Here is my movie review of Captain America Civil War
So basically what happens it takes place after Ant-Man left off and the Avengers are pitted against each other by the government of the Sokovia Accords and you also have Baron Zemo who Turned Bucky back into the Winter Soldier It is up to Captain America to take down Iron Man and Zemo. That is basically what the story is for this movie.
I think out of all the Captain America films this one probably has the best acting out of the three because this one had the biggest cast out all of them.
Robert Downey Jr plays Tony Stark/ Iron Man In the film. I have to say he still does a tremendous job as the character. Now Tony Stark / iron Man is unlikable in this film but you do understand why because he still has PTSD from the events of the Avengers and the whole Ultron controversy which caused the destruction of Sokovia So you can completely understand why he'll turn against Steve Rogers / Captain America. The scene where Tony Stark / iron Man sees the video of the Winter Soldier brutally killing his parents is not only really dark but you can understand how angry he was at Steve Rogers / Captain America because he never told him that the Winter Soldier was responsible for the death of his parents so when they try to kill each other you can understand why They would do that.It is probably the most shocking moment of phase 3 of the MCU.
However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/ Captain America Because he probably gives his best performance as the character in the trilogy. Now Steve Rogers / Captain America actually go through a pretty big Arc in the film because he is with the government saying that they should follow the rules of the Accords but Tony Stark/ Iron Man doesn't want to follow the rules and want to turn against the government. But Steve Rogers / Captain America wants to prevent his best friend Bucky Barnes from turning into the Winter Soldier. The themes revolving around the two Avengers arguing are probably thrown the strongest character moments in this entire film especially Where they start fighting and Tony Stark / Iron Man tries to kill him. It is probably the best climax in the Captain America trilogy and probably one of the most powerful moments of the entire film.
Sebastian Stan plays Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier In the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as the character. Now Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier Add a character is really tragic in the film because he is trying to get over his PTSD Of him becoming the window soldier and being controlled by Hydra and in this filming at the deal with it again because demo uses that book which activates his dark and evil winter Soldier side of him that he's trying to bury away and not think about. The scene where Zemo reads Bucky Barnes / the Winter Soldier the book is probably the scariest moment of this film because he is triggering Bucky ´ s PTSD and having to be under Hydras control. It is probably the darkest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Chris Evans is astounding.
Chadwick Boseman plays T´Challa/Black Panther In this film. I have to say he still does a tremendous job as the character. Now the character of T´Challa/Black panther is really interesting because you feel bad for him because Zemo killed his father and he wants revenge on him because he is the one responsible for that. The scene where T´Challa/Black Panther And chasing Bucky Barns / The Winter Soldier is it really powerful moment because He is the one responsible for the death of his father it's probably the most shocking moment of phase 3.
Paul Bettany plays Vision In the film. I have to say he still does a Stellar job as the character. Now Vision in this film is actually really interesting as a character because he starts to fall in love with Wanda Maximoff/the Scarlet Witch and that relationship lasts all the way into Wonder Vision. Also he's not really a villain much like the rest of the Avengers they're all being manipulated by Zemo who is pulling the strings. The scene where Vision falls in love with Wanda Maximoff / The Scarlett which is probably the most important moment of the entire film because it foreshadows more of the relationship in the MCU.
Elizabeth Olsen plays Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch In the film. I have to say she still does a spectacular job as the character. Now Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch Is really interesting because in Avengers Aid of Ultron she's started out as a villain but then she later joined the Avengers to help them defeat Ultron and in this movie she also go through a Character ark she is now a member of The Avengers she starts to have feelings towards Vision which she eventually and that's that she loves him and that Go on in Avengers Infinity War. The scene where Wanda Maximoff/ The Scarlet Witch Start to develop feelings towards vision is probably the most powerful moment of the entire film because it foreshadows Events in the MCU. It is probably the most important moment of the entire fountain.
