Here is My Movie Review of X2 X-Men United

Here is my Movie Review of X2 X-Men United.

So basically what happens is that it takes place after the first X-Men film left off you have Logan/Wolverine Who is with the X-Men but then he starts to have severe PHDSD and flashbacks of him being experimented on by William Stryker who essentially despise his minions he viewed them as abominations he said that they're against God's creation so he decides to use his own son Jason Striker to use cerebro to kill Charles His son can have the psychic abilities of Professor X To find and kill all the mutants it's up to Wolverine and the X-Men and the Brotherhood of evil mutants 2 work together and team up to take down William's Striker and protect all mutants. That is basically what the story is for this film. I have to say the storyline of this movie is probably the best storyline out of any X Men film because this one has higher Stakes and develops more of the characters.

The acting In this film is probably the best acted film out of the entire X-Men film series because This film introduces a lot of new characters and all the all characters get further development in the film. I think this film is up there with Batman Begins as one of the best acted films of the 2000s.

Hugh Jackman plays Logan/Wolverine In this film. I have to say this is probably his best performance at this character out of all the X-Men films because he gives such a raw and Captivating performance as this character. Now the character of Logan/ Wolverine Is even better because in this film he gets to learn more about his past and he has to team up with the rest of the X-Men to take down Colonel Williams Striker who wants to kill all the mutants. The scene where Logan/Wolverine is having flashbacks of him being experimental and in the Weapon X facility is not only really dark and horrifying moment but it makes sense because Logan / Wolverine was traumatized by the whole experience that is why He has via case of PTSD because of what happened to him. It is probably one of the most chilling and haunting moments of the entire film because you can see how much it took a tongue in Logan ´ s menthol and physical state. Also the scene where Logan is fighting Lady Death Strike at the Weapon X facility is probably one of the best action scenes of the entire film.

Patrick Stewart plays  Charles Xavier/ Professor X In the film. I have to say he probably gives his best performance as this character because he gives such a raw and tremendous performance in the film. Now the character of Charles Xavier / Professor X is relatively the same as he was the first film he wants to have humans and mutants Coexist with each other and In this film she has a lot more to do because he and the rest of the X-Men and the Brotherhood of mutants to take down colonel Williams Striker to prevent the death of even more mutants. The scene where Charles Xavier / Professor X finds out that Colonel Williams Striker experimented on his own son you can see the horrified look on Professor X's face and it shows how thick and unstable William Striker is. It is probably the darkest and disturbing moment of the entire film.

Famke Janssen plays Jean Grey In the film. I have to say she does a terrific job as the character and i did that because this movie Jean Gray has more to do in this film So that's why Famke Janssen Gave a better performance than she did in the first film. Now the character of Jean Gray is it actually better than she was in the first film because in the first film she'll did there to be Logan / Wolverine´s love interest and that's it she didn't really do much in that first film. But this one she has more to do because Jean Gray wants to help the rest of the X-Men and the brotherhood of mutants to take down William Striker to prevent all the mutants from killed she also is experiencing problems with her telepathic abilities she trying to keep it under control. The scene where Jean Gray sacrifices herself is probably one of the most shocking it was the most saddest moments of any X-Men film because she had to die to save the team so they won't be stuck on the island and freeze to death. It is probably one of the most heartbreaking moments of the entire film.

Ian McKellen comes plays Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto In this film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as this character now I will say Ian McKellen ´ s performance is better in the first film. But in this film he is still just as fun and entertaining. Now the character of Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto Is really incredible because even though he is still the villain in this film he is more than anti-hero because he has to put his differences aside with the X-Men so they can work together to take down Colonel Williams Striker because even though Magneto hate humans he doesn't like theme mutants being mistreated so that's why he is really protective over them. The scene where Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto wraps the chain around William Striker's neck and says what's up we don't meet again. Not only is it a really chilling moment but It makes sense because Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto Tell that want to see William Stryker torture any more mutants. It is probably one of the most suspenseful moments of the entire film.

