Here is My Movie Review of Seventh Son

So basically what happened that you have this guy named Master Gregory who is this old man who can see ghosts by he can no longer do that because he is aging so he decides to enlist the help of this guy named Tom Ward and he tell them that there this evil Woman named Mother Mountain who wants to take over the world by plunging it into darkness and then Tom Ward starts to fall in love with this woman named Alice and they started fall in love and he has to go through a training montage to become The Seventh Sonic card master Gregory said that it is his last hope and he doesn't explain why he just says it's his last help and it's up to Tom Warren to take down Mother Malkin and that's basically what the story is for this film. the storyline that's movie is so dumb it is just a lazier more terrible storyline of Lord of the Rings and there's a lot of stuff that this movie rips off from Lord of the Rings and I have to say this has a worst storyline than Green Lantern  2011 because as much as I hate Green Lantern 2011 I did get the crappy superhero movie at least the one positive I can give that film is that the story is simple to follow well bad it's easy to understand. But with this film you can't understand anything because the film tries to be like Jack the Giant Slayer when they battle all these giant mythological creatures but the only difference being if that Jack the Giant Slayer had awesome storyline well this film does not because it does not know what wants to be done this film want to be action film or a fantasy drama film and simply does not know what wants to be.

But the worst thing in this entire film is the acting because there are no good performances at all. To be honest this has some of the worst acting I have ever seen in a movie and yes I said I think this movie has worst acting than Captain Marvel because as much as I don't like that movie at least with that film there was one good performance with it. But with film there is nothing there's no redeeming qualities with the performances and this is one of the worst acted In 2015. You know it fuck it I think this movie has worst acting then Hansel and Gretel winch hunters because at least with that film it was a very entertaining movie Yes it was over the top and silly. But the actors did a fantastic job with their performances. But with this film you came and laughed at the performances because either The actors are overreacting or they're just going through emotions and not even caring. 

However the worst performance I'm sorry to say Jeff Bridges is terrible as Master Gregory because his performance is so weird he has this really thick beard it feels like he's muffling all of his lines and he tried to be like Ian McKellen from Lord of the Rings but the only difference being that Ian McKellen was perfect as Gandalf well in this film Jeff Bridges couldn't give less of a crap of what he's doing I feel like he just did this movie for a paycheck It definitely does show because he just there to give expedition. What's really disappointing is that he didn't really tremendous actor he played one of the best MCU villains that being Obadiah Stane / Ironmonger in the very MCU movie that being Iron Man. He was Klue in the Tron movie and is really awesome in those films. But the character of Master Gregory  is awful because all he does is give expeditions and train Tom Ward. That's all he did throughout the entire film. He's barely just Gandalf from Lord of the Rings but if Gandalf was really bad and really bland and just a really boring character that's the only way I can sum up Master Gregory as a character. I see when it first meets John Ward it's just very  bland and uninteresting character interaction. The chemistry between him and Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander is fine. 

Ben Barnes plays John Ward in the film and he is so horrible as this character because his performance is so flat and unmemorable because he's British but they haven't put on an American accent. It does not work in science it sounds really fake and very unconvincing. Also this Is up there with his performance as Jigsaw from Netflix at the Punisher of the worst performance you will ever see in a film or TV show because in that show he tried to put on an American accent and it failed there and it failed in this film. Also the character of Tom Ward Is really horrendous because he doesn't even have a character they tried to make him like Frodo from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. But the only difference is that Frodo has a very interesting and awesome character because he actually goes through a really powerful and epic character throughout the trilogy but with Tom Ward he simply does not. He is told to take down Mother Mountain and save the world and not that that's his character and it is not interesting. The scene where he falls in love with Alice is so bad and so uninteresting because they don't develop the romance between them he does instantly fall in love with her with no rhyme or reason. The chemistry between him and Jeff Bridges is fine. 

