Here is My Movie Review of Atlas

Here is My Movie Review of Atlas

So basically what happened to that it takes place in the future and you have artificial intelligence that I've taken over and you have this woman named Atlas who is recruited by this guy named General Boothe who tells her that There's an evil cyborg named Harlan Shepherd who is playing to destroy humanity in rebuild it for the robots and it's up to at least shepherd to take down Harlan Shepherd and save the world and that is basically what the story is for this film and I'm going to go out and say this is the most generic and one of the most boring stories for a sci-fi film I have ever seen because it's the same thing Robots trying take  over the world trying to kill humanity Now that can work in movies like I´ am Mother and I,Robot. But this movie doesn't work because those movies used this concept really well. This film just recycled the same story lines from those films.

The acting in this movie is awful because it feels like nobody is giving it their all and what's really disappointing is that this movie has a terrific cast. But the problem is that they don't  give a  shit or they're just completely wasted in this entire film. Now There is one Good performance.

Jennifer Lopez in the film is awful as the character of Atlas Shepherd. She is just completely over the top and just flat out annoying In this performance. But the character of Atlas Shepard is awful because all she does is yell and complain and question what is going on and that's the character In the film and I got so annoyed with this character I literally wanted  Harlan Shepherd To kill her. That's how annoyed I was with her character. The chemistry between her and Sterling K Brown, Mark Strong, Simu Liu, Gregory James Cohan Is decent.

Mark Strong completely wasted as the character General Boothe Because He's barely in the movie and Mark Strong just feel like if we walking throughout the performance it doesn't feel like he wants to be in the film at all and the character General Boothe is that he just give the exposition and that's it That's his entire character and what's really disappointing that Mark Strong in the tremendous actor because as much as I didn't like Green Lantern 2011 he was the best part of that movie as the character Sinestro. This the Worst movie he has ever done and the worst performance he has ever given. The chemistry between him and Jennifer Lopez is okay.

Much like I said with Mark Strong Sterling K Brown is completely wasted and the character of Colonel Elies Banks Because much like with Mark Strong it feels like he doesn't want to be in this film and feel like he's just sleepwalking throughout his performance. The character of Colonel Ellis Banks is just like Mark Strong's character General Boothe's in the Sense that all he does is give expedition and then the film makes it look like he's dead but he's not and that's all his character is just a guy that delivered exposition. The chemistry annoying him and Jennifer Love has is average.

Gregory James Cohan Voice S.M.I.T.H In this film he  gives the worst performance in this entire film. He is just over the top and so annoying and it just feels like he'll just be there to Get a paycheck. The character of S.M.I.T.H Awful because all he does is that he just cracks jokes and gives expeditions. He asks Atlas a bunch of questions.  w the pat out of the runtime makes the film feel longer than it already is.  The chemistry between him and Jennifer Lopez is okay.

Now the only actor I felt that gave the best performance   and the only actor who entertained me throughout this piece of shit of the film was Simu Liu as Harlan Shepherd because it felt like he was the only actor in this entire piece of shit of a film that actually wanted to be there It felt like he had the most fun in the film and I'm going to say this In terms of redeeming quality in bad movies he is the best part of the entire film and it is really interesting to see Simu Liu play a villain instead of a hero. The problem is you don't see Simu Liu until 51 minutes so it's kind of a big disappointment that the best character in the movie doesn't even show up until that amount of time in the film making his  introduction scene entertaining but not perfect so the film unfortunately wastes Simu Liu as an actor. Now the character of Harlan Shepherd  Is the best character in this movie. He is threatening, he's entertaining to watch and  his scenes are the best moments in this film. Also Harlan Shepherd´s motivation makes sense because he wants to wipe the human race off the faith of the earth so he can rebuild the universe to make humanity more intelligent Now as fun as that is to watch and it is unfortunately the film doesn't really center around that very much so a waste of potential and I'm gonna say it I really wish Harlan Shepherd was the main character in this film. Probably the best moment with Harlan Shepherd Is where during the final battle he tries to destroy the robot S.M.I.T.H and not only was it really powerful but it makes sense because he wanted to have the bombs go to earth and disintegrate all if you made so he can rebuild it and make the humans more intelligent it's probably the most entertaining moment of the entire film I'm going to say this Harlan Shepherd entertaining villains of 2024. I think he's up there with the chameleon Kung Fu Panda 4 as  one of the underrated villains of 2024. The chemistry between him and Jennifer Lopez is fine.

Now the worst thing about this film is the directing Because this film directed by Brad Peyton Who directed really great films like San Andreas Rampage and Cats and Dogs and the revenge of Kitty Galore All really entertain films but with this film I don't understand What he was trying to do they wanted to be a drama they wanted to be a sci-fi film I just don't get the the character the moment he trying to give out with it so dumb it doesn't make any sense then we don't even know anything about this character All we know is that she was the one who killed her own mother by accident and she freaks out a lot that's it that's all we know of her. So I think he did a pretty terrible job of directing the film.

So in conclusion I hate this movie. The storyline was so cliche and predictable the acting was Really awful. Most of these actors are really great but unfortunately the film wastes them. The only great performance I liked was from Simu Liu because he was the most entertaining part of the film as Harlan Shepherd. Also Harlan Shepherd is the only character I liked because he was threatening. He has a really great motivation and  his scenes were the best parts of this film. But unfortunately as fun as it was to see Sim Liu play a villain in a film  he is completely wasted. But that being said Harlan Shepherd is up there with The Chameleon from Kung Fu Panda 4 as the most underrated villain of 2024. He is also up there with Lloyd Hansen from the Gray Man as one of the most entertaining villains of the 2020s. Just skip this movie just go watch Chappie or go watch I,Robot with Will Smith you'll have a lot more fun with those two films then you'll have this piece of garbage of a film. I think Atlas is up there with Infinite as one of the worst movies of the 2020s. I think It is up there with Tarot as one of the worst films of 2024. I give this movie a 1/10.
