back to him because it's like why would you want to date the guy who attacked you like why would you do that so that just made Lily Bloom more unlikable. The scene where Lily Bloom finally divorces and it makes you think why couldn't you just divorce that psychopathic lunatic from the start the fact that she didn't dump him immediately after he attacked her just shows how stupid Lily Bloom is as character. The chemistry between her and Justin Baldoni, Jenny Slate, and Brandon Sklenar Is decent.

Justin Baldoni plays Lily Bloom´s Brother Ryle Kincaid in the film. I have to say he did a decent job with his performance again he did the best that he could with this awful and I mean awful material. But the character of Ryle Kincaid Is  disgusting Because at first he likes Lily Bloom, he finds her attractive and they start dating but he found out that she already had a boyfriend that was Atlas Corrigan. He physically assaults her and tries to kiss her without her consent so he's basically rapping his own sister to have her stay with him. But then he feels guilty about it but then for some reason he does it anyway so they  have a child together and then he finally dumps her which just makes him more despicable. Also the second he sees the other guy that Lily Bloom is dating he physically beats the shit out of him in the restaurant and Just because he thinks she cheated on him with another guy.  He is basically Jeff from Family Guy because both of them treat their girlfriend like shit by physically and emotionally abusing them and that whole thing in the restaurant was just so disgusting and uncomfortable to watch. The chemistry between him and Blake Lively is decent.

Jenny Slate plays Lily Bloom´s friend Allysa In the film. I have to say I think she does an okay job as this character because despite the horrible material she has given she is trying her best to give a good performance. But the character of Allysa Is so stupid because she is like happy that Lily Bloom is staying this psychopath  boyfriend and she has no problems with it she doesn't know that he is  physically abusing her and when she does find out she doesn't even react correctly because you have to react frighten if you find out that you are in a toxic relationship but Allysa doesn't even freak out all so just makes the character even more dumber than she already is. The scene where she finds out that Lily Bloom is getting abused by your boyfriend is not even intense because sure she acts worried but i didn't buy it because of how stupid she is at the character. The chemistry between her and Blake Lively is fine.

Brandon Sklenar plays Atlas Corrigan In the film. I have to say much like everyone else he does a decent job despite the horrible writing of this film. He does an okay job as the character. Now The character of Atlas Corrigan  Is so dumb because he he knows that Lily Bloom is dating this guy who's obviously a monster who physically hits here and treats her like garbage but yet he doesn't call the police because he doesn't even think it's that big of a deal okay no it is a deal because your girlfriend getting beaten by a guy so you should probably call the police that your spouse is getting attacked by another dude. The scene where he finds out that Lily Bloom is cheating on her is just so dumb it shows that every character is fucking stupid in this movie because Lily Bloom is stupid because she don't think that her boyfriend going to hit her. The chemistry between him and Blake Lively is okay.

But the worst thing about this movie is the directing by Justin Baldoni because it felt like you were trying to tackle the subject of domestic abuse but to be honest I think he took it way too far because he shows way too much in this film the intercourse moments I'm not even King here this felt like a triple X film that's how disturbing this movie was and it obviously shows that he that did not have to do a movie that had to do with domestic abuse and toxic relationships because it feels like he wanted to show everything to the audience how women get mistreated by by men Here's the thing you didn't need to make that a 2-hour and 10-minute movie about it. The overall I think he did a horrible job directing the film/

So in conclusion I hated this film. The storyline was disgusting and disturbing just watching Lily Bloom getting emotionally and physically abused by her boyfriend was just not fun to watch at all. The only passable thing was the acting because it wasn't that bad. But that doesn't hide the fact that the movie was boring and I'm not even kidding here. It literally felt like a pornographic movie because this movie is PG-13 but it felt like a triple X movie because of how much sexual stuff was in the film and how much disgusting stuff was in it as well. This is without one of the most disgusting and one of the worst films of 2024. Also this film is in my top five worst films of 2024. This is also up there with Infinite as the worst films of the 2020s. This is just a live-action interpretation of Family Guy's Screams and Silences, the story of Brenda Q because the exact same thing happened in that episode. The only difference is that one was only 22 minutes, well this is just  2 hours and 10 minutes of a woman getting treated like shit. I say just skip this movie. It is not a good movie to watch because it is so uncomfortable and so disgusting because the message is you just stay with the boyfriend that treats you like garbage. If you want to watch a better movie that has to deal with being in a toxic relationship then just go watch Renfield from 2023 because  that movie treats it more seriously. But it makes it more silly because between Renfield and Dracula that movie is much more comfortable to watch than this one. I give this movie a 1/10.

