Here in My Movie Review Causeway

Here in My Movie Review Causeway

So basically  what happens is that you have this woman named Lynsey who is a US soldier who has suffered a severe brain injury. Well she was in Afghanistan. So she has to be taken care of by her caretaker Sharon. Then she meets this guy named James Aucoin Hershey starts to fall in love with. But then she wants to go back into the army. But her doctor Tells her not to, so she has to do everything in her power to keep her brain stable and that is basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is terrific. I still think everyone does an amazing job as their characters.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Jennifer Lawrence as Lynsey. What makes Lynsey such a sympathetic character Is that you really feel bad for because she has to suffer through the brain injury that she received while she was In the army and you really want her to be cured of it. Probably the best moment with Lynsey is when she First meets James Aucoin and tells him that she needs her car fixed and not only was it really interesting but it may send because her car broke down in the middle of the road as he needed help to fix it  probably the most emotional moment in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Brian Tyler Henry, Steven McKinley Henderson, and Jayne Houdyshell Is still really marvelous.

Brian Tyler Henry plays Lynsey’s boyfriend James Aucoin. I have to say he still does a fantastic job as the character.  What makes James Aucoin Incredible character that you can see here really loves and cares about Lynsey. Probably the best moment with James Aucoin is when he and Lynsey are talking to each other and she asked him what happened to his wife and son and he explained that she died and not only was it really heartbreaking but it made sense because he lost the love of his life.  It is probably the most heartbreaking scene in the entire film. Also the romance between the two characters is still really magnificent. The chemistry between Him and Jennifer Lawrence is still really outstanding.

Jayne Houdyshell plays Lynsey’s caretaker Sharon in the film. I have to say even though she's not in the movie a whole lot but for what she actually has she still does a great job as the character. What makes Sharon such Awesome character is that she really cares about Lynsey. Probably the best moment with Sharon is when she checks on Lynsey and tells her to breathe and not only was it really shocking but it made sense because she was going through a panic attack. It is probably the most suspenseful scene in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Jennifer Lawrence is still excellent.

Steven McKinley Henderson plays Lynsey’s Doctor  Dr Lucas. In the film. I have to say he still does a great job as the character. What makes Doctor Luca as such a fantastic character is that he really wants Lynsey to be cured of her brain injury. Probably the best scene with Dr Lucas Is when he tells Lynsey That she can't go back into the army because  he doesn't want her to suffer another brain injury. Not only was it really strong and compelling But it was made because he didn't want her to get hurt in the army again. It is probably the most tragic moment in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jennifer Lawrence is still outstanding.

Now for this being Lila Neugebauer’s Very first movie that she actually directed Is very remarkable. What I like about  directing and she does a really Astoria job of tackling the subject of being in the army and getting injured really badly and what is really sad is that there are people in the army that suffer really bad injuries. I also like how to turn the subject extremely seriously Because you can't make jokes about that subject matter and you have to deal with it very seriously and very strongly. I think it is really astounding of how she did that. I'm looking forward to what movie she's going to direct next.

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed the film because it does a great job of making Root for Lynsey because you really want her brain injury to be cured. I still think this is up there with After Yang as one of  the saddest A24 films but I still think it works because of that really because much like in that You are rooting for the characters. I still think this is probably the most tragic and the most powerful movie of 2022. I still think this is probably the most Powerful and one of the saddest but really effective Apple TV Plus Original Films. I think if you like the movie After Yang with Colin Farrell then you'll probably like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
