Here is My Movie Review of The Batman

Here  is my movie review of the Batman

So basically what happens is that you have The Riddler who lives a trail of clues for the corruption of Gotham and it is up to Bruce Wayne / Batman to solve the mystery of who the killer is and take down the Riddler. That is basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is tremendous Because I still think this is one of the best acting performances and 2022 you can tell all the after that I'm having fun in their roles.

Robert Pattinson does a terrific job as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I still think this is the best Batman we have ever had. What makes Bruce Wayne/Batman a phenomenal character is  he is confused because he wants to kill or does he want to spare the lives of criminals. I still think they did a really great job of doing that. I also like how in this movie they make Batman a detective like in The Arkham games. Also I like how he did his own Batman voice because he didn't need to go over the top like Ben Affleck or go gravel  like Christian Bale. The chemistry between him and Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, John Turturro, Andy Serkis, and Paul Dano is really great.

Zoe Kravitz does a amazing job as Selena Kyle. I think this is the best version of Selena Kyle in live action. What makes Selena Kyle a really interesting character is that she is not really a villain, she is more of an antihero. My favorite part of the movie is when she and Batman are chasing after The Penguin It is probably the second best action scene in the movie. I think Selena Kyle is better than Selena Kyle from Batman Returns and Batman the Dark Knight Rises. The chemistry between her and Robert Pattinson is outstanding. Fun fact actresses like Eiza Gonzalez, Ana De Armas, Hannah John Kamen, Natalie Emmanuel, Alicia Vikander, Ella Balinska, and Zazie Beetz were all considered play Selena Kyle.

Andy Serkis does a astounding job as Alfred. What makes Alfred a phenomenal character is that He wants Batman to do the right thing but he also doesn't want him to go down a dark path. I think it was really cool how they did that. My favorite scene is when Bruce Wayne is talking to Alfred In the hospital and Bruce Wayne tells him that he lied to him. It is probably the saddest scene in this movie. The chemistry between him and Robert Pattinson is phenomenal

Jeffrey Wright does a remarkable job as Lieutenant James Gordon. What makes commissioner James Gordona phenomenal character is that He wants to help Batman  find the killer but he also wants to protect the city from being corrupted. I think it is really cool how they did that. The chemistry between him and Robert Pattinson is phenomenal.

Colin Farrell plays Oz/The Penguin In the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as the character. Now Oz/The Penguin doesn't have a big role in the film but for what he does have he is still really entertaining Now Oz/the Penguin is Is a lot more accurate to the comics because he is basically a gangster who wants to kill Carmine Falcone so he can be the leader of the Gotham criminal underworld But that fail so he decides to rise to power by making his own criminal empire. Find the best moment with OZ/The Penguin Is where he is chasing Batman along the road and he kills someone and he said I got you. Not only is it a really great use of dark humor but makes sense because The Pangolin is a ruthless psychopath It is probably the most intense moment of the film.

John Turturro does a phenomenal job as Carmine Falcone. What makes Carmine Falcone a really great villain Is that he is really intimidating and really smart. I think this Carmine Falcone is better than the Carmine Falcone from Batman Begins because he has a lot more to do than he did in that movie. The rivalry between him and Bruce Wayne / Batman is phenomenal.

However the absolute standout of the entire film is Paul Dano as Edward Nigma / the Riddler. What makes Edward Nigma /The Riddler a awesome villain is that he is downright terrifying and scary because when he wears his mask When he has talking to you everyone on his phone explaining his plan and his motivation actually makes sense because when he or the kid he was in an orphanage just like Bruce Wayne and they didn't have enough money in most of the babies in that orphanage would die during the cold. Because the orphanage near my butt all the other seasons and Gotham got hold of the money and filled their pockets with it and used it for selfish reasons So Riddler decides to kill people in high corruptions of power to get what he wants and Batman who beats up criminals. The Riddler is not afraid to go one step further and kill them. I still think this is what the Riddler from Batman Forever should have been like actually intimidating instead of goofy. I think this is the best Batman villain performance. Probably my all time favorite part in this movie is Riddler's mental breakdown in the interrogation room with Batman because he thought he and Batman were a team but it turned out that they were not. Also his backstory is very interesting because when Edward Nashton was a kid the only thing that made him happy with playing a game of riddles Because you lived a really bad orphanage where most of the babies died and they had a lot of rodent problems and they didn't have enough money to fix it up. I still think the Riddler is more terrifying than Kilgrave/Purple Man from Jessica Jones because at least with Kilgrave/ Purple Man he at least made some funny jokes. But The Riddler is way more scary and more horrifying than Kilgrave/purple man was from Jessica Jones. I think this is the best Riddler we ever had since Batman the animated series. The Riddler design in this movie is probably the best Batman movie villain design of all time. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the future. The rivalry between him and Birce Wayne/Batman is tremendous I think it is the best rivalry in any Batman movie. Also if you think about it, The Riddler actually won in the end because he outsmarted Batman and proved himself to be the smartest person in the world.  The chemistry between him and Robert Pattinson is phenomenal. I like how the Riddler inserts some social commentary in this movie because he basically kills a lot of people to get attention from people on the internet. probably the most shocking thing about this is that there are people out there in the real world who actually do this they kill a lot of people to get attention and get a lot of fame. I think the film does a phenomenal job inserting social commentary in the film. Fun fact actors like, Michael Jackson, Jonah Hill, Rob Schneider, Adam Sandler, Phil Hartman, Matthew Broderick, Steve Martin, Brad Dourif, John Malkovich, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Segel, Kelsey Grammer, Mark Hamill, Barry Keoghan, Johnny Depp, David Tennant, and Robin Williams were all considered to play the Riddler. Fun fact the Riddler in this movie is based off of the real life Zodiac Killer.

The directing by Matt Reeves. I still think he does a phenomenal job directing this movie. What I like about his director that he basically made Batman more accurate to the comics than he has ever been Pacifically making him a detective because in the other Batman movies he wasn't much of a detective but this movie basically makes it just like the Arkham games. I still think it is really cool how he did that.  Fun fact directors like Denis Villeneuve, George Miller, Ridley Scott, Matt Ross, and Fede Alvarez were all considered to direct this movie.

So in conclusion this still one of the best Batman movies ever made. I like how the story is a neo-noir detective thriller film. Probably the best moment in the film is where Batman and the Red Door are in Arkham Asylum together and they aren't talking to each other in the real world of absolutely insane stating that they were supposed to be a team but that was never Supposed to have any other than this long but really awesome mental breakdown and it's probably one of the darkest scenes in a movie of 2022. Also Robert Pattinson is one of the best Batman we have ever received in live-action i cannot wait to see him more as this new trilogy goes on. Also Edward Nashton/The Riddler is one of the best villains of 2022 Paul Dano just nailed it in the role and you can tell that he is having fun as the character. I still think if you like spider-Man no way home with Willem Dafoe you will definitely like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.

  1. Best Batman movie ever. I agree wholeheartedly with your review. The Riddler was definitely a highlight. However, every cast member was a stand out! Can't wait for the sequel.

    1. I agree with you Lou best Batman movie ever made. I also agree with you that the Riddler is the best live-action Batman villain ever, I'm looking forward to the sequel. Also Colin Farrell redeemed himself from Bullseye from Daredevil by playing the Penguin.
