Here is My Villain Review of Black Mask

Now I'm going to discuss the character black mask who is the main villain in 2020's Birds of Prey film And explain why he is a terrible villain and Explain why he has nothing like his comic book counterpart. 

Origin- Honestly Black Mask´s origin in the film is not really an origin story because the film barely touches upon it the only thing he mentioned and that he's from a rich  family and he and gives into his family fortune to become a crime lord and that's it that is only about Black Mask and it's nothing like the characters in the comics and the comics he owned a Makeup company and the way he became black mask is that his face was horribly burned so he carved a mask out of it father's coffin and he downed the mask. But the film doesn't do a good job of explaining his origin and the film just does not get his origin accurate at all aside from the fact that he's from a rich family. 

Character- Black mask in the film is nothing like how he is in the comics in the comics here they sadistic Murder who killed millions of people he tortured them and he they member of a cult in this thing they just made black mask into a misogynistic asshole who hates women and they made him gay which I don't have a problem with him being gay it  just they should just made him more scary but no they just mean into a hammy and ridiculous villain who just swear the lot and that's the entire character he and the guy that hates women he is gay and he swears a lot that's all the character is so the film fails at adapting Black Mask as a character. 

Motivation-  Black Mask´s Motivation that he wants to have Harley Quinn retriever diamond for from this girl named Chrisandacane and that's it that's his whole motivation he wants a diamond and it's one of the most blandest villain motivations in the DCEU that is all black mask is motivation nothing more nothing less and the comics he had much better motivations when did his stereotypical rich narcissist. So the film also fails to give him a proper and interesting motivation. 

Best Scenes- To be honest Black Mask doesn't really have memorable scenes. I guess if I had to pick one okay moment with him it is where he is torturing this one guy and he says you have a nose full of snot. It was a little bit funny. But most of black masses scenes are just so forgable and they're either boring or just flat stupid so the film also fails of giving black mask memorable scenes

Evil Deeds- Black Mask doesn't do bad things but he tortures people and he sexually abuses a few women and attempts to kill Chrisander Kane and that's it. That's all the evil he does like compared to the one the comic the one the comic does way more messed up stuff than this one so again the film fails at making Black Mask evil. 

Conclusion- Black mask is one of The worst DCEU villains he's just way too over the top and  to take seriously Black Mask is supposed to be a sadistic and malicious killer who doesn't care for human life whatsoever he It's about to be very scary not this over the top and goofy character. I'm going to give Black Mask a 2/10.
