Here is My Villain Review of The Riddler

Here is My Villain Review of The Riddler

Now I'm going to discuss the reader who is the main villain in 2022's The Batman and explain why he is one of the most disturbing villain the 2022 but also one of the most intelligent and entertaining villains of the 2020s.

Origin- Now The Riddler's origin in the film is really interesting because  when he was  kid he was  put into foster care and what raised in an orphanage run by Thomas and Martha Wayne the same people that took care of Bruce Wayne / Batman but the problem was that They had a lot of rap problems and kids were die every winter due to the coldness and lack of funds needed to run the orphanage And Edward Nashton was picked on and shunned by the rest of the orphan kids. But then Thomas Wayne got all the money to help the orphans and Edward and Ashton but after he dies the mayor decide to let all of the corrupt people in power dog pile in have all the money to themselves and this caused Edward Nashton to snap in became unstable but once he saw Batman he started to idolize him and view him as a friend as way of showing that he really cares for him is playing his favorite game since he was kid that being a game of riddles. So Edward Nashton decided to make his own identity and he called himself The Riddler. I think the film does a tremendous job of giving the radar a really dark but really interesting backstory because not only does it show that the riddle had a very bad childhood but although shows up bringing by having him look up to Batman and see him as a friend how he inspires him to do the same thing that he is doing But the only differences that The Riddler is not afraid to brutally kill somebody while Batman does not kill anyone at all.

Character- Now the Riddler at a character is really disturbing because he enjoys killing people he views it at the hobby and he wants to show how corrupt and evil Gotham is by killing people in high positions of power to do that by planting bomb collars around their next if they don't get the answer to the riddle he wrote them up and brutally killed them and he also used a social media to have people be like him and go on killings free because he essentially inspired by the zodiac killer who leads cryptic messages to the detectives in real life so The Riddler does the same thing except he says his messages to Batman showing how much he was inspired by him and views him as a friend but when things don't go his way he starts to break down. I think the film does a terrific job of making The Riddler very horrifying but also very intelligent and made him into like a zodiac style serial killer by selecting targets as his victims.

Motivation- Now the Riddler´s motivation is really scary but it's also very political as well because he wants to kill the people in high  High positions of power because when Thomas Wayne died the mayor decide to be selfish and let the other citizens of Gotham who are in high position of the power to all dog pile on that money and feel their own pockets with it and instead of give it to the Orphanage that really needed so in order to get his revenge the red or the signs to put bomb cars around his victims next and tell them to answer the correct answer to his rentals and if they don't he blow up and kill them and he also tried to get Batman to join him and help him kill these corrupt people in power but Batman refuses So in retaliation he decides to send his henchmen on a manhunt to kill Batman and flood the city and watch the the world sink as millions of people are caught in the flood. I think the film did a tremendous and stellar job of giving The Riddler a really dark but really interesting motivation because he wants to show how evil and corrupt Gotham is so in order to do that he decides to kill them by having them answers riddles and if they don't he isn't afraid to exterminate them by blowing them up to smithereens. Also if you think about it, The Tiddler did sort of one in the end because he caused Gotham to go into chaos. He caused a big flood Which destroyed half the city and he showed that he was much smarter than Batman.

Best Scenes- Now the Riddler had a lot of memorable and scary moments in the film. But if I had to pick my favorite moment with the Riddler it will be the scene where he is confronted by Batman in Arkham Asylum and he says No no no.¨ This is not how it was supposed to go.¨ I had it all planned out.¨ We were going to be safe here.¨ We can watch the whole thing together.¨ Everything.¨ It was all there.¨ You mean you didn't figure it out.¨ Oh you're really not as smart as I thought you were¨ I guess I give you too much credit.¨ What's black and blue and dead all over you.¨If you think you can stop what's coming.¨ Not only was it really disturbing but it makes sense because The Riddler thought that he and Batman were friends and they were team up to kill people with a high percentage of power. But in reality they were not friends at all Because Batman called him out for being just a crazy lunatic and mentioned that their friendship that he created is just in his own head. It is probably the most disturbing one  craziest scene of the entire film and it's all thanks to Paul Dano´s powerful and haunting performance.

Evil Deeds- The red door does a lot of evil and disturbing shit in this film like the very first moment in this film you see The Riddler viciously beating the mayor over the head with a carpet pressing hook to death. causes the city to flood with water he also tries to say that he and Batman are a team but they are very much not.¨ He is a social media to have people who follow him go out and kill millions of people and God them in high positions of power. I think the film does an exquisite and spectacular job of showing how dark and disturbing the Riddler is because he is not very strong. He even mentioned that his strength is very weak so he uses his intelligence to break Gotham intellectually.

Conclusion- The Riddler And they really awesome and tremendous done because his motivation is that he wants to kill people in high position the power who stole Thomas Wayne's money after he died in the mayor just let them all dog pile and have all The money to themselves and not fund it to the orphanage so The Riddler decides to get revenge on them by showing How dark and disturbing Gotham's senses are by killing the people in high position of the power and in order to do that he decide to play his favorite game since childhood that being a game of riddles by using bond collars to kill them if they get the answers wrong. His backstory is really disturbing how you grow up in an orphanage and it was really bad because a lot of the children died in the orphanage due to all the cold winters and The rats were eating most of the kids and some of the babies there died. All the head connection to Batman is really interesting and really messed up because he views Batman out of the friend and he either I sent him the kid and the show his appreciation for him he decided to play his favorite game that being a game of riddles. The monologue that he gives in Arkham Asylum and how he breaks down saying That he and Batman are friends and they were a team but in reality they weren't and not only with it really shocking and disturbing. But it showed that the Riddler was so upset with Batman because he viewed him as his best friend but in reality Batman keeps telling him it was all in his head and it is one of the darkest and was the most creepy moments of the film and it all thanks to Paul Dano´s scary and haunting performance. I think The Riddler is up there with Cassandra Nova from Deadpool and Wolverine as one of the best villains of the 2020s. I´m going to give The Riddler a 10/10.
