Here is my movie review of First Cow 

So basically what happens is that you have these two travelers named Cookie Fedowitz Who is this chef that nobody really takes seriously people don't really like his cooking Then he meets this guy named King Lee and they start to become friends and he tells Cookie that if he wants to make his cooking taste delicious He has to steal a prized milking cow in order to make that happen So they decide to steal the prize milk and cow in order to make cookies food taste better and that is basically the story of this movie.

The acting in this movie Is tremendous because all the actors still do a terrific job with their performances. I think this movie is up there with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is one of the best acted films of the 2020s.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is John Magaro as Cookie Figowitz. What makes Cookie Figowitz Such a spectacular character that you really feel sorry for him because he wants to prove that he is perfect cook but nobody likes his cooking nobody takes him seriously at all. So in order to improve His cooking he decided to enlist the help of King Lu so they can use a wealthy land own ´ s Prize milking cow to enlist more customers so he can make his cooking even better. Probably the best moment with Cookie Figowitz is when he He is walking through the forest picking flowers so he can bring it back to his team so they can cook something and not only is it a really great opening scene but it made sense because he needs to help his team find something to eat in the fourth and just the beautiful music that plays in the background really shows how immersive and wonderful this moment is as part of the most powerful and beautiful moment in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Orion Lee, Toby Jones, Is still excellent.

Orion Lee plays Cookie´s friend King Lu In the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as the character. What makes King Louie such a wonderful character that he really wants to help his friend Cookie Figowitz Improve his cooking by using a wealthy landowner's prize milking cow to make the plan work so people can like Cookie Figowitz´s cooking. Probably the best moment with King Lu is where It's going fishing in the river and not only isn't a beautiful and incredible moment but it made sense because he was starving and he needs something to eat and it is probably the most Moment because even though there's no music playing during that scene you can still see that King Lu is really hungry. The chemistry between him and Orion Lee Is still wonderful.

Toby Jones plays Chef Factor In the film. I have to say he still does a remarkable job as the character. Now the character of Chef Factor is a very interesting character because he wants to help Cookie Figowitz Improve his cooking. Probably the best moment was Chef Factor is where he first meets Cookie Figowitz and King Lu and they discuss the idea of how to steal the cow that they can use its milk to help Cookie Figowitz Improve on his cooking. It is probably the strongest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Orion Lee is spectacular. Fun fact one year later after the film came out Toby Jones repriced his role as Arnim Zola for Marvel´s What If...?

The directing by Kelly Reichardt Is terrific because why I like about her directing that she know they fantastic job of Discussing the subject of what it was like to live in the 1800s because there weren't many options to make money so people had to find ways to make money on their own and I think the film handled the experience well I like how to take the subject very seriously. But also like how she makes you care about the character of Cookie Figowitz Because this is a character who is down on his luck He doesn't get treated seriously all people don't like his cooking and he wants to make it better So people can respect them more and I think it is really excellent of how she did that.

So in conclusion i still really enjoy the film the storyline is very awesome because it revolves around the characters Cookie Figowitz King Lu who want to help each other solve their problems by using the wealthy landowners prize milk and kill to make money and improve help Cookie Figowitz ´s cooking and make it better. I still think this is one of the most beautiful and one of the most underrated films of 2020. I think this movie is still up there with The Humans as one of the most underrated films of the 2020s I think this is still up there with ex Machina Oscar Isaac as one of my favorite A24 films. I think more people should watch this film especially if you like The Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe. I give this movie a 10/10.
