Here is My Villain Review of Black Mask

Now I'm going to discuss the character black mask who is the main villain in 2020's Birds of Prey film And explain why he is a terrible villain and Explain why he has nothing like his comic book counterpart. 

Origin- Honestly Black Mask´s origin in the film is not really an origin story because the film barely touches upon it the only thing he mentioned and that he's from a rich  family and he and gives into his family fortune to become a crime lord and that's it that is only about Black Mask and it's nothing like the characters in the comics and the comics he owned a Makeup company and the way he became black mask is that his face was horribly burned so he carved a mask out of it father's coffin and he downed the mask. But the film doesn't do a good job of explaining his origin and the film just does not get his origin accurate at all aside from the fact that he's from a rich family. 

Character- Black mask in the film is nothing like how he is in the comics in the comics here they sadistic Murder who killed millions of people he tortured them and he they member of a cult in this film they just made black mask into a A little bitch who just yells and screams at the top of his lungs For no reason and not to mention he doesn't cut people's eyeballs like he does in the comic books he doesn't like Mention his time with Bruce Wayne's family and probably the dumbest thing is that they're just throwaway line Which implies that he said that his family are phonies there have been hiding under a mask but yet you don't see Black Mask like burning his parents house to the ground So this just proved that black mask was done horrible in the film

Motivation-  Now Black Mask doesn't really have a motivation he wants to kill Harley Quinn because install a diamond from her and that's it. Which is not a strongly good or written motivation for black mask because comics Black mask Has much better motivation like him rebuilding the false face Society torturing and brutally killing Cat woman's brother In-law Animator eat pieces of the corks so that is a great motivation those are great more invasions him rebuilding the false face Society him whined the torture Catwoman and become the roller of the Criminal of the underworld in Gotham City. So that just proves that this movie did not give black mask a great motivation just gave him a really dumb one and a really generic one as will.

Bad Casting- Now Black Bask in the film was played by Ewan McGregor and this was a really bad casting choice because yes he's a good actor but he was so annoying as black mask all he does throughout this movie is that he either swears his head off or scream and watch that is Ewan McGregor's entire performance in this film and not to mention he is not intimidating as this character he is horrendously Miscast because he's not jacked now i'm not saying cast like john Cena as Black Mask because that will be even dumber you need like an Aaron Eckhart or like a Michael Fassbender someone that has an on-screen presence throughout the movie so when you have to buy as Black Mask And I think he would have been a better villain if someone else played the character. But overall I think the movie did a terrible job casting Black Mask and the only member will part about his character is we mentioned that someone has a nose full of snot down the only thing that I found pretty funny.

Evil Deeds- Now Black Mask is it supposed to be really evil like in the comics but in this film he doesn't do anything that bad I thought from killing a couple people he doesn't do anything except for hating on women in the original comic book Black Mask burned his family to Death Empire torture Catwoman And try to kill Batman and became the ruler of the criminal underworld in Gotham That's how evil black mask is but in this movie that made him into a little bitch that's all they did with this character so overall The film did a horrible job of trying to make black mask evil.

Conclusion- the overall black mask is a terrible villain he doesn't even act like his comic count part thought film aside from wearing a mask and being the leader of the false face Society which they're supposed to be really sadistic. But other than that there were very little rumblings to the character of Black Mask in the comics because they just make black mask into a little bitch and a loser. But the worst part about black mask is that Ewan McGregor's performance because all he yelling and screaming the route the entire film and does not work to be honest i do respect him for having fun at the character because you can say that he was having the time of his life playing Black Mask but he was still the wrong choice if you're going to cast Black Mask you need like Liev Schreiber or Michael Shannon those two will make a lot more sense as Black Mask. But Black Mask is still a terrible villain and that is why i'm going to give Black Mask a 2/10.