Alicia Vikander plays Tom Ward's love interest Alice in the film and she is really flat and boring as a character because all she does is give expeditions  and that's all her performance is just her giving expedition explaining to Tom Ward what is going on. The character of Alice is so bland she is just here to give Tom Ward exposition and just be his love interest The romance between the two characters does not work to be honest I think the romance between Ant-Man and The Wasp from the Ant-Man movies was a lot better because they built up that relationship from the first movie all the way up to Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania. But here they just rush Throw it with no buildup For no reason. The thing where she introduces her son to Tom Ward is just so heavy and just not interesting in the slightest. Even when they team up to take down Mother Malkin even that scene felt like filler. The chemistry between her and Jeff Bridges is average. 

Julianne Moore plays mother Malkin in the film and she does a terrible job as this character because her performance is so flat and monotone and other times she is just overacting for no reason. But the character Mother Mountain is so bland so boring she said they really boring and bland as fuck villain her motivation that she was to take over the world and kill everybody with all these monsters and demons and that is it That's her whole motivation I have to say she is probably worse than Muriel From Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters because Ellie's with that character she was really scary and has an on-screen presence and had a really intense and brilliant motivation because she wanted to kidnap all the children and eat them In order to become more powerful And Famke Jensen gave a much better and more intimidating performance than Julian Moore was in this film. I think Mother Malkin is up there with Kylo Ren from Star Wars The Force Awakens as one of the worst villains of 2015. The scene where she releases all these demons to try and kill Tom Ward is just very over the top and silly and the moment you're supposed to take seriously but you can't really take it seriously because of Julianne Moore´s Over the top and ridiculous performance. The rivalry between her and Tom Ward is just Blend in uninterested because they don't build it up She doesn't interact with him that much throughout the film I think the rivalry between Deadpool and Cassandra Nova from Deadpool and Wolverine was way better because they built Her up as a villain and you understand why she hates Deadpool because she wants to conquer the multiverse and destroy everything that Dead Pool knows and care about. But with Mother Mountain and Tom Ward there is no hatred between the two characters because they don't even show them trying to kill each other until the very end which is just one of the worst rivalries because the film The chemistry between her and Jeff Bridges is average. 

The directing by Sergey Bodrov Terrible because it feels like he doesn't know Anything about the book because in the book is about Alvin´s Family is migrating West To go across the hat trick river to an unknown society known as The unmakers were trying to stop Alvin who is still unborn. But eventually Alan will be born and been told that he had the seventh son And he is given incredible power But his dad with a non-believer of God wants Killed his own son and the rest of the other sons in order to Show that God can't be trusted Because he blames God for the death of his wife. So Alvin has to take down the evil mother Malkin in order to save all the gods and save the universe but in the film it is completely incorrect because they did well with the generic fantasy storyline that's not interesting so overall I think he did a terrible job of adapting the book. Also it feels like he did rush through the character introduction scenes with no build up and no entertainment value whatsoever so overall I think he did a terrible job directing this film. 

So in conclusion I heated this film. It was boring because nothing much happenes because It feels like you're just watching a really dull and uninteresting fantasy film. The storyline is so convoluted it's not interesting and it's not even accurate to the book it gets everything completely wrong about the book. I think this is up there with Artemis Fowl as one of the worst book to film annotations ever made. Now Jeff Bridges is a really great actor and he's very talented but in this movie he is not good in this movie at all. If you want to see a better Jeff Bridges movie just go watch Iron Man or go watch the Tron films Those films are a lot more entertaining and Jeff Bridges gives much more powerful and entertaining performances in those films The romance between Tom Ward and Alice is virtually nothing because she is not interesting because they just rush through their relationship. Mother Malcolm is one of the most boring and forgettable villains of 2015. I think she is up there with Kro from the Eternals as one of the worst villains of all time. I say just skip this movie, go watch the Lord the Rings Trilogy or go watch Jack the Giant Slayer with Nicholas Holt. You'll have a much better time with those films. This is easily in my top five worst films of all time and it is definitely in my top 3 least favorite movies of all time. I'll say this just go read the book. It's much more entertaining and way more interesting than this film. I give this movie a 0/10.