Alan Cumming plays Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler In the film. I have to say he still does a glorious job as the character and to be honest out of all the performances he is my favorite in the film. Now the character of Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler Is really accurate to his character in the comics because he is circus performer he gets considered a freak by a lot of people because they think he is a demon They also got his design right because he has the ears and the really long tail And he also goes through a character because he wants to help Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men take down Carnal William Striker and protect all the mutants. The theme where Nightcrawler is attacking the White House in the beginning of the film and one of the best character introduction scenes because the reason why he's attacking the White House is that he's trying to prove a point that mutants need to be accepted by humans instead of them being mistreated and being discriminated Against just because they are different. It is probably one of the best Opening sequences to any X-Men film. Also the interactions between him and Logan/Wolverine do lead to some of the best moments in the entire film. Fun fact actors like Neil Patrick Harris, Joaquin Phoenix, Paul Bettany, Ezra Miller, Asa Butterfield, Charlie Rowe We're all considered to play Nightcrawler.

Shawn Ashmore plays Bobby Drake/Iceman in the film. I have to say he still does a Splendid job as this character and he is probably my second favorite performance of the entire film because he gives such a incredible and really entertaining performance in this film. Now the character of Bobby Drake / Iceman is really accurate to the comics because he is a of the X-Men and he had to come out to his family about being mutant just like in the comics and he wants to help Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men and the Brotherhood to take down William Striker to save all of the mutants so they don't all die. Now Bobby Drake / Iceman has a lot of awesome and really memorable moments one of the moments I really enjoyed was the part where Bobby Drake tells his family that he is a mutant and not only is a really strong moment but it shows that bobby Drake wanted to tell his parents for a long time that he in the mutant but he didn't know how they would react. It is probably one of the heaviest moments in the film.

Rebecca Romijn plays Raven Darkholme/Mystique In the film. I have to say well I liked her in the first X-Men film i think she give the better and more captivating performance in this film because they give her a lot more to do in this film then she did in the first film. Also you can tell that Rebecca Romijn Is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Raven Darkholme/Mystique is Row to me the same as she was in the first film she is Magneto's helper and second in command of the Brotherhood of mutants and in this film she and Magneto and the rest of them have to team up with the X-Men to take down Colonel Williams Striker So the mutant race can be safe. The scene where Raven Darkholme/Mystique Is infiltrating William Striker's base by the Skyline herself as Wolverine is probably one of the best moments of the entire film because even know what she is with Magneto they have to put their differences aside to protect all mutants it is probably one of the best action sequences in the entire film.

Kelly Hu plays Yuriko Oyama/Lady Deathstrike In this film and her performance is really interesting because she doesn't say anything throughout the entire film but I still think that's what makes her performance so chilling and really incredible. Also you can tell that Kelly Hu Is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Lady Deathstrike is really interesting because she is essentially William Striker's bodyguard she does whatever he tells her to do and she wants to help William Striker use cerebral to get in the mind of Charles Xavier and kill all the mutants. The scene where Lady Death Strike introduces herself in the White House with William Stryker it is a really disturbing but really incredible theme because it shows that Lady Death Strike is really loyal to William Striker it will do anything that he says. It is probably one of the best villain introduction scenes in the X-Men films.

