Dc is Ruining Their Characters 

Now I'm going to explain the downfall of DC and their characters more specifically all the unnecessary changes that they do to the heroes and the villains mostly the villains because they do more dumb stuff than the MCU does with its villains surprisingly MCU they do screw things up a few times but at least they can make a compelling villain Well DC they didn't do so much dumb stuff That makes the fans angry. 

The beginning- Now when DC started out they got a lot of their villains right Like Batman 89 with the Joker because Jack Nicholson was a perfect Joker he had the outfit he had the luck he had all the dark and sadistic humor and really the only thing that they did that I did not like that they made Joker the killer of Bruce Wayne's parents and that was really dumb but that's more of a riding problem because if you take that out Jack Nicholson is still a perfect Joker. Also Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor from Superman the movie he is perfect he's very smug he's very arrogant he's full of himself he hates Superman and they do give him jokes but he's played seriously. The Dark Knight Trilogy those movies get almost everything right because they make Joker more realistic and more sinister thanks to Heath Ledger's iconic performance. Scarecrow still uses the fear toxins A\and he is wonderfully played by Cillain Murphy. Now yes they do make Bane a lot smaller than he is in the comics but they use camera angles to make Tom Hardy look really big and Bane was utilized really well in the movie. You know even Two-Face  play by Aaron Eckhardt that one was Comic Akron now sure they changed one thing they didn't have him get acid on his face they kind of like the Batman the Animated Series around where the Joker blow up a building and that's how Harvey  get deformed but everything else about the character is the same. Now Ra's Al Ghul Is really different from the comics they make him Ruth Wayne's Mentor in the film and he wants to destroy Gotham and rebuild it into a better image and he's still the leader of the League of Shadows and he's perfectly played by Liam Neeson so even though they did change a couple things about the character he is still really good in the movie. But then Man of Steel where they have general Zod and the main villain and rather than being calm calculating they just make him really over the top he yelled a lot and it is so dumb and he's played by Michael Shannon and I think with a bear script he would have been really good but then the script doesn't do any favors they just made him really over the top and ridiculous. They also kind of give General thought like an Iron Man suit or Iron Monger suit and it looked really cheap and How ironic is it that when you see Jeff Bridges in the Iron Monger suit In the climax of Iron Man he looks realistic but whenever you see Michael Shannon in that Mech suit he looks totally fake. But then The biggest spit in the face The most iconic Dc villains those being Lex Luther and Joker From Batman versus Superman and Suicide Squad. Now Joker is Terrible because he was not funny he was just trying to be like purple man from Jessica Jones being a creep played horrendously by Jared Leto Who is  garbage in real life. There was nothing that made him accurate to the comics because this Joker is just Joker and he's not funny he's just a gangster and that's all he is he doesn't have a personality he has a stupid grill he has a dumb haircut. Also You see him half naked in the movie which is not funny it's kind of uncomfortable. And they have Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eidenberg With this one is terrible because this looks the third it feels like he was high as fuck because he acts weird he does a lot of weird nervous texts and he is the worst comic to movie adaptation in the DCEU Because he's not intelligent he's not even bald except for the end of the movie He doesn't wear his battle armor But even if they did lex Luther well look really fake in that suit and all you'll see is Jesse Eidenberg CGI head you went really see a character. Also For some reason they make him Lex Luthor Jr he wasn't even the original which doesn't make any sense Because they never mention anything about his dad aside from him mistreating his son which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. 