Paul Rudd plays Scott Lang/ Ant-Man In the film. I have to say even though he's not in this film a whole lot he still does a spectacular job as the character. Now Scott Lang as a character is relatively the same as he was in the first Ant-Man film because it's still learning how to use powers and he is still trying to figure out how to be a hero. The scene where Scott Lang/Ant-Man Meets steve Rogers / Captain America for the first time is the funniest scene of the entire film because Scott Lang / Ant-Man is a big fan of him he Oh wait Idolize them and it was a few light-hearted moment there isn't much light-hearted moments in this film but I feel like Scott Lang / Ant-Man does provide some of those lighthearted moments for the film. The chemistry between him and Chris Evans is terrific. Fun fact this was my very first Paul Rudd movie I have ever seen.
Tom Holland plays Peter Parker / Spider-Man In the film. Now much like I said about Paul Rudd even though he doesn't play a big role in the film he still does a terrific job as the character. Now the character of Peter Parker / Spider-Man is relatively the same Because much like Ant-Man he is still trying to figure out his powers trying to learn how to be a hero. The scene where Pier Parker / Spider-Man meets tony Stark/Iron Man is not only really funny but it makes sense because it sets up their Related step in later MCU films. It is probably the most important moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Robert Downey Jr is perfect.
Daniel Bruhl plays Baron Zemo In the film. I have to say out of all the performances he is probably my least favorite of this film because he's not terrible in this movie Because I do think he does a good job with the material he was given but he's just the weakest performance in this entire film. Now the character of Baron Zemo is really interesting because well I don't hate this character i really don't think he's one of the best MCU villains because Well I do think his motivation this film is interesting because he essentially wants to tear the Avengers apart from the inside and he does exceed in that because he blames them for the death of his family do you got to be by his motivation of wanting to tear the Avengers the part. But the problem is he doesn't really do much In the film he's essentially He's kind of like the Mandarin in Iron Man 3 who's pulling the strings And that's all he is there for. The scene where Baron Zemo threatens to kill himself by playing a gun to his neck is really dark because he believes that there's nothing left because his family is dead so he just wants to end it all which is probably the darkest moment of this entire film. But it feels like he is the one of the most underwhelming villains of the MCU. The Rivalry between him and the Avengers is decent but to be honest I think the Rivalry between the Avengers and Thanos worked a lot better because he was a more developed villain than Zemo is in the film.
The directing by Joe and Anthony Russo Is terrific because why I love about their directing And that they give a lot of characters a lot of development because this movie develops more of Captain America and Iron Man relationship. And also gives Ant-Man more character development because he is still learning how to be a hero and still learning how to yes his powers. I don't like how they make the film a lot more darker than Captain America the first Avenger because this film had black panther dealing with the death of his father you have Iron Man and Captain America turning against each other. You have Bucky Barnes Going through some trauma with the Winter Soldier program and Hydra. But at the same time there are a few light hearted moments that they put in the film like Ant-Man meeting Captain America and interacting with him or the scene where Spider-Man and Falcon are talking. How they balanced The tone of this film. I think it is perfect of how they did that.
So in conclusion i still really love this movie because the storyline revolving around the Avengers being fourth to fight against each other does work because Zemo is manipulating them. The relationship between Captain America and iron Man it's probably the strongest aspect of the film because they used to be part of the Avengers but this causes them to split up and turn against each other and it works well for the film's benefit because by making Tony Stark// Iron Man unlikable doesn't make sense because the gang is still has PTSD of the whole battle in New York in the whole Ultron Fiesta that happened in Avenger they'd have Ultron. This is without doubt one of my favorite films in the Captain America Trilogy. Also the Relationship between Wanda and division is the most important thing in the film because it foreshadows a lot of events. Really my only problem with this film is Zemo because he doesn't really do much in the film he had the great motivation and dark and memorable fiends and he does have that iconic line where he says to Captain America when Empire toppled over which means that he succeeded in his plan. Although the Between Captain America and Ant-Man are really funny and even though he's not in the way that much Paul Rudd still does a tremendous job at the character you can tell he is having a lot of fun and this character. This is also easily in my top five favorite films of 2016. I can go on forever to see why I think this is my favorite film in the Captain America Trilogy. But in the end I'll leave you with this best third installment ever. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like Captain America the first Avenger with Hugo Weaving. I give this movie a 60/10.
