Here is My Movie Review of Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters

So basically what happens is that it tells the story of Hansel and Gretel and they go into a house made candy. But then they find out that the house belongs to a witch so they killed the witch by stuffing her in the oven. Then 15 years later they are both grown up and they have become bounty hunters who go around killing witches. Then one day they find out that all the kids were kidnapped by this named Muriel who plans to kill and eat the children during the blood moon. So it is up to Hansel and Gretel to kill Muriel and save the children and that is basically what the story is for this movie. 

    Now a lot of people say that the acting in this movie is really bad. But I disagree with that statement because I still think the acting is awesome. I still think the actors are having a lot of fun as their characters. I still think the worst acting that I have seen in a movie is Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice because in that movie almost nobody gave a good performance. Well the acting in this movie isn't as bad as that one. 

Jeremy Renner plays Hansel in this movie. I have to say he still does a terrific job as the character. What makes Hansel such an amazing character is that he basically wants to find the children and kill Muriel. I also like how in this movie Hansel doesn't want to talk about what happened to his mother and dad because he doesn't want to relive that trauma and I have to say the movie does it extremely well. Probably my favorite scene with Hansel is when  he and his sister Gretel are chasing after one of Muriel´s helpers. It is probably the most Intense moment in the film. The chemistry between him and Thomas Mann, Pihla Viitala, Gemma Arterton, Robin Atkin Downes, and Famke Janssen Is still amazing. 

Gemma Arterton plays Greta in the film. I have to say she still does a remarkable job as the character. What makes Greta such a stand out character Is that much like her brother she wants to Find the kidnapped children and kill Muriel. Probably my favorite moment with Gretel is when she meets Edward and it is the most heartwarming scene in the film. That chemistry between her and Jeremy Renner is still terrific.

 Pihla Viitala plays Mina In the film. I have to say she still does an excellent job as the character. What makes Mina such a Fantastic character is that she really wants to help Hansel and Gretel rescue the kidnapped children and kill Murtiel. Probably the darkest Moment is where Murtiel kills Mina and you can see how sad Hansel is because he really loved her. It is probably one of the darkest moments in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Jeremy Renner is still brilliant. 

Thomas Mann plays Ben Walser in the film. I have to say he still does an incredible job as the character.  What makes Ben Walser such an entertaining character is that he Wants to help Hansel and Gretel rescue the kidnapped children and kill Murtiel. Probably the best moment with Ben Walser is when he first meets Hansel and Gretel and explains how much of a fan of them he is of them and Hansel is kind of annoyed because he is very busy. Not only was it funny but it made sense because Hansel wanted to find out where the kidnapped children were. It is probably the funniest moment in the film. 

 Robin Atkin Downes voices  Edward. I have to say he still does a really Excellent job voicing the character. What makes Edward such an awesome character and that he wants to help handle and ghetto find the kidnapped children and kill Muriel. My favorite moment with Edward is where he saves Griddle from  the police and takes her to a place so he can heal her injuries. It is probably the most emotional scene in the film. The chemistry between him and Gemma Arterton Is still spectacular. 

However the absolute standout of the entire film is Famke Janssen as Muriel. What makes Muriel Search a dark and scary villain is her motivation that she wants to kidnap all the children and kill them and eat them during the night of the blood moon. Probably My favorite moment with  Muriel where she tells Hansel and Gretel What really happened to their parents because she explains to them that their mother was burned and their father was hanged to death. Is it probably the darkest moment in the entire film.  Also Muriel Is really fun to hate because you really want Her to die and she does Handsome and Gretel beats her to death with a shovel and chomp her head off. The rivalry between her and Hansel and Gretel is still really marvelous The chemistry between her and Jeremy Renner is still tremendous.

The directing by Tommy Wirkola Is really interesting because what I like about his directing is that he took the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel and made it darker and more disturbing. I also like how he gave Hansel and Gretel character development like how The film explained what happened to their parents. I still think it is really terrific how he did that. 

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this movie. I still think this is probably the most underrated movie of 2013. To be honest I don't think this movie is as bad as a lot of people making out to be I still think films like Batman versus Superman or Suicide Squad are more unwatchable than this movie. Also I still think this is Jeremy Renner´s most underrated movie. I still think more people should give this movie a chance before they call it a really unwatchable mess of a film. I give this movie a 10/10.
