Here is My Movie Review of The Adam Project

 

Here is my movie review of the Adam Project 

So basically what happens is that you have Adam and he is flying in outer space but then his spaceship crashes to Earth. Then he meets his 12-year-old self and together they must team up to stop time travel from being invented and save the future. That is basically what the story is for this movie. 

The acting in this movie is still great. Except for one performance.

Ryan Reynolds plays Adam In the film. I have to say he still does a terrific job as the character. Now the character of Adam is tremendous because you really feel bad for him because his wife died you want to get back to his own time so he could be reunite with her before she dies and he wants his younger self to help him say the world. the scene where Adam meets have younger self is and tell them that the weapon he has in his backpack is not a light saver not only was it really funny but it makes sense because he didn't know why he was in his house. it is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Walker Scobell, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana is still great. 

Now for this being Walker Scobell ´ s very first film he did. I have to say he still does a fantastic job as  Young Adam. Now the character of young Adam is terrific because you understand why he is coming from his still trying to deal with the lost of his dad and he's worried about his mother getting remarried and has to help his old herself to stop time traveling from possible from happening. The scene here Young Adam is he tried to say something raunchy and his older s cut them off and not only was it really funny but the film is kind of self-aware that's PG-13 and having the character say something raunchy will be not family friendly. It is probably the funniest running joke of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana is still really fantastic

Zoe Saldana plays Laura In the film I have to say she still does a remarkable job as the character. Now the character of Laura is incredible because unlike Captain Marvel who doesn't really go through a emotions this character does go through emotions you know she's surprised that Adam came back to see her she is also shocked to see his younger self with him And she wants to help them save the world by preventing time travel from being invented. The scene where she says goodbye to Adam is one more powerful and one more Saturn moments of the entire film because she is sad that she won't get to see him ever again and it's one or one of the more dramatic moments of the entire film. The relationship between her and Adam is the strongest aspect of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Ryan Reynolds, and Walker Scobell is still really astounding.

Mark Ruffalo plays Luis Reed In the film. I have to say out of all the performances he is actually my favorite one in the entire film because they give such a raw and heartwarming performance as the character. Now the character of Luis Reed is probably my favorite character of the entire film because He is the heart and soul on the entire film Because he really cares for his son Adam and wants to help him saying the world by preventing time travel from being invented. The scene where Luis Reed is reunite with his son it's one of the most powerful in Captain moments of In the film because he is surprised to see that his son is meeting him all over again because he tragically died and that is why Adam wasn't really happy. It is probably one of the most powerful and beautiful moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell is still marvelous.

Alex Mallari Jr. plays Christos In the film. I have to say he still does a great job as the character. Now the character of Christos Is rather bland but that being said I think he was a slightly better villain than Maya Sorian was because he had more of an onscreen presence than she did and I wish he would the main villain of the film instead of her The rivalry between him and Adam, young Adam, Louis Reed, and Laur is still really great.

Now the only performance that I did not care about was Catherine Keener as Maya Sorian To be honest her performance had moments of goodness in But just really dull performance. Now the character of Maya Sorian Is really Ridiculous to take seriously at the villain her motivation is cliche and really predictable she won't just want to take over the world and kill Adam and they don't give a reason of why she wants to she just wants to. The only good thing or the only memorable thing about her is where she died and when she died I was happy because I cannot stand her as a villain. I still think she's off there with Taskmaster from Black Widow as one of the worst villains of the 2020s. The chemistry between her and Walker Scobell and Ryan Reynolds is still great.

However the best thing about this entire film is the directing by Shawn Levy because what I love about his directing and glorious job of of giving Adam Reed so much how am I should because he is a character that is going through a lot because his father died and he really misses him and he has to team up with his older sub too prevent time travel from happening and save the world and he has to go back in time to see his father and recruit him to help them send the universe though everything can go back to normal in older to fix his order self´s timeline. i also like how he folks is more on the emotional stuff rather than the comedy because there are jokes in the film but it mainly focus on more on the emotional stuff because Adam goes through a big character arc. i think he did a terrific job directing this film.

So in conclusion i still really enjoy this film because the storyline revolved around Adam meaning his older self and teaming up with him to save the world and be reunited with his dad Lewis Reed. It's probably up there with The Menu as one of the best storylines of 2022. Also the relationship between Adam and his younger self is the strongest aspect of this entire film because both Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell play off each other perfectly. Also Mark Ruffalo's performance as Luis Reed is one of my favorite performances of the entire film. I also found a lot of the jokes really funny but the emotional stuff that is the strongest aspect of the entire film. Also both Ryan Reynolds and Zoe Saldana Play off each other perfectly. I think this film is up there with The Batman and won the best movies of 2022. I highly recommend you watch the film especially if you enjoy Love Hurts with Ke Huy Quan then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
