Here is My Movie Review of Thor the Dark World

Here is my movie review of Thor the Dark World.

So basically what the plot is then it takes place after the Avengers left off you have Thor and he returns to Asgard to see his dad Odin and he tells Thor  the story about The Ether. Then you have Loki who is locked in the dungeon. Then Thor is reunited with his girlfriend Jane Foster. Then you have this dark elf named Malekith who kills Thor's mother Frigga. It's up to Thor and Loki to team up to take down Malekith and protect the nine realms. That is basically the story for this movie. Now the storyline in this movie is well not bad it's just not that interesting because now in concept this should be interesting storyline Thor and Loki team up to defeat the dark elves but it really is not because it doesn't really go anywhere I mean I will say this the storyline this means not as boring as the storyline Captain Marvel but to be honest I think the first Thor film had a much better storyline

Now the acting in this movie It really interested because I don't think all the performances are bad I think for the most part they are giving really good to perfect performances but the problem is easily The script because I'm going to say this out of all on the MCU movies this one probably had the Forgettable lines of dialogue out of all of them.

Chris Hemsworth plays Thor In the film. I have to say even in parts where this film is not that great he somehow still gives a really powerful and entertained performance. Now Now the character of Thor Is perfect because he is just like how he was in the first film he is very serious and he doesn't make a lot of jokes because He acts just like how he does in the comics. Also Thor actually goes through a really interesting character because he has to cope with the death of his mother but he also has to team up with his evil half brother Loki to kill Malkath and save the universe. The scene where Thor recruits his half brother Loki Is not only really incredible but it makes sense because four needs help to defeat Malkath and save the universe. It is probably one of the most Important moments of the film because it further develops Thor and Loki's relationship in the MCU. The chemistry between him and Tom Hiddleston, And Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Jamie Alexandra And Christopher Eccleston is still perfect.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film Tom Hiddleston as Loki because even in parts where the film is not working he somehow still gives a really spectacular and entertaining performance. Now the character Loki is really interesting because in the first Thor movie he was the main villain and he was also the main villain in 2012's the Avengers. But in this film Loki is more of an anti-hero which I don't really mind. But to be honest I think i like it better and Loki is a villain. But having said that at least this film further develops him as a character. The scene where Loki transforms himself into Captain America is not only really funny but it makes sense because he suggests to Thor maybe he'll like to see one of his friends. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still astonishing.

Natalie Portman plays Jane Foster In the film. I have to say she still does a terrific job as the character. Now the character of Jane Foster is relatively the same as she was in the first film She's still like Thor and she wants to help him take down Malkath and save Asgard. The scene where Jane Foster goes up to Loki and slaps Him and says that for New York and not only is it really funny but it makes sense because Loki invaded new York with the aliens. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still perfect.

Idris Elba as Heimdall. I still think he does a great job as this character. I still think he is really smart and really wise. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still great. But just like what I said in my Thor review Idris Elba has nothing to do he is completely wasted as the character of Heimdall I don't know why Marvel likes to waste famous actors because both Idris Elba and Ben Mendelsohn are really wasted in the Marvel cinematic Universe. I think what they should have done is to cast Idris Elba to do the voice of Galactus in a post credit scene.

Jamie Alexandra plays Sif In the film. I have to say she still does a spectacular job as the character. Now the character of Sif Is just like how she was in the first film Says a Brave and awesome warrior and I will say that I think she's more interesting then Captain Marvel because Seth sort of develops and a character. The scene where Seth and Thor are fighting all the dark elves is probably one of the most interesting moments of the entire film because they are trying to stop them from invading Asgard. It is probably the most memorable moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still remarkable.

Now let's talk about the villain Malkath. Honestly Malkath is the most bland and the most forgettable Marvel villain ever made. Malekith doesn't really have a character because he is just a very generic and uninteresting villain. Also his motivation is so bland he wants to destroy the universe Because they want to shower everything in darkness it is probably one of the worst MCU villain motivations sense Aldridge Killian´s motivation in Iron Man 3. Now Malkath is played by Christopher Eccleston and his performance is so bland so flat that he give one a nothing performances in the MCU because as much as I did not like Kro from Eternals at least Bill Skarsgard's performance well bad at least it was something. To be honest I think they Developed Malkath Give him a much more interesting motivation and a lot more things for him so he can have a lot more to do in the film. I think that way me and the character are a lot better and he could be just like how he's in the comics. I still think Malkath is up there with Aldridge Killian from Iron Man 3 as one of the worst MCU villains. Also the rivalry between him and Thor is just not really interesting because they don't really build it up at all to be honest as much as I found Thor love and thunder silly at least they build up Thor and Gore the God Butcher´s rivalry throughout the film. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is decent. Fun fact actors like Mads Mikkelson, David Tennant, Tom Hiddleston Mark Strong, Hugo Weaving, Jason Statham, Ben Kingsley, Billy Bob Thornton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jason Isaacs, Ethan Hawke, Matthew McConaughey, Alexander Skarsgard, James McAvoy Daniel Day-Lewis, Tom Hardy, were all considered to voice Malkath.

The directing by Alan Taylor Is actually really interesting because what I like about his directing is that he actually does a great job of Keeping The tone of the film consistent just like the first film because It's a lot more darker and the character that are a lot more serious. Also he does fantastic job of giving Thor and Loki more development as characters beginning to put their differences aside too to save the world. He also did a pretty decent job of developing more of Thor and Jane Foster's relationship in this film. So I think he did a good job with all the stuff that I have mentioned. So where does he not do a good job with the film well the villain because for some reason he didn't even develop Malkath as a character because he's not in the movie that much So he don't really have a standout moments And that's really disappointing because he had so much potential to be a really awesome and entertaining villain. But no They didn't make him interesting or anything near as evil as he is in the comics or the cartoons. So overall I think he did a okay job directing this film.

So in conclusion well I don't hate this movie I did think this is one of the most forgettable MCU movies because nothing much happened and the thing that probably frustrates me the most is that i really wanted to like this movie that is stuff i enjoy the tone is just like how it is in the first film. Thor is still a really serious character and Loki is still really entertaining and Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth  still work well together in this movie. Also there are some decent accent sequences in this film. But the final battle in this movie really disappointed me because it could have been interesting but it's just one is really forgettable because it's not even that bad as the climax in Captain Marvel or Batman and Robin I think those two movies have more dumber climaxes then this one but this one is just disappointing. But the biggest problem with this movie is Malkath because they do nothing with him because he is so boring and not interesting and to be honest the one in the comics and in the cartoons are a lot more interesting then the one found in the film. To be honest I They should have followed the comics and made Malkath a lot more entertaining and more intimidating. Also he could have been one of the best MCU phase 2 villains. But they didn't do that. He was such a boring and flat villain. But overall I was really disappointed with this film because it still had so much potential to be just like the first movie in terms of being perfect. I give this movie a 5/10.
