Here is My Movie Review of Surf's Up

 

Here is my movie review of Surf's Up. 

So basically what happens is that you have this penguin named Cody Maverick and he wants to become a really great surfer  So he decides to find Big Z so he can train him how to surf. Then you have the other penguin named Tank Evans and he wants to challenge Cody Maverick to a surfing contest. So it is up to Cody Maverick  to beat Tank Evans and win the contest. That is basically what the story is for this movie. 

The voice acting in this movie is still great. 

Shia LaBeouf as Cody Maverick. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really funny and really sympathetic because He wants to meet his idol Big Z and  become a really great surfer.  The chemistry between him and Jeff Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, Jon Heder, James Woods, and Diedrich Bader is still really great.

Jeff Bridges as Geek/Big Z. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really funny and really sympathetic because  ever since he was wiped out He promised he would never surf again and you can see how hard it affects them. The chemistry between him and Shia LaBeouf is still really great.  

Zooey Deschanel as Lani Aliikai. I still think she does a great job as this character. I still think she is really smart and really nice. The chemistry between her and Shia LaBeouf is still great. 

Jon Heder as Chicken Joe. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really smart and really funny. The chemistry between him and Shia LaBeouf is still great. 

James Woods as Reggie Belafonte. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really smart and really funny. The chemistry between him and Shia LaBeouf is still great. 

Diedrich Bader as Tank Evans. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really funny and really smart. He really reminds me of Peter Quill / Star-Lord from the Marvel Cinematic Universe because they both like to be the center of attention. The rivalry between him and Cody Maverick is still great. Fun fact actors like John Malkovich, Alan Tudyk, Gary Cole, Jeff Daniels, Robin Williams, John Leguizamo, Sean Bean, John Goodman, James Spader, Nathan Lane, Jack Black, Christopher Lloyd, John Cleese, Kenneth Branagh, Harry Shearer, Patton Oswalt, Jason Lee, Justin Long, Benjamin Bratt, Alfred Molina, Liam Neeson, Alec Baldwin, Tommy Lee Jones, Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett, Bill Hader, Gary Oldman, Will Ferrell, Hugo Weaving, Danny DeVito, Kurt Russell, Eddie Izzard, and Kelsey Grammer were all considered to voice Tank Evans.

The directing by Ash Brannon and Chris Buck. What I like about their directing is that they do a phenomenal job of parenting the film chasing Mavericks and making the film documentary but with talking penguins. I still think it is really cool how they did that.

So in conclusion I still really enjoy the film. I still think the storyline is really interesting I still think the characters are still entertaining. Tank Evans is still a really funny villain. I still think more people should watch this movie especially if you like the film Chasing Mavericks. I give this movie a 10/10.
