Here is My Movie Review of Mank

So basically what happens is that it tells the real life story of Herman J Mankiewicz who is this screenwriter develop the screenplay  for a movie he's making called Citizen Kane and he meets with this girl named Mation Davis Who tell them that she wants to help him make his screenplay for Citizen Kane and it's up to Herman J Mankiewicz to complete his screenplay Citizen  Kane and make the movie happen and that's basically what the story is for this film. The storyline in this movie is really interesting because we're focusing on the best screenwriters of all time Herman J Makewitz. 

The acting in this movie is outstanding. I still think everyone is giving 100% effort in their performances . I think this is one of the best Acted films of 2020. This movie is probably up there with Killers of The Flower Moon as one of the best acted films of the 2020s

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Gary Oldman as Herman J Makewitz because he gives one of the most powerful performances he has ever given in his career as an actor because he has given some really powerful and captivating performances like him and Jim Gordon in the Dark Knight Trilogy or him as the Lord Shen in Kung Fu Panda 2 even his mineral role in Oppenheimer he has still given some really awesome performances. Now Herman J Makewitz as a character is really interesting because he wants to make one of the best movies ever made that being Citizen Kane. He will do anything in his power to get his screenplay adapted and make his movie happen. The scenes with Herman J Makewitz Are incredible weather it is him trying to write his screenplay or him meeting Mation Davis It does lead to some really powerful and terrific scenes because in real life he did meet this famous actress and he did to make one of the best movie of all time that being Citizen Kane. The chemistry between him and Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins  is perfect.

Amanda Seyfried plays Mation Davis in the film. I have to say she still does a spectacular job as the character.  Now Mation Davis  as a character is Incredible because she wants to help Herman J Makewitcz get his screenplay Citizen Kane to be approved by the studio  so the film can happen and become one of the best films of all time Now she does get jealous of Herman J Makewitcz Because he is getting more attention than her and she feels like she deserves to get along the credit for the making on the film. The scenes with Mation Davis Are really terrific whether it is her Filming the film Or her fall in love with Herman J Makewitcz It does lead to some really powerful and captivating moments in the film Because the film does a glorious job of making you care for these two characters because they would eventually start a relationship well they were working on Citizen Kane. The chemistry between her and Gary Oldman is fabulous. 

Lily Collins plays Herman J Mankiewicz´s secretary Rita Alexander in the film. I have to say she still does a glorious job as the character. Now Rita Alexander as a character is really interesting because she Shown to be really strict towards Herman J Mankiewicz because she wants him to make The perfect screenplay and doesn't want him to overwork himself to the point that he'll become stressed out But also showed that she deeply cares about him. The scenes were Incredible Whether it is Rita Alexander mentions that it is the best thing That Herman J Mankiewicz Has ever written Or her reading the script it does lead to some really incredible and remarkable moments in the film. It does lead to some really interesting and really important moments in the film. The chemistry between her and Gary Oldman is remarkable. 

But the best thing about this movie is the directing by David Fincher. Now when it comes to David Fincher he is a really talented director. I loved his directing of the movie Zodiac with Jake Gyllenhaal because he got everything about the Zodiac killer  accurately. But I have to say I like his directing Baron this film because he really captured the life Herman J Mankiewicz of how he became one of the best Green play Riders ever and how he made one of the best movies of all time with sane by writing one of the best screenplays of all time. I think it is really perfect of how he did that. I almost like having shot this movie in black and white because this movie takes place in the 1940s where most films were black and white with no color. I think it was really excellent how he did that. I also think him casting Gary Oldman was a fantastic choice because I don't think I could see anyone else playing Herman J Mankiewicz other than him. I think he did a perfect job of casting him in the film. 

So in conclusion this is still one of my favorite films of 2020 because of the story revolving around what the best screenwriters ever were, Herman J Mankiewicz who wrote one of the best screenplays ever made and made one of the best movies ever made, Citizen Kane. Also Gary Oldman's performance is my favorite thing about this entire film because he has a lot of powerful and awesome lines of dialogue. This is still in my Top 11 in my top 50 favorite films of all time. I like the cinematography where everything is in black and white like in a 1940s film at the time. This is in my top 10 favorite Netflix original films. This is also up there with The Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe. as my favorite black and white film of all time. Not to mention this is in my top 10 favorite Gary Oldman films of all time because Gary Oldman is one my favorite actors of all time. Also the romance between Herman J Makewitz and Mation Davis is spectacular because I can watch them just Bond with each other that's perfect their romance says and it is the Highlight of the entire film. I highly recommend you watch the film especially if you like Oppenheimer with Cillian Murphy. Or if you enjoy The King with Ben Mendelson Then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