So that's kind of it for the review I could have left it like that it gave him this movie a 1/10. But I want to talk about the horrible marketing for this film because this film was made by Blake Lively. If you don't know who she is, she is the wife of Ryan Reynolds and she was also in Green Lantern and if that movie got a sequel she would have become the villain in that movie. But what she did was kind of inhumane because she marketed this film as a rom-com like a romantic comedy but it's not. It is a drama film about domestic abuse. But then she goes on this interview with Parker Posey and she asked her how is her little bump and because at the time with pregnant with her baby and she gives her this disgusting eye role and did not pay attention to the interviewer and when the interviewer ask her what's it like wearing those clothes and she got offended because the interviewer ask her about the clothes she was wearing. But she thought it was a sexist question and she was acting like Scarlet Johansson was one time she was asked the same question she got offended as well. It does proves that you can't lie and market your film in Romantic comedy or anything if it's not the actual film genre it is. Seriously I can go on about why this is a horrible marketing scheme but I'm going to leave you with the worst marketing ever.

Here is My Character Analysis of Thor/Why I Think Disney Ruined Thor as a Character.

Here is My Character Analysis of Thor/Why I Think Disney Ruined Thor as a Character.

Now Thor’s first MCU appearance was in 2011's Thor. Now in this film Thor is deemed Prince of Asgard but after he disobeys his father Odin he gets banished and gets his powers to take away from him and get sent to Earth where he meets Jane Foster and the two of them start a relationship. Meanwhile evil half brother Loki had taken over Asgard so he had to do everything in his power to take down Loki and reclaim the throne and become worthy to his father again. Now for this being Thor's first MCU appearance I have to say I did a Stellar job of developing him because at first Thor starts out very arrogant he is in over his head thinking that he can take down the frost Giants but he realized that there are consequences for not obeying his father's orders and he does get His powers take away from him because he didn't obey orders and why like about thor in this film and that he doesn't crack any jokes he is complete with serious. He is played by Chris Hemsworth and he still does a Stellar job as the character.

Now Thor's next appearance in the MCU was in 2012's The Avengers. Now in this film Thor has to team up with Iron Man, Captain America Black Widow, the Hulk and Hawkeye to take down his evil half brother Loki who is leading an alien invasion to attack New York and Thor has to do everything as powers to take down Loki and save the universe. I have to say for this being Thor's second MCU appearance it still does a still a job of developing Thor as a character because in this film he has to team up with the rest of the Avengers to take down Loki and also learn with like to be part of a team and much like how he end in the first film Thor doesn't crack that made jokes he is mostly serious. Now Much like I said before he is played by Chris Hemsworth and he still does a terrific job as the character.

Now Thor's next MCU appearance is 2013's Thor The Dark World. Now in this film Thor has to team up with his evil half brother Loki to help him take down the evil dark elves who have invaded Asgard and he also has to help his girlfriend Jane Foster get the ether out of her otherwise known as the Reality Stone and save the world. I have to say for this being Thor's 3rd MCU appearance it's still does a excellent job of developing Thor and the character because in this one he has to play the differences aside with his evil half brother Loki in order to prevent the dark elves from destroying the world he also has to help his girlfriend Jane Foster get the reality Stone out of our so the world doesn't go into total Darkness. Now much like I said about him in The Avengers, Thor in this film is a lot more serious. He doesn't crack many jokes. Now I have said multiple times that he is played perfectly by Chris Hemsworth.

Now Thor's next MCU appearance was in 2015's Avengers Aid of Ultron. Now in this film Thor has to team up with the Avengers to take down this evil robot called Ultron that Iron Man has made because he thought it'll bring peace around the world But in reality Ultron want to kill off all humanity. I have to say for this being Thor's 4th MCU appearance It still does a terrific job of development Thor as a character because in this movie has to help the rest of the Avengers take down Ultron and he is still serious like he was in the other MCU films he doesn't crack many jokes and much like I said a lot he has played by Chris Hemsworth and he gives a tremendous and entertaining performance.