The downfall- Now I just said that most comic to movie adaptations in dc Are good but also terrible. But now I will talk about what I believe is the day that DC became dumber than the MCU and that was during 2020 with the film Birds of Prey. Now with this film I think it's forgettable there are good moments in the film. I think Huntress is the best part of the film. She's very funny and you can tell that Mary Elizabeth Winstead is having a lot of fun as the character. But then you had the villain black mask now having black mask in a movie. Now That was a great idea: the idea of taking one Batman and the most scary villains and putting him in a movie with really good. But then they blew it by casting a great actor and that is Ewan McGregor Now here's the thing I think he's a great actor he has given some great performances. But here I don't know what the fuck He is even doing because he does the dumbest shit in this movie he Yells and screams at the top of his lungs and saying the word fuck multiple times and it wasn't funny the first time but It was certainly not funny The second or third time. Also the character of black mask is essentially just a misogynist he's not scary he's just a sexist jerk they also make him gay for some reason which Kind of weird but I can kind of look past that because they were trying to make him more feminine but they just made them lamer Now yes does black mask raise his voice in the comics and in Batman Under The Red Hood yes. But they didn't do like they do here because from this point he becomes Essentially Cartman and Acts really dumb and the way he dies in this movie is so dumb black mask gets tossed off a bridge and a grenade blows up in his pocket and he dies like a loser. It was really dumb how they took one of the best Batman villains and made him lame. But then we get to the Batman Hush anime the film and what they did to hush was so stupid because rather it being Thomas Elliot you know the real person who is Hush. But they decided to do something different and what they did well they made him The Riddler and that was the dumbest change. That's not what happened in the comic, in the comic Hush was always the villain. But the way they did it in the film is so ridiculous they say oh we're going to change it and yeah you essentially ruined the storyline.  But then there is CW The Flash show now this show a lot of people like but later on they do some of the dumbest stuff like the most Infamous one is that they gender swap Mirror Master into a woman and give her a completely different origin to how he is supposed to be in the comics and That was so unbelievably stupid because everyone know that mere master is a dude if that was a stupid enough they make red tornado into a villain now red tornado is essentially the DC variant of Vision he was an Android that is on the Justice League of America but in In this show they make him into a villain and that was so unbelievably stupid. But then we get to Lex Luther in Superman 2025 Now for the first two acts he's really good and Nicholas Halt did a good enough job as the character. But then when you get to the third act of the film Lex Luthor goes from Intelligent to really stupid because at this point in the film he becomes a big spoiled child like Hartman and when he goes full Cartman I'm like yeah this is fucking stupid because Lex Luthor he is supposed to be intelligent but in this movie they just ma'am like Cartman With the way he like scrunches up his face cries screams and it got very very annoying In the third act I'm like Dc has ruined Lux Luther again maybe not as severely as in 2016 but they just made him so unbelievably dumb. But what talk about the infamous blender that Dc has done Batman camped Crusaders because this show does so much dumb shit to the point that it is so terrible Because much like with Mirror master did gender swapped The Penguin into a girl and she looks so fucking ridiculous she looks like A stripper she looks really ridiculous for some reason they make penguin sing in the show and the actress she's trying her best But I would even go as so far to say that Danny DeVito penguin though I have issues with is a lot better than this interpretation. Ironically the only change I didn't hate was making Nocturna into a girl and I thought that was really interesting because I like the idea of making Nocturna into a little kid and I think out of all the villains in that show I think she's the best one because how they made her sympathetic. But they also do this really dumb thing with Two Face because they do a roll reversal where Harvey Dent is a villain but then when he gets deformed he becomes good which I get what they're going for trying to make him more of an anti-hero but it doesn't hide the fact that two-face has been bad this whole time. So they said we made two-faces really dumb. But then we get to the worst change of all Making Man Hatter into a girl and this was so unbelievably stupid because Mad Hater for the longest time with a guy He's always been a male character But gender swapping him it was so dumb and they change the name from Jarvis Tetch To Hattie and that was a stupid name change in fact it was almost as dumb as in the MCU where With kilgrave they changed his real name  Which was Zebediah Kilgrave To Kevin Thompson and that was so unbelievably stupid but the character  of Purple Man was comic accurate. But with this new Mad Ratter she just looks fucking weird and really dumb. But then we get to the weird shit which of course Riddler and Poison Ivy first off the Riddler looks like shit They make him fat even though he's wearing a coat but it just makes him more fatter he looks like Kingpin which doesn't make any sense and much like filter they turn into a big baby and have the riddle or throw a temper tantrum and he says in the trailer I want him dead do you hear me dead dead and I'm here just thinking In the words of Harrison Ford from Captain America Brave New World You're not Paul Dano because when The Riddler were lost it temper in The Batman it worked where he says no no we had all planned out we were going to be safe here and we could watch the whole thing together everything. Then he says oh you are really nice smart and I thought you were I went to give you way too much credit. See when the Riddler loses his sanity in that movie it works. But when the red door does it in this show it makes him more pathetic and he comes off in the big baby like Black Mask so it said we they're just making another villain like Cartman in terms of him throwing a temper tantrum and screaming at the top of his lungs and well it worked in Captain America brave new world with the Leader because it was relevant to the story and it was really funny. Here they just make him really dumb. Now I get why they're doing this because the storyline in season 2 is similar to The Batman with The Riddler being the main villain and being a serial killer and well it worked in that film it does not work in the show at all.  Now let's talk about Poison ivy Who ironically looks like Uma Thurman's poison ivy and turned the dumb costume they give her and for some reason I don't know why they did this but why does Poison Ivy have a handgun because she has plant powers but I guess they were trying to make it more realistic and the kissing scene between her and the Riddler that you see in the trailer look so fucking ridiculous because they are just friends. they were never boyfriend and girlfriend in the comics and it reminded me of the horrible kissing moment and Captain America Civil War where Steve Rogers makes out with Sharon Carter for like 30 seconds And that is the dumbest moment in them but somehow this is actually worse than that kissing scene Yeah they actually topped the MCU and turned the stupidity. I'll set ones and I'll mention it right now If DC really cares about their villains then why the hell are they trying them into whiny bitches why does every villain have to have a fucking temper tantrum and crash out moment to make them intimidating and spoiler alert it doesn't make them intimidating and make them fucking lame. Not sure they have made a great villain with Starro in The Suicide Squad because they fixed that character and made him better than he was in the comics By making him really scary and really tragic at the same time and Gender swapped Ratcatcher which was decent because she was the daughter of the original. But sorry from that DC just makes dumb choices after dumb choices and I'm just like I'm a better writer than these dumb asses who believe that change making all the male villains really dumb by having them scream and cry and yell and swear multiple times it doesn't make the villain's memorable it just makes them stupid. That just proves that despite all the problems I have with the MCU nowadays I can say that mostly they're villains are more consistent than the DC villains are. That's a bad way they fumbled these characters. 

Conclusion- This was really fun to do. It was really interesting to discuss the rise and fall of DC characters and how some interpretations were really perfect while others were really lame due to how bad the writing is For these characters and how making their villains yell and complain just makes them Lamer and Dumber. To the point that Some of these interpretations are really bad That it makes you appreciate some of the MCU villains because You won't know how much I dealt like taskmaster in the MCU I think she is a pathetic villain but after seeing The Mad Hatter I'm like maybe Taskmaster isn't that bad after all That's how much I hated the gender swapping of Mad Hatter and the whole romance between Poison Ivy and The Riddler that is going to be a dumb change. This just proved that DC does not know what they're doing with their villains. That's why they make way too many changes to the the iconic characters and that they don't really listen to the fans i'm here like they should just read the comics copy and paste it from the comic and transfer to a show or a movie and then the character would have been comic accurate but no they just say oh we're good change it for no reason just make these characters dumb and not interesting at all. So all the reasons and more as to why I think DC is worse at adapting its villains and characters more than the MCU.
