Here is My Movie Review of Finch

Here is My Movie Review of Finch

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Finch who is really old and his body is not feeling very well so he decides to build this robot named Jeff so when he dies Jeff can take care of his dog. So he has to do everything as power to try to stay on and that is basically what the story is for this movie.

Now the acting in this movie is still excellent but much like what I said in my review of the Lighthouse this movie really only stars two actors and both actors do a great job with their performances.

However the absolute standout of the entire film is Tom Hanks as Finch. What makes Finch such an excellent character is that you really feel bad for him because he is going to the point of almost dying because he is very sick and he wants to train Jeff to take care of him. Probably my favorite moment with Finch is where he is teaching Jeff how to walk and not only was it really emotional but it made sense because he invented  Jeff and he had taught him a lot of things. It is probably the strongest moment in the entire film. This is probably Tom Hanks's best performance he had ever done. The chemistry between him and Cable Landry Jones  Is still awesome.

Cable Landry Jones Voices Jeff in the film. I have to say he still does a terrific job as the character. What makes Jeff such an emotional character is that all he wants to do is to take care of Finch during his final moments of his life. Probably the best moment with Jeff is where Finch teaches him how to drive. Not only is it a really sweet scene but it makes sense because he wanted to learn how to drive. The chemistry between him and Tom Hanks is still fantastic.

The directing by Miguel Sapochnik Is awesome because what I like about his directing is that he does a remarkable job of tackling the subject of getting old because when you get old your body doesn't work the way it did when you were younger. Also sometimes if you don't treat your body really well you can become really sick and you can hardly breathe. I think it is really astounding how he tackled the subject really seriously.

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this movie. I like the relationship between Finch and Jeff and I still think it is the strongest aspect of the film. This is probably the most emotional film of 2021. I also think this is up there with Cherry with Tom Holland as one the most underrated films of 2021. I think more people should watch this movie especially if you like films that deal with serious topics like Raymond and Ray which stars both Ethan Hawke and Ewan McGregor. I still think this is Up there with Swansong with Awkwafina as one the most emotional Apple TV Plus Film. I give this movie a 10/10.