Now Thor's next appearance is in 2017's Thor Ragnarok. Now in this film Thor Has to team up with his half brother Loki in order to stop their evil sister Hela who has became Queen of Asgard but unfortunately they were banished to the planet of Sakaar where Thor has to battle the Hulk But he have to convince them to team up with him so they can take down Hela. I have to say for this being Thor's 5th MCU appearance I think it does a decent job of giving Thor a character arc because Hela destroys his hammer and he gets banished to Sakaar To fight the Hulk. But eventually convinces him to help him take down Hela. But unfortunately they did make Thor kind of silly in this movie. He does have serious moments but this is kind of the beginning of the downfall of the character. Now once again he is  played by Chris Hemsworth and he still does an excellent job as the character.

Now Thor's next MCU Appearance was in 2018's Avengers Infinity War. In this film Thor get ambushed by Thanos and he has to watch his Have brother Loki die in front of him and then he get left to die in space and then he Means the guardian the Galaxy and he told them that he needs a new hammer so they decide to go to this place called Nidavellir and he called that storm breaker and together along with the rest of the Avengers they have to take down Thanos And preventing him for from using the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half of all life in the universe.  I have to say For this being Thor´s 6th appearance in the MCU spectacular job of giving Thor a really powerful and tragic Character Arc  because in this film he had to watch his brother die by Thanos he had to team up with the Guardians and the red to the Avengers to try to take down Thanos but he failed and Thanos of wins in the end. No my truck I said multiple times he is  played by Chris Hemsworth and he probably gives his best performance as the character in all of the MCU.

Now Thor's next MCU appearance was in 2019's Avengers Endgame. Now Thor in this film is really depressed. He has let himself go by Jeff drinking a lot of beer until the Avengers recruit him to help them time travel back in time to get the Infinity Stones So they can bring everybody back who's been wiped out from Thanos. For this being Thor ´ s 7th MCU appearance. I have to say it does a decent job now unfortunately they did make door kind of silly in this movie and not in the one thing I didn't really like but i will give credit at least it makes sense because he blamed himself for  not killing Thanos when he had the chance though you can also understand why he is so unhappy because his mother died his father died his half-brother Loki is dead so you can understand all that death Affecting him on a emotional level and on a physical level. Now much like I said multiple times before he is played by Chris Hemsworth and to be honest still does a spectacular job as the character because he  gives more of an emotional performance. To be honest I do think his performance in the first Thor film is best because he took the wrong seriously.

Now Thor's next MCU appearance is in 2022 Thor Love and Thunder. I have to say this was the nail in the coffin for Thor as a character because in this film he has to deal with his girlfriend Jane Foster who is diagnosed with cancer but also he has to rescue the children of Asgard from Gorr The God Butcher. But in this one he is a idiot in this movie because Thor just makes way too many jokes and and does it take anything sadly like did i mean there are moments where he is taken seriously like the stuff where he and Jane Foster discussed about her cancer but even that is played up as a joke andIt felt like this movie took everything about Thor all the theory stuff and just tossed out the window and just made him into a goofy clown. I have to say for this being Thor's 8th MCU appearance it is pretty bad because they just made this awesome warrior into a silly cartoon. Now much like I said a lot I do think Chris Hemsworth he still does a good job in this movie but I got to say this is his weakest performance and the character because he just overacts and cracks jokes and in this movie was more like the first Thor film then it would have been a lot better and I think Chris Hemsworth would have given a better performance in the tone was like that movie. To be honest I do think this is Disney's fault because they made him Into a complete idiot because it feels like they just wanted to make him family friendly and it works with characters like Ant-Man and Spider-Man because those characters can be funny well being serious. But with Thor they should have kept him serious throughout the entire MCU.

So in conclusion this was really fun to do. It was really interesting to discuss how Thor went from a serious and badass Warrior. To a complete knucklehead of a character and it's kind of depressing because Thor never cracks jokes in the comics but because It is The MCU and they wanted to make all the characters silly they ruined him. Now Thor makes another MCU appearance it has to be darker and more serious like how he is in the movie Thor with no jokes just pure awesome and intense performance. But I will it was fun to discuss the character arcs that Thor went through in each film So that was really Interesting to discuss.
