Here is My Movie Review of Gambit
So basically what happens is that you have Gambit And he is invited to play a high-stakes game of cards. But it turns out it was all the traps, so this guy named Nicky Lonero can kill him and it's up to Gambit Nicky Lonero to save Rogue. That is basically what the story is for this movie.
The acting in this movie is still great.
Nick Bateman absolutely nailed it as Gambit. What makes Gambit such a great character is Not only is he really smart but he's also really sympathetic because he wants to hide his mutant powers and rescue Rogue. I have to say this Gambit is way better than the Gambit in X-Men Origins Wolverine because in that movie Gambit had a southern accent which made him sound like a cowboy. Well in this movie he has a Chajun accent which is really accurate to the cartoons and the comic books. Also his costume is really accurate to the comics. The chemistry between him and Ellen Hollman is still really great.
Ellen Hollman absolutely nailed it as Rogue. What makes rocks such a great character is that She is not only smart but also really sympathetic because all she wants is to be rescued. I have to say this rogue is better than the rogue in the original X-Men trilogy Because in those movies she sounded like a kid. Well in this movie she really sounds like how she does in the comics and the cartoons with the southern accent. Also her costume is really accurate to the comic books and the cartoons. The chemistry with Nick Bateman is still really great.
Eric Roberts absolutely nailed that as the character of Nicky Lonero. What makes Nicky Lonero such a great villain is that you just loved to hate this guy Because he wants to kill Rogue and Gambit just because they're mutants. You just want to see this guy die and he does his car Koreans off of a bridge. The rivalry between him, Gambit and Rogue is still great.
The directing by Jensen Noen. What I like about his directing is that he pretty much got everything from the comics right. I still take the movie does a great job addressing racism and discrimination.
So in conclusion I still think This is a great X-Men movie. I think more people need to Watch it. If you enjoyed movies like X2 X-Men United I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
Wow! This is a fan film? This had Eric Roberts and the production was of high standard! Great job with the characterizations of Gambit and Rogue! They were way more accurate than the Hollywood movie versions!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked the movie Gambit Lou. I feel like the fans do a better job at adapting the X-Men characters more than Hollywood because I feel like they have read the comics and have seen the cartoons because Hollywood wants to detract from the comics.
