Here is My Movie Review of Speed

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named  Jack Traven Who is a police officer and one day he gets the call from Howard Payne and tells him that he planted a bomb under the bus and it will explode if the bus goes below 50 mph. So Jack Traven Designs too give chase to the bus and try to prevent the bus from exploding. Then he meets this girl named Annie Porter and tells her that there is a bomb on the bus so it's up to them to prevent the bomb from exploding and take down Howard Payne. That is basically what the story is for this movie. 

The acting in this movie is terrific. I still think everyone gives it their all. 

However the absolute big standout is Keanu Reeves as Jack Traven. What makes Jack Traven Such an excellent character is that he Wants to prevent the bomb from  exploding the bus and killing all the people. Probably the best moment with Jack Treven Is that the beginning of the movie where he is chasing after the bus and tries to get on it to tell everyone that there is a bomb under the bus. It is probably one the best action sequences in the film. This is still my favorite Keanu Reeves performance ever. Fun fact actors like Kevin Bacon, Alec Baldwin, Stephen Baldwin, William Baldwin, Michael Biehn, Jim Carrey, Jeff Bridges, Mel Gibson, Dennis Quaid, Johnny Depp, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Patrick Swayze, John Travolta, Michael Keaton, Viggo Mortensen, Bruce Campbell, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Tom Selleck, Dolph Lundgren, Richard Dreyfuss, Christopher Lambert, Mickey Rourke, Brad Pitt, Michael Douglas, Clint Eastwood, John Claude Van Damme, Woody Harrelson, Wesley Snipes, Kurt Russell, Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, Nicolas Cage,  Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Chuck Norris were all considered to play Jack Traven. The chemistry between him and Sandra Bullock, Jeff Dennis, Joe Morton, and Dennis Hopper Is still excellent. 

Sandra Bullock plays Annie Porter. I have to say she still does an outstanding job as the character. What makes Annie Porter Such an amazing character that she wants to help Jack Traven Disarm the bomb from the bus to prevent it from exploding and killing everyone. Probably the best moment with Annie Porter Is when she finds out that Jack Treven is under the bus  trying to disarm the bomb and she wants to know if he's okay so she tells the other passengers to look under the bus. It is probably the most suspenseful scene in the entire film. Fun Fact actresses like Rosanna Arquette, Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenn Close, Meg Ryan, Joan Cusack, Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Emma Thompson, Sigourney Weaver, Lea Thompson, Daryl Hannah, Diane Lane, Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, Kathleen Turner, Halle Berry, Ally Sheedy, Debra Winger, Brooke Shields, Jennifer Tilly, Demi Moore, Jodie Foster, Mariska Hargitay, Anjelica Huston, Melanie Griffith, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Genna Davis, Marisa Tomei, Winona Ryder, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carrie Fisher, Bridget Fonda, Kay Lenz, Madonna, Heather Locklear, Tatum O´Neal, and Michelle Pfeiffer were All considered to play Annie Porter. The chemistry between her and Keanu Reeves is still amazing. 

Jeff Dennis plays  Jack Traven's best friend Harry Temple. I have to say he still does a Spectacular job as the character. What makes Harry Temple Is that he really wants to help Jack Traven Disarm the bomb on the bus. Probably the best moment with Harry Temple  Is that the very beginning of the film where he and Jack Traven are saving all these people that are stuck in the elevator is part of the most intense opening sequence in the film. The chemistry between him and Keanu Reeves is still astonishing. 

Joe Morton plays Herb Mac McMahon. I have to say he still does a terrific job as the character. What makes Herb Mac McMahon such an entertaining character that much like the rest of the character he also wants to help Jack Treven disarm on the bomb under the bus. The best moment with Herb Mac McMahon And when he is trying to get some of the passengers off the bus to Save them before the bus explodes.  It is probably the most intense part of the movie. The chemistry between him and Keanu Reeves is amazing. 

Dennis Hopper plays Howard Payne. I have to say he still does a tremendous job as the character. What makes Howard Pain such an awesome villain is that right from the start you hate this guy because of all the horrible things he has done and do you really want him to die and that's what makes it so interesting he is the villain you love to hate. Probably the darkest moment is where he calls Jack Traven on the phone explaining that he killed his best friend Harry Temple. It is probably the darkest moment in the entire film. The rivalry between him and Jack Traven is still really entertaining. Fun fact actors like Jack Nicholson and Robert De Niro were both considered to play Howard Payne. The chemistry between him and Keanu Reeves is still remarkable. 

The directing by Jan De Bont Is really interesting because of the way I like about having to direct it and that he takes this simple concept of driving a bus and somehow makes it really intense. It works really well. I still think it is really fantastic how he did that.

So in conclusion I still really enjoy this movie. I still think this is my favorite Keanu Reeves movie. It is still one of my favorite films of all time. If you enjoy this movie then you might like Ambulance Jake Gyllenhaal. I give this movie a 10/10.
