Here is My Movie Review of Mercy

Now when I saw the trailer to this movie I thought I looked really dumb because of another AI type film and a lot of people said that this movie was really dumb. So I watched the film and oh dear this film is not as horrible as War of the World 2025. This is one of the worst films of the entire year so far because nothing in this movie is interesting, nothing much happens that is generic and really bland. 

Now the storyline in this movie is so dumb because it focuses around this guy named Chris Raven and he is put on trial With this judge named judge Maddox Who tell them that he doesn't figure out if he is innocent he'll be brutally executed so it's up to Chris Raven to prove that he didn't kill his wife and that's basically what the story is for this film. To be completely honest this storyline is so stupid because it's just so generic because nothing much happens because of how boring and again generic the storyline is. 

The performances in this movie are not that great but I will say they're not as bad as the acting in war the Worlds 2025 because that thumb had horrendous and downright terrible acting this just has boring acting this has just very dull performances Which it really disappoint because this movie does have good actors in it. 

Now let's talk about Chris Pratt. He is a tremendous actor. He has given some amazing performances like Star-Lord in the MCU, Mario In The Super Mario Brothers Movie, Paul in Her. But in this movie he probably has one of the most lifeless performances other than tired career as the character of Chris Raven because well he is trying his best with the bad material it just feels like he is sleepwalking throughout the entire film. Now well I don't think this is Chris Pratt's worst performance because the worst Performance has ever done was Movie 43. But this is probably Chris Pratt's most boring performance he has ever given because he's just playing himself throughout the entire movie. Now the character of  Chris Raven is so stupid and so unlikable because the movie wants you to feel bad for him because you want to prove to the judge that he didn't kill his wife. But you don't really feel bad for him because he's unlikeable. There are so many moments in the film where he's just arguing with his wife in the flashbacks it's just really dumb. The scenes Chris Raven are just so boring and so Bland because all he is doing is just talking to this AI program and just arguing with her and it gets really boring really quickly and even the ending where he is reunited with his daughter it is so dumb and you don't feel anything because again this character is so unlikable. The chemistry between him and Rebecca Ferguson, Annabelle Wallace, Chris Sullivan, Kali Reis Is okay. 

Now let's talk about Rebecca Ferguson. Now she is a tremendous actress. She has given some amazing performances like Lady Jessica in the Dune Movies, Rose the Hat from Doctor Sleep, Mae in Reminiscence which is probably her most underrated film she's ever done. But in this film she was really boring as the character of Judge Maddox. She is trying her best but she is just sleepwalking throughout the entire movie. Now the character of Judge Maddox It's just so boring because all she's here to do is to give Chris Raven Expedition and trying to help him figure out if he's guilty of murdering his wife or if he is innocent and that's all she does she's just here to give exposition That's how boring she is as a character. The chemistry between her and Chris Pride is okay. 

Now Annabelle Wallace as an actress is incredible. She has given some amazing and really awesome performances like Alice in Boss Level. Madison Mitchell In Malignant. But in this film she just gives one of the most boring and one of the most dumb performances as the character of Nicole Raven because she just goes completely over the top to the point that it is actually annoying. Now the character of Nicole Raven it's just so unlikable because all she did throughout this movie is argue and complain with her husband Chris Raven and gets really annoying after a while and that's all her character is. She's just there to be so unlikable and really dumb. The themes with Nicole Raven are just so annoying and so dumb all the scenes with Nicole Raven are just so dumb because her scenes consist of her arguing and being overly selfish to her husband and it definitely had some really dumb and some really boring moments throughout the film. The chemistry between her and Chris Pratt is okay. 

Kali Reis  plays Jacquelin Diallo In the film and her performance is just nothing. She gives one of the most boring and one most bland performances of this entire film. Now the character of Jacqueline Diallo is just really Bland because all she's here to do is to give expedition and that's all she does throughout the movie and she's barely in the movie that's how forgettable she is as this character. The scenes with Jacqueline Diallo are really boring because all these things consist of her just giving Exposition and it just comes off very boring and not interesting. The chemistry between her and Chris Pratt is okay. 

Now Chris Sullivan is a terrific actor. He has given some great performances like Presence as Chris, Guardian of the Galaxy Volume 2 as Taserface. But in this film he just gives one of the most over the top and one of the most dumb performances as the character Robert Nelson. Now the character of Robert Nelson is just really over the top. He's just a psychopath who wants to kill Chris Raven and his daughter Britt Raven and that's all he does throughout this movie he's just a really dumb and over the top and really bland character. The scenes with Robert Nelson are just really dumb especially the scene where you point the gun at Chris Raven is just so over the top and really dumb to the boy that you can't take it seriously and it's probably one of the dumbest moments in the film.  The chemistry between him and Chris Pratt is okay. 

But the worst thing about this movie is the directing by Timur Bekmambetov because it feels like he is trying to make this movie like searching with John Cho but the difference being that Searching was interesting and it had a really awesome and unique storyline. Well this film really felt like he was trying to copy Searching. But  making it a more boring and lamer version of that film. Also he doesn't develop much of any of these characters, the only thing we know about Chris Raven. That his wife was killed and he has to figure out who killed her and he had a drinking problem. That's all his character is and overall I think he did a horrible job directing this film. 

So in conclusion I did not like this movie because the storyline was really dull and just a blatant rip off to the storyline of Searching but the difference being that searching had a way better story this movie just had a really boring and really dumb story. Also the performances in this movie are just not that great especially from Chris Pratt because he is trying. But he's just sleepwalking throughout the entire film and I think this is his Boring performance he is ever given in his career. Rebecca Ferguson it's just really boring because I like her in the Dune movies. But in this film she did try her best. But she was also really boring and really Bland in the film. But the worst thing about this movie is the screenplay because I believe that this screenplay was written by AI because of how dumb the dialogue is in this film. Not to mention I was really bored by this movie because it's 1 hour and 41 Minutes long. But It felt like it was 3 hours and 54 minutes. That's how bored I was while watching this film. This is one of the worst films I have seen so far this year. I say just skip this film and go watch Searching with John Cho because that film has a much better and much more interesting storyline. The performances are a lot better than the performances in this film. I give this movie a 2/10.
