 Here is My Movie Review for  The Fundamentals of Caring 

    Now when it comes to this film I always really enjoyed this film in fact it's one of my favorite Netflix films of all time because The concept in this movie is really amazing how it revolves around this guy named Ben who has to take care of this teenager named Trevor who has muscular dystrophy and he is in a wheelchair and he doesn't really go out much and his mother tells Ben That he has to take Take care of Trevor and make sure nothing bad happens to him and the film execute that concept really perfectly. The other thing I like is the cast because this does have a pretty awesome cast Even though there's not many character than the film the actor doing Stellar job with their performances.

    Now the storyline in this movie is incredible because it revolved around this guy Ben who is going through a lot his wife is divorcing him he's coping with the Lost of his son until he get the job of taking care of Trevor who is his teenager who's in a wheelchair and his mother Tell Ben that he has to do everything that Trevor told him to do and make sure nothing bad happens to him and Trevor wants to go to the largest pet which in essentially a giant Cannon And also find his father who left him at the age 3 so the two of them embark on the road trip on the on the way they made this woman named Dot who Trevor fall in love with and the three of them Start to bond. That is basically what the story is for this film. I have to say the storyline is incredible how it revolves around ben who has to take care of trevor and the two go on a road trip together is a brilliant concept in the film executes it perfectly.

    But the best thing about this movie are the performance Because even though this film doesn't have a lot of characters the actors do a glorious job with their performance is you can tell that everyone is having fun as their characters. I think this film is up there with Tallulah as one of the best acted films of 2016 because both movies have tremendous acting in them.

 

Craig Robert plays Trevor in the film And he probably gives one of the most emotional performances because when the characters Trevor has to be sad or happy Craig Robert to the Glorious job of like pulling off those two sides of the character. Now the character of Trevor is really interesting because you really feel bad for him because he didn't really have a good childhood because his father left him at the age of 3 he's lonely Doesn't have a friend he does it really get out And he really want to find his dad And see if he remembers him. Now the fiends with Trevor are amazing Because there are so many memorable moments with this character especially when he meets Ben for the first time and ask him if he can call the Make-A-Wish Foundation to have Katy Perry have intercourse with him what did that was really funny but the dinner always makes me laugh is where Trevor is choking in the car and Ben tries to resuscitate him And Trevor smiled and Ben gets really mad because he thought forever would actually dying but he was just pranking him. But there's also moments where he's really emotional it's been to wait find out that his dad never really wrote to him it'll actually his mother and get the to an argument With Ben and it does lead to some really funny and some really tragic moments in the film. The chemistry between him and Selena Gomez and Paul Ryan is still amazing.

Selena Gomez plays Dot in the film And her performance is really incredible she did they still a job as this character because she does such a incredible job of pulling off this very snotty but very fun character and when the character of Dot needs to express her emotions whether it's her being happy or annoyed that off as well. Now the character of Dot is incredible because when you first institute to where she is standing in the middle of the road smoking and she doesn't want to be with Ben and Trevor because she thinks Ben is a prevent crepe who followed her around but after some convincing she does join the two on their road trip and the three do start the bond. The scenes with Dot are incredible Because there are a lot of moments I really like Especially the part where she says to Trevor's dad and if that does´t jog his memory that means you're enormous dick and what makes it kind of funny is that she barely called out Trevor's dad for being a shitty father for not being there with his son and lying to him But it is also a sad moment as well because Trevor is like kind of mad at his dad for not telling him the truth. But my favorite scenes of Dot is her and Trevor bonding in the motel room and them talking and smiling at each other and the romance between her and Trevor is the strongest part of this entire film and you can tell that Selena Gomez is having a lot of fun as this character.

