Here is My Movie Review of Dawn of The Planet of The Apes

Here is My Movie Review of Dawn of The Planet of The Apes

So basically what happens is that it takes place right after the first movie left off. You have Caesar who is settling down with his new family with his wife Cornelia and their sons Blue Eyes and Cornelius. Then you have Koba who at first is with Caesar but then he starts to question why Caesar prefers humans over his own kind so he decides to betray him and tries to kill him and then you have this guy named Dreyfus who is the mayor of San Francisco who wants to figure out what makes the apes so intelligent so he can Find out why They are trying to kill them and then you have this guy named Malcolm who really cares about the apes and it's up to see their and his family to take down Koba and Dreyfus and Save his family and that is basically what the story is for the film. I have to say well I enjoy the story in the last movie I have to say this storyline is a lot more powerful and a lot more interesting because we get to see more of Caesar and his family and the war against him and the humans.

Now well I loved the acting in the first movie. I have to say this probably has better acting because there's a lot more character development and a lot more emotional and dramatic moments In the film.

Now much like what I said in my Rise of The Planet of The Apes Review the biggest standout of the entire film is Andy Serkis as Caesar. Now I enjoyed Caesar in the last film. I have to say he is even better in this film because we actually get to see more of his new life with his wife and two kids. Probably the best moment with Caesar it's where he confronts Dreyfus and tells them that he and the humans are not allowed in his territory. Not only was it really powerful but it made sense  because Caesar  still doesn't fully trust humans because they view humans as malicious people. It is probably the strongest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jason Clark, Keri Russell, Nick Thurston, Gary Oldman, and Toby Kebbell is terrific.

Jason Clark Plays Malcolm in the film. I have to say he does a spectacular job as the character. What makes Malcolm such an incredible character is that he really cares about Caesar; he wants to help him fight back against Dreyfus and protect him and his team of apes. Probably the best moment with Malcolm is where he tells Dreyfus not to kill the apes and not only was it very suspenseful but it made sense because He tells him that the apes are way too advanced and intelligent to kill and it's probably the most Nail biting scene of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Andy Serkis is astonishing.

Keri Russell plays Ellie In the film. I have to say she does an excellent job as the character. What makes Ellie Such a wonderful character is that she really cares about Caesar and his family and wants to help Malcolm protect them and take down Dreyfus and Kaba. Probably the best moment with Ellie Is where She first meets Caesar and his family and not only was it very beautiful but it made sense because right from the start she wants to help them take down Dreyfus and Kaba and protect the rest of the apes. It is probably the most beautiful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Andy Skeris is remarkable.

Now let's talk about the secondary villain of the film Dreyfus, played by Lord Shen himself Gary Oldman and he does a fantastic job with his performance. What makes Dreyfus such an incredible villain is that you really feel bad for him because he is coping with the loss of his whole family. He wants to protect the human race from being ambushed and killed by the apes. Now his motivation is very interesting because he wants to protect the humans from the apes and what makes his motivation so scary is that he believes he's doing the right thing but he's actually doing it in a very horrific and deadly way. Probably the best moment with Dreyfus is where he argues with Malcolm and explains they are animals animals attacked us¨ not only is it well the most memorable quotes in the film and one of the most shocking moments in the film he is actually right because the apes turned against the humans and tried to kill them and it's probably the most shocking and suspenseful moment of the entire film. The rivalry between him and Caesar  is wonderful. The chemistry between him and Andy Serkis is perfect.

Nick Thurston Plays Caesar´s older son Blue Eyes In the film. I have to say he does a fantastic job as the character. What makes Blue Eyes such a tremendous character is that he really wants to help  protect him and his entire family from Dreyfus and Kaba. Probably the best moment with Blue Eyes is when he Checks up on his father to see if he's okay and not only was it very beautiful but it made sense because Kaba almost killed him. It is probably the saddest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Andy Serkis is brilliant.

Toby Kebbel plays Koba In the film. I have to say he does a glorious job as this character. What makes Koba such an excellent villain and that he's basically the opposite of Caesar  because he does care about humans but Koba hates humans he wants to kill every single one of them off so the apes can be the dominant race of the world. Also his motivation is really interesting because he essentially wants all humans to be extinct. He wants to kill Caesar so he can take his place as a leader of the apes. Probably the best moment with Kaba is where Says he ¨Caesar likes humans more than apes.¨Not only was it a very intense scene but it made sense because he learned that Caesar is turning against his race and helping out the humans and it's probably the most powerful moment of the entire film. The rivalry between him and Caesar is exquisite. The chemistry between him and Andy Serkis Is tremendous.

But the best thing about this entire movie is the directing by Matt Reeves Because why I love about his directing is Exactly develops either more at a character because in the first film he had to learn how to be a leader and in this film he is essentially the leader he has to protect his family at all times. I like how he gives Dreyfus and Koba really awesome and understandable villain motivations because he could have made dry fist in Koba such bland and or weak villains but luckily he doesn't do that he gives these villains character emotional impact and very powerful moments throughout the film. I think it is perfect of how he did that.

So in conclusion, I like the first movie. I have to say I think this film is a lot better because we get to learn more about Caesar and the character arc he goes through this movie it's very sad but very powerful because he had to watch his wife get shot by one of Dreyfuss's henchmen and as well the more heavier moments in the film and both Dreyfus and Koba make really intimidating but really sympathetic and understandable villains.  I think Dreyfus is up there with Terrence Fletcher in Whiplash as one of the best villains of 2014. I think Koba is up there with Lord Shen From Kung Fu Panda 2 as one of the best villains of the 2010s. I have to say if you are a fan of Rise of Planet of the Apes With James Franco I'm sure you're going to enjoy this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
