Here is My Movie Review of The Legacy of A White-Tail Deer Hunter
So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Buck Ferguson and he is this Hunter who makes videos of him and his friend Don going on hunting trip and one day he decides to bring his son Jaden on a hunting shrimp to get him to kill his first deer but he is not really into that so Buck decides to give him that tough love by not laying me this phone and the three of them are tracking through the wood looking for the deer and it's up to buck to get his son to become more mature and kill his first deer and that's basically what the story is for this film. I have to say a storyline in this movie that's really interesting because the concept of buck taking his son deer hunting is a really interesting concept in the film executes it perfectly. I think the storyline is up there with Ant-Man and The Wasp as one of the best story lines of 2018 Because that film had a really interesting and entertaining storyline as well.
The acting in this movie is terrific because I can tell that all these actors were having a lot of fun playing characters. Also to be honest I don't think this is the worst acted film of 2018 I do think films like Gotti and Robin Hood 2018 I think those films have way worse acting than this film does. I think this film is up there with Deadpool 2 as one of the best acted films of 2018.
However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Josh Brolin as Buck Ferguson because you give such a powerful and raw performance as the character. I think this is Josh Brolin's most underrated performance he ever did in his career. Now the character of Buck Ferguson Is incredible because he wants to have his son Jaden be outside and learn what it's like to become a hunter so that's why you can understand him giving him this tough love to make him become more mature. The scene where Buck Ferguson tells Jaden that he has to not be on his phone And just enjoy being outside with him and learning how to hunt and kill his first deer. Not only was it really emotional and really Incredible but it makes sense because Buck Ferguson is giving his son tough love by telling him not to be on his phone. Instead enjoy being outside and learning how to be more mature and Independent. It is probably one of the memorable and captivating moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Danny McBride and Montana Jordan Is incredible.
Danny McBride plays Don in the film. I have to say he still does a magnificent job playing the character because he gives a really and really terrific and entertaining performance. Now the character of Dawn is really fantastic because he is Buck Ferguson's best friend and wants to help him encourage his son to learn how to be a professional hunter to get him to kill his first deer and want them to be more independent. The scene where Don Tells Buck Ferguson that he doesn't like it when he treats him like garbage and not only is it a really intense and emotional moment but makes sense because Don was sick of Buck telling him what to do. It is probably one of the most suspenseful nail biting moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Josh Brolin is incredible.
for this being Montana Jordan’s birth and pretty much the only film he started in. I had to say he still does a glorious job as Jaden because he gets such an entertaining and fun performance as the character. Now the character of Jaden is really interesting because unlike his dad Buck who enjoys hunting outside Jaden does not Hr to be on his phone and not follow his dad's orders. The scene where Jaden tells Buck that he does not like being treated like a kid is not only a really entertaining and interesting moment but it makes sense because he doesn't like his dad being too harsh on him. It is probably one of the most memorable moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Josh Brolin is terrific.
However the best thing about this movie is the directing by Jody Hill Is astonishing because what I love about his directing and that he does they tremendous job of making Buck Ferguson really interesting because even though he is unlikable you can act me understand why he is like that because he's giving his son Jaden tough what he wanted to be a professional dear Hunter like him he doesn't want him to be on his phone all the time in death want them to enjoy being outside and just having fun. To be honest this is really accurate to how some parents act with their kids they're strict. They want them to enjoy themselves and not be on their phone and just want them to entertain themselves and Grow up and mature. I think it was really incredible how he did that.
So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this film because the storyline in this film is really incredible because it revolved around Buck Ferguson trying to encourage his son Jaden to go on a hunting trip and become a professional deer hunter. I still think all the performances in the film are really fun and very entertaining. My favorite performance is Josh Brolin because he gives one of the most powerful and Incredible performances in the entire film. I still think that this is probably up there with Jonah Hex as one of the most underrated films that Josh Brolin has ever done. Also to be honest I don't think this is the worst Netflix original film because There are Netflix movies like Death Note 2017 and War Machine are way worse Netflix original films because those ones are really boring and not interesting. Well this one's actually fun and entertaining. I still think this film is off there with Ant-Man and The Wasp as one of the most underrated films of 2018. I also think that this film is up there with mute with Paul Rudd as one of the most underrated films of the 2010s because both movies are not that bad and they are actually really entertaining Because they both have really Interesting and Incredible storylines. I highly recommend you watch the film especially if you enjoy emotional drama films like Jungle with Daniel Radcliff. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
