Here is My Movie Review of 1917

Here is My Movie Review of 1917

Now when it comes to this film this was always my favorite War film of all time manually because of the fact that it took place in World War II and focused on These two soldiers named Lance Corporal and Lance Corporal Blake Have to deliver a message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake to try to end the war against the US and Germany. This is also up there with The King with Robert Pattinson as one of the best films of 2019.

Now the storyline is probably one of my favorite storylines out of any war film because it revolved around these two soldiers named Lance Corporal and Lance Corporal Blake Have to deliver a message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake to try to end the war against the US and Germany and the idea of two soldiers trying to get a message to end the war Against the US and Germany is it really incredible concept and the film executes it brilliantly Because it does get everything right because all this did happen in real life and I have to say the storyline is probably up there with the storyline in the king as one of the best storylines of 2019.

Now the acting this movie It's really interesting because this film doesn't focus around performances that much and mostly focuses on the cinematography and the spectacle of the world War I setting but the performances are still really incredible and really tremendous. I still think the acting is up there with the acting in The King as one of the best acted films of 2019.

However the absolute big stand out of the entire film is George McKay as Lance Corporal Schofield who gives the most powerful and one of the most captivating performances of the entire film because you can tell that He is giving so much heart and emotion to the character and he probably gives one of the best performances of 2019 right up there with robert Downey Jr.'s performance and Iron Man in Avengers endgame that's how tremendous George McKay's performance is in this film. Now the character of Lance Corporal Schofield Is really accurate to how he was in real life because this was a guy that was desperate to deliver this message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake To end the war against the US and Germany And he is so desperate to complete the mission that he doesn't care if he gets hurt or gets all muddy he really wants bring the message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake. The scenes with Lance Corporal Schofield Are incredible Whether it is him and Lance Corporal Blake walking through the mud or them seeing Captain Smith or one of my favorite moments is where Lance Corporal Schofield and Lance Corporal Blake are in this cave and Lance Corporal Blake Gets crushed by rocks during the explosion and he starts panicking and he's trying to get him he Lance Corporal Blake Gets hurt really bad and he has to say his final goodbyes and Lance Corporal Blake breaks down crying and it's one of a sad moments of the entire film because Lance Corporal Schofield Really cared about his friend Lance Corporal Blake. And also dad laid to some really heart pounding and some really scary moments throughout the film. The chemistry between him and Dean- Charl Chapman, Mark Strong, and Richard Madden  is still fantastic.

Dean- Charl Chapman plays Lance Corporal Blake In the film and he probably gives one of the most emotional and one of the most beautiful performances of the entire film because much like George McKay he gives one of the most powerful and one of the most captivating performances of the entire film. Now the character Lance Corporal Blake Much like Lance Corporal Schofield he also had to deliver the message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake to end World War I and end the conflict between the US and Germany and survive through the war. The scenes with Lance Corporal Blake are tremendous whether it is him and Lance Corporal Schofield walking in the mud to meet Captain Smith so he can give them orders. Or him and Lance Corporal Schofield trying to outrun the explosion in the cave and it does lead to some really heart pounding and some really emotional moments throughout the film.

Mark Strong plays Captain Smith In the film and even though he doesn't play a huge role in it he still gives a very captivating and a really entertaining performance as this character. Now the character of Captain Smith was really accurate he Wanted the US to fight against the Nazi the World War I and he wanted Lance Corporal Schofield and Lance Corporal Blake deliver a message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake. The themes captain Smith's are incredible whether it's him telling Corporal Schofield and Lance Corporal Blake To deliver a message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake. Or telling Lance Corporal Schofield to move on From his friends death and it does lead to some really powerful and some very captivating moments throughout the film. Fun fact Mark Strong previously played the villain Doctor Sivana In the movie Shazam which also came out in 2019. The chemistry between him and George McKay Is excellent.

Richard Madden plays Lieutenant Joseph Blake In the film. Now even though he's only in the end of the film he's still gives it really powerful and captivating performance and the scene will Lieutenant Joseph Blake get the message is probably the most powerful and one of the most beautiful endings of 2019 and one of the best moments of the entire film because he realized that world War I Is possibly coming to an end meaning that the US Had attempted When Against the Nazis. Fun fact 2 years after the film was released Richard Madden will go on to play the main villain Ikaris in Eternals The chemistry between him and George McKay is fabulous.

But the best thing about the entire movie in the directing by Sam Mendes is magnificent because why I love about his director that he did a still a job of showing the real life story of these two soldiers name Lance Corporal Schofield and Lance Corporal Blake who had to deliver a message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake do you have him and the conflict against the US and Germany which I think he did a Stellar job of telling this really dark but really perfect storyline of two soldiers trying to deliver a message to end the war because the US was fighting against Nazi Germany and tried to end the conflict and put a stop to all the death and destruction that was happening. So I think he does terrific job with that But something else I really enjoyed that Shawn Mendes did a glorious job of filming this movie By making it feel like he did in one long tank even know it took him multiple takes to film the film but that's how amazing the cinematography is in this film and I think he did a Stellar job of directing this film.

So in conclusion this is still my favorite War film of all time because I love the story having it revolver on these two soldiers that have to deliver a message to Lieutenant Joseph Blake it was so they can try to and the war against the US and Germany and I think that was a brilliant concept in the film executes it really well and actually gets everything right because all this happened in real life because the US was in war with Nazi Germany. I think the storyline is up there with the storyline in the King with Robert Pattinson as one of the best storylines of 2019. Also the performances were incredible especially from George McKay who plays Lance Corporal Schofield in the film he gave the one the month emotional and one of the most captivating performance in the film. Also Dean- Charl Chapman who plays Lance Corporal Blake In the film he also gave a really powerful and emotional performance in the film. Even Richard Madden who you only see at the end of the film he also gave a really fun and really terrific performance as the character Lieutenant Joseph Blake. But the thing I really love is the Cinematography because it really feels like you're actually in the movie shredding through the mud with the soldiers and going on this epic tragic and emotional Journey with them I think it is the strongest thing in this film. Also I think this film is up there with Warfare from 2025 with Joseph Quinn as one of my favorite War films of all time. I also think that this film is up there with Jokers one of my favorite films of 2019. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you enjoy other amazing and really emotional War films like Hacksaw Ridge with Andrew Garfield. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
