Here is My Movie Review of Love Hurts

So basically what happens is that you have this guy in Marvin Gable and hear this real estate agent who sells people houses and it Valentine's Day but then he starts having flashbacks of his ex-lover Rose Carlisls Of him leaving her and his roped in this message to find her and then his evil brother Alvin Knuckles who want to make him into a ruthless assassin and he's trying to get over his PTSD of killing people and it's up to Marvin Gable To reunite within long lost lover Rose  Carlisls and take down his older brother Alvin Knuckles and put his past behind him and that's basically what the story is for this film. I have to say the storyline this movie well simple it is really excellent having this character who doesn't want to become a killer works extremely well because Marvin Gable  Is a guy that has a lot of PTSD he just wants to get rid of it by planet past behind them and reunion with the love of his life and not become a killer. 

The acting in this movie is tremendous because everyone gives a lot of effort in their performances and you can tell that everyone is having a lot of fun and this is probably one of the best acted films of the entire year so far. This movie is probably up there with Everything Everywhere All At Once as one of the best acted films of the 2020s. 

Now let's talk about Ke Huy Quan. This guy is a tremendous actor. He started  in Indiana Jones Teleport Doom as Short Round. He Starred in The Goonies at data and he was really awesome and really funny in that movie as well. Recently he starred in the 2022 action science fiction film Everything Everywhere All At Once and he won an Oscar for that movie for best supporting actor. But in this film that is no different because Ke Huy Quan gave one of the stand out performances  in the film as Marvin Gable because his performance is probably one the most emotional as well as one of the best performances he has ever given in his career. Now the character of Marvin Gable It's really incredible because this is a character that's  broken because his girlfriend left him. He has a lot of PTSD with his evil brother Alvin Knuckles. he wants to put that all behind him and wants to get Rose Carlisle back and spend more time with her. The scene where Marvin Gable tells Rose  Carlisle that he doesn't want to confront his past is not only really emotional and a really tremendous scene but it makes sense because Marvin Gable does not want to confront his horrible past behind and just live life as a normal man. It is probably one more tragic and beautiful moment of the entire film. Another scene that I like in the film Is where Marvin Gable hears a guy screaming in the back of this car and he is confused about what is going on. It is not only really funny. But it makes sense because he wants to know why his ex-girlfriend had a guy in the back of a trunk with tape on his mouth and his hands tied together. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ariana DeBose, Sean Aston, Cam Gigandet, Daniel Wu, and Is perfect. 

Ariana DeBose plays Marvin Gable’s ex-girlfriend Rose Carlisle In the film and her performance is tremendous. She does an aesthetic job as this character. Now the character of Rose Carlisle Is outstanding because she wants Marvin Gable to confront his past and take down his evil brother Alvin Knuckles and fix his relationship with her. The scene where she tells Marvin Gable that he left her to be almost killed by Alvin Knuckles. Not only is it a really powerful and tragic moment but it makes sense because you can understand why she is mad at him for not coming back to her and it's one of the more suspenseful and dramatic moments of the film. The chemistry between her and Ke Huy Quan. 

Now Sean Aston it's really interesting because much like Ke Huy Quan he also starred in the Goonies as Mikey the main character and you can say this movie sort of a mini Goonies reunion because both of the actors starred in that film.  Now Aston's performance as Cliff Cussick In this film is  excellent even though he doesn't play a huge role in the film. You can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now Cliff Cussick  as a character is incredible because he has shown that he is very down to earth and very nice to Marvin Gable  because they are essentially best friends in this film. The scene where Cliff Cussick  meets Marvin Gable At work and mentions how much he is a really nice guy is not only really emotional but it makes sense because you can tell that they really care about each other is probably one of the strongest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Kuy He Quan Is brilliant.

Cam Gigandet plays Alvin Knuckles’s is right hand man Renny Mario In the film and his performance is terrific  because you can tell he is having a lot of fun at this character. Now Renny Mario as a character is really spectacular because he will do anything to make his boss Alvin Knuckles happy by sending out multiple assassins to Kill Marvin Gable and Rose Carlisle. The scene where Renny Mario is calling his boss Alvin Knuckles and he doesn't understand what he just said in Alvin Knuckles says did I fucking stutter and not only is it really funny but it makes sense because Renny Mario Forgot what Alvin Knuckles said the first time. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ke Huy Quan Is magnificent. 

Daniel Wu plays Marvin Gable’s Evil brother Alvin Knuckles And his performance is probably the darkest performance of this entire movie and he does such a tremendous job playing this cruel, despicable and downright evil character in the film. Now the character of Alvin Knuckles Is probably one of the most disgusting one of the most vial characters in this entire film because he hated his brother Marvin Gableb because he stopped killing people and he wants him to get back into it because if he doesn't he threatened to kill him if he doesn't obey his orders because views Marvin Gable as a loser. The scene where Alvin Knuckles tells Marvin Gable That he wants him to get back into killing people is not only a really disturbing moment but it makes sense because Alvin Knuckles misses all the times that he and his brother have killed people and he wants him to be like him and he also wants to kill his brother's ex-Girlfriend Rose Carlisle  Not to mention Alvin Knuckles is really fun to hay because you want to fucker to meet his end luckily he gets with coming to him because Marvin Gable beat the fucking shit out of him and get arrested at the end for all the bad stuff he has done to his brother. I think Alvin Knuckles is up there with The High Evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 as one of the most vile and one of the most despicable villains of the 2020s and He's also up there with Cassandra Nova from Deadpool and Wolverine as one of the best villains of the 2020s. The Rivalry between him and Marvin Gable Is tremendous because you understand why they hate each other because Alvin Knuckles wants his brother to become a killer again just like him. But Marvin Gable doesn't want to become a killer, he just wants to live a normal life. The chemistry between him and Ke Huy Quan Is perfect. 

However  the best thing about this movie is the directing by Jonathan Eusebio An Incredible because this is his very first movie that he'd ever directed so this is his directorial debut And I have to say he did a magnificent job directing the film because what I love about his directing that he does a really tremendous and outstanding job of developing all the characters especially Marvin Gable Because he is a character that is basically a pacifist he doesn't want to kill anyone anymore he want to get over his PTSD and live a normal life but also wants to fix his relationship with Rose Carlisle  So they can spend time with each other again. I also like how he developed the character of Alvin Knuckles because this is the character that is very cruel but very interesting because he manipulates his brother into becoming a killer just like him because he sort of misses those days when the two just went around killing a lot of people. I think it is really magnificent how he did that. I am so looking forward to seeing what he's going to direct next in the future. 

So in conclusion I was really happy with the film. The storyline was really simple but really interesting having Marvin Gable trying to get over his PTSD of his older brother and then taking revenge on him for manipulating him and trying to kill his ex-girlfriend Rose Carlisle. Also Ke Huy Quan gave one of his best performances of entire career and Marvin Gable gave so much emotion but yet he also made the character funny but also really tragic at the same time. I like how the film was sort of a Goonies reunion because you had data and Mikey interacting again. Also the villain Alvin knuckles is one of the most vinyl and one of the most disgusting but yet really awesome villains of the entire year so far. I think he's up there with The High Evolutionary Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 as one of the most vile in one of the most evil villains of the 2020s. I also think he is up there with Kiros from Mufasa The Lion King as one of the best villains of the 2020s. This movie is probably up there with the Goonies as one of the best films that Ke Huy Quan was in. I highly recommend you go see the film  In theaters especially if you Enjoyed Everything Everywhere All At Once which also Stars Ke Huy Quan. I give this movie a 99/10.
