Here is My Movie Review of Thor the Dark World

Here is my movie review of Thor the Dark World.

So basically what the plot is then it takes place after the Avengers left off you have Thor and he returns to Asgard to see his dad Odin and he tells Thor  the story about The Ether. Then you have Loki who is locked in the dungeon. Then Thor is reunited with his girlfriend Jane Foster. Then you have this dark elf named Malekith who kills Thor's mother Frigga. It's up to Thor and Loki to team up to take down Malekith and protect the nine realms. That is basically the plot to the movie.

The acting is pretty good except for one performance.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really funny and really sympathetic because all he wants to do is to protect Asgard from the dark elves. new chemistry between him and Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Eccleston, Selling Skarsgard, and Tom Hiddleston is still really great.

Tom Hiddleston as Loki. I still think he does a great job as the character. I like how he's funny. But I also like how serious he is in the movie. I like how he has more to do in this movie than he did in the first movie. the chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still great

Anthony Hopkins as Odin. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really smart and really wise. I like how he has more to do in this movie Than he  did in the first movie.

Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. I still think she does a great job as this character. I still think she is really smart and really wise. The chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still great.

Idris Elba as Heimdall. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really smart and really wise. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still great. But just like what I said in my Thor review Idris Elba has nothing to do he is completely wasted as the character of Heimdall I don't know why Marvel likes to waste famous actors because both Idris Elba and Ben Mendelsohn are really wasted in the Marvel cinematic Universe. I think what they should have done is to cast Idris Elba to do the voice of Galactus in a post credit scene.

Selling Skarsgard as Erik Selvin. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really funny and really smart. My favorite part is when Erik Selvin is on live TV naked holding a gun running  around trying to prove to people that  Asgard is real but everyone else thinks he is  crazy. I still think this is the funniest scene in the movie. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still great.

Jamie Alexandra as Sif. I still think she does a great job as this character. I still think she is really smart and really tough. the chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still great.

Now let's talk about the villain Malkath. Honestly Malkath is the most bland and the most forgettable Marvel villain ever made. Malekith doesn't really have a character because the movie doesn't really develop him as the villain In fact he's probably the most forgettable villain in the entire Thor franchise. What is very disappointing is that he's played by a very awesome actor Christopher Eccleston and he does try with the material he's given For his performance is just rather bland. But I don't blame Christopher Eccleston for this I blame the writing of the film I just feel really sorry for him He's a great actor. Fun he hated playing this character he hated being in the makeup chair. much like Jude Law in Captain Marvel The studio has taken a lot of these great actors and just wastes them as just very bland and boring characters. Some people actually say that Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket from Ant-Man is forgettable I simply disagree with that statement. I still think Malkath is way more forgettable and bland than Darren Cross / Yellow Jacket was entertaining to watch in the movie. I would say that I would rather watch Malkath than the Wrecking Crew from She Hulk because at least Malkath wasn't deemed the worst MCU villain ever made. He is just the most forgettable MCU villain. The Wrecking Crew are the worst in the villains ever made because they're just really goofy and over the top and you can't take them seriously.

The directing by Alan Taylor. Now I have mixed feelings about his directing. Now I would say this The stuff with Thor and Loki is still great It has a lot more focus now than the first film. also the relationship between Thor and Jane Foster is still great. But my problem is that he makes this movie way too dark Now I will say that then isn't as dark as Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice because that film is just depressing and waste with this movie it does have some light hard moments. I kind of wish that he actually directed Thor Ragnarok and made that film more darker because originally it was supposed to be really dark. And they should have had Tailka Waititi Should have directed this one to make it more light-hearted and funny I still think that one made the film much better.

So in conclusion I don't think this is the worst superhero movie ever made. I still think Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice is the worst movie ever made because at least with this movie it does have some great moments and some good action sequences. Other than the dialogue wasn't as cringe warranty as the dialogue in that film. but overall I was really disappointed with this movie it could have been a lot better I give this movie a 6/10.
