Here is My Villain Review of Calvin Candie

Here is My Villain Review of Calvin Candie

Now I am going to discuss the character Calvin Candie who is the main villain in 2012's Django Unchained And explain why he is one of the darkest and one of the most despicable villains and film history and Explain what makes him such a hateful but entertaining character

Origin- Now Calvin Candie's origin is pretty mysterious because not much as known about him but he does mentioned that he grew up on his father's plantation farm and he was confused of racial equality and that's pretty much all we do get of his origin but did the film does a great job explain a little bit about his past wife while keeping it really mysterious.

Character- Now Calvin Candy is probably the most disgusting and racist character of all time because he just enjoys being racist towards African Americans He has no sympathy for Slaves and just likes to own them. He also likes to force slaves to fight to the death to get money. It's implied that he had intercourse with his younger sister. But the scariest thing about Calvin Candie is that when you're first introduced to him in the film he seems very nice and down to earth but that's the thing he is pretending to be all nice and friendly to hide his bigotry and hatefulness of African Americans and I think the film does a   excellent job of showing how evil and heartless he is.

Motivation- Now Calvin Candie's motivations are very interesting because he wants to Get more slaves so you can become the richest and most powerful plantation owner ever. He also wants to get 12,000 dollars from Django Freeman and Dr Schultz. The film did a remarkable job of giving common candy a very powerful and dark motivation because back in the 1600s hundreds this is what plantation owners really did: they tortured slaves and Sold them to get more money so they could become richer.

Best Scenes- Now Calvin Candie has a lot of powerful and memorable moments. But if I have to pick my favorite moment. It'll be the scene when it first meets Django Freeman and Dr Schultz  and he offered them a drink and only is it really intense but it makes sense because he is trying to hide The fact that he is a bigoted and racist person and it's probably the darkest and quite sadistic moment of the entire film and it is all thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio's powerful and incredible performance.

Evil Deeds- Now Calvin Candy has done A lot of horrible things  like for example he mentions to Django and Dr Schultz that he has slept with his younger sister numerous times he forces slaves to fight to the death for money. He said the racist stuff to them. He doesn't feel sympathetic toward them because he enjoys physically and emotionally abusing them and I think the film does a fantastic job of showing how cruel and despicable he is.

Conclusion- Calvin Candie is One of the darkest Darkest villains of 2012 he is bigoted he is hateful and that's what makes him so interesting you automatically the second you see him you automatically do not like him because of how unlikable is. He is really accurate to real life plantation owners because back in the 1600s they tortured a lot of slaves and  forced them to kill each other for money. He has one of the best villains of the 2010s and it is all thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio's powerful and tremendous performance. I'm going to give Calvin Candie a 10/10.