    However the absolute standout of the entire film is Paul Rudd Because anytime Paul Rudd is in a movie i'm automatically going to like it because he is one of my favorite actors of all time and he has given some really amazing performance is like in the MCU at Ant-Man. Or in Death Of A Unicorn, Mute, Prince Of Avalanche. Among many other films. Now as for this film that is no different he gives one of the most hilarious and what the most emotional performances add the character of Ben and this is probably my favorite performance that Paul Rudd has given outside of the MCU because you can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character because he gets such a incredible and a very captivating performance in this film. No the character of Ben is really incredible because you really feel bad for him because he's selfish threw away horrible divorce his coping with the Lost of his son but he also wants to take care of Trevor and made sure nothing bad happens to him and help him find his father as well as see the largest canon in the world as well as making him happy. Now there are so many incredible moments with Ben because some of my favorite moments with Ben is where he thinks Trevor's choking the car so he stopped the car and tries revive him but it turned out Trevor tricked him and Ben got so pissed he says God damn it. You fucker, don´t ever do that again you scared the shit on me. Then Trevor offers him a meat stick and Ben says fuck you because he did not like it when Trevor pretended to choke in front of him. But either way the funniest moment in this movie and where they're at the motel and Ben is like a shit and Trevor like what and Ben said I think we left your pills in the other hotel in Trevor has this pack attack because he needs to take his pills and then Ben shows him the pills Because it turned out they had them the whole time and what makes it funny that it was kind of payback for what forever did to him in the car Because Trevor pulled a really disgusting prank on him and so Ben kind of did one back to him and like revenge for almost scaring him. But there's also a lot of really amazing emotional moments with Ben especially when he had that flashback of him and his son game the groceries and his son accidentally gets hit by a car for him trying to tell Trevor that everything could be okay and they get into this argument and Trevor said you didn't really care about me to care about yourself and it didn't lead to some really sad and some really heartbreaking moments in the film. Also the bonding between Ben Trevor and Dot Is the strongest aspect of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Craig Robert is still marvelous.

however the best thing about this movie The directing by Rob Burnett because why I love about his direct and that he doesn't glorious job of making these characters really fun but also very tragic because Trevor Didn't really have a good childhood because his father left him at the age 3 And he's very lonely he doesn't have a friend and he wants to find his father as well as explore the world So he can find happiness. Also Ben also suffers through loneliness and depression because his son got hit by a car he's getting a divorce and he's not having the best of luck in life. But he wants to make Trevor happy It doesn't want anything bad happening to him and you can tell throughout the film he really cared about him. But I like how he tackles the subject of loneliness and depression because some people do go through loneliness and depression because they don't have a friends and they feel like they are all alone and it not only they really tremendous topic on its own but the way that Rob Burnett integrates it into the film is incredible And I think he did a terrific job directing this film.

So in conclusion i still really love this film because of the storyline is really powerful and really emotional because haven't revolved around Trevor who doesn't have the best wife he is lonely and depressed because his father left him at the age of three and he done it really go out of his house he just stays in his house in his wheelchair just watching TV that is until he meets Ben and he tell them that he walked to go on a road trip To see his father as well as seeing the The world's largest pet which is a The canyon and and the two start bond. It is a really interesting concept in the film executes it perfectly. But the best thing about this movie are the performances greg Roberts that the glorious job is Trevor he gets such a really emotional and a really fun and entertained performance as this character. But the truth stand out is of course Paul Ride as Ben because he gives a really funny performance but it really captivating and it really emotional performance as well and give Ben the very tragic but really fun personality and this is probably my favorite Paul Rudd performance outside of the MCU. Also Selena Gomez at the doll is also really fun and really entertaining with her snarky and fun personality that she brings to the character. Also the bonding between her and Trevor is the strongest thing in the film. I don't like how the film tackled the subject of loneliness and depression with our two main character that being Trevor and Ben because Trevor again his father left him at the age of 3 and he didn't really have a happy life and he never gone outside of his house and Ben suffered through a really bad divorce and his son died in front of him when he got hit by a car. I think this film is up there with Swan Song with Awkwafina as one of my favorite drama films. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like really powerful and really amazing drama films like First Reformed with Ethan Hawk then I'm sure you're going to like this film as well. I give this film a 10/10.