However the actor that steals the entire film is Brain Cox as Colonel Williams Striker and his performance is probably one of the best X-Men movie villain performances of all time because he gives such a horrifying and really devilishly entertaining performance. It is probably one of the most underrated villain performances ever in a comic book film it is right up there with Jeff Bridges as Iron Monger in Iron Man at one of the most underrated villain performances. Now Colonel Williams Striker other villain is really accurate to his comic account because this guy is one of the most racist one of the most vile and one of the most disgusting villains in a comic book film because Colonel William Striker view the mutants as abominations he says that they are against God's creation so his motivation is that he wants to use cerebral to get the mind of Charles Xavier and essentially Commit genocide against mutants so none of them will overthrow the human popularity. To be honest Colonel Williams Striker is very similar to The Colonel from War for Planet of the Apes play by Woody Harrelson because that character is very similar because The Colonel views the Apes as the abominations and he wants to kill all of them because they have overthrow humanity and Much like Striker he views the Apes as a thing that are against God's creation essentially so both The Colonel and William Striker have similar ideologies and motivations. The scene where colonel Williams Striker explains to Charles Xavier why he hates mutants it is really dark and really messed up moment but it makes sense because William Striker is essentially a bigot because he again views mutants as abominations and disgusting things that are against God's creation. It is probably one of the most horrifying moments of the entire film. Another thing I like is that Colonel Williams Striker if ever rarely raises his voice he talks at really calm and really Intelligently but there are moments where William Striker raises his voice and when he does it's really scary. Not to mention Colonel Williams Striker is really fun to hate because you really want this asshole to die and when he does it is so satisfying to watch him have a chain wrapped around his neck and die by the flood. Also Colonel Williams Striker is up there with the high evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 as one of vile and one of the most disgusting villains in a comic book film. Also the history between William Stryker and wolverine is the strongest point of the entire film because in the comics they have a really dark and heated rivalry. Also the Rivalry between William Stryker and wolverine is tremendous because it is accurate to the comics because they had a long brutal history with one another. Fun fact actors like Billy Bob Thornton, Michael Biehn, Ed Harris, Liev Schreiber, Thomas Jane, Christopher Lee, Josh Brolin, Liam Neeson, John Hurt, Terrence Stamp, Michael C Hall were all considered to play Colonel William Striker. The chemistry between him and Hugh Jackman is excellent because I think chemistry is the strongest in the entire film.

However the best thing about this movie is the directing  by Bryan Singer Because this is probably the best X-Men film that he ever directed because he gets everything right from the comics like Wolverines origin and his relationship with Colonel Williams Striker. Also the character of Iceman he gets right like how he had to come out to his parents about being mutant It was the strongest moments in the entire film. I also like how he makes this film a lot more darker than the first film because the first film was dark but this one is even darker because This film has higher Stakes like the possibility of the mutant race going extinct due to Colonel William Striker wants annihilate all the mutants. I also like how he gets Nightcrawler accurate to the comics because he is German in the comics his Origins really accurate because he was part of the circus he shut out by other people because they thought he was a demon who was trying to kill them but in reality he just whined some friends. So I think he really got the tragic part down of Nightcrawler perfectly. I do wish he directed x3 X-Men the last stand because that would have made that film a lot better. But other than that I think he did a glorious job directing this film

So in conclusion this is still one of the best X-Men films of all time because the storyline revolving around the X-Men and the Brotherhood of mutants teaming up to take down Colonel Williams Striker and prevent all the mutants from being extinct and I don't know the X-Men movies this one executes its story the best. I also like all the performances especially Alan cumming as Nightcrawler because he gives one of my favorite performances of the entire film and Nightcrawler is my favorite character in the film because it did a terrific job of developing him and the character. I also like Colonel Williams Striker in the villain he is just a hateful but really incredible villain and I would argue that he is one of the best X-Men movie villains we have ever had For an X-Men film because Brain Cox´s terrifying and devilishly fun performance as the character. I also like how the film explores Wolverine´s backstory with Colonel Williams Striker and the weapon X Facility I think it is the strongest aspect of the entire film of having Wolverine have these flashbacks of him being experimented on ads some of the hardest stuff in the entire film but is some of the best stuff For an X-Men film. I also like the action sequences in this film because they are probably some of the best action scenes of any X-Men film weather it is the opening scene of Nightcrawler attacking the White House or the file battle against The X-Men and the Brotherhood against Colonel Williams Striker. Also all the action scenes are amazing and really fun to watch. To be honest I can talk about X2 X-Men United all day but in the end I'll leave you with this best X-Men movie ever. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you are a big fan of the first X-Men film which also Stars Hugh Jackman you will not be disappointed when you want to this film for the first time if you haven't seen it. I give this movie a 10/10.
