Here is My Movie Review of Silent Night

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Brian Godlock And he is spending time with his son but unfortunately this gang dried up to their house and brutally murders Brian Godlock´s Son by shooting him and he tried to go after them but unfortunately he gets shot in the throat which this results in Brian Godlock moving his voice and he is filled with vengeance so he lists this guy named Detective Dennis Vassel and it's up to Brian Godlock to take vengeance on the game for killing his son and that's basically what the story is for this film. I have to say even though it's a story that we have seen a lot in films. It is still a really interesting take on the story having a silent protagonist so he can take vengeance on people who are responsible for the death of his son and I think the film does a tremendous job of telling the story. 

Now the acting in this movie is really interesting because there's not much dialogue. It's mostly a silent film but that being said the actors do a terrific job as their characters. I think this is probably up there with  Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 is one of the best active films of 2023. I  also think it is up there with Spider-Man No Way Home as one the best acted films of the 2020s. 

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Joel Kinnaman as Brian Godlock because even though he doesn't have much dialogue in the film he is still able To amount in the scenes where he is emoting at the character he said he does a tremendous job doing that. Now Brian Godlock as a character you really feel bad for he really wanted to spend time with his son on Christmas but unfortunately he had to watch his son get shot and killed in front of him he also got shot in the throat which resulted in him losing his voice and he wants vengeance on the gang that is responsible for the death of his son. Probably the best moment with Brian Godlock Is where he sees his son die in front of him and not only was it really traumatic and heartbreaking. But it makes sense because he will never be able to spend time with his son ever again because he died in front of him and this causes him to seek  vengeance on the gang and kill them to avenge his son's death. Is probably the saddest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and  Catalina Sandino Moreno, Kid Cudi, Harold Torres Is remarkable. 

Catalina Sandino Moreno plays Brian Godlock´s wife Saya Godlock In the film. Even though she doesn't talk in the film she still gives a really powerful and emotional performance as the character Now Saya Godlock as a character much like her husband. You really feel bad for her because she is also trying to cope with the loss of their son. Probably the best moment with  Saya Godlock Is where She is comforting her husband Brian Godlock.  Not only is it really powerful and emotional moments. But it makes sense because they are coping with the loss of their son. It's probably the most heartbreaking scene of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Joel Kinnaman Is terrific. 

Kid Cudi plays Detective Dennis Vassal In the film. Now even though Kid Cudi doesn't really talk in the film He still does an excellent job as the character. Now Detective Dennis Vassal  as a character is really incredible because he wants to help Brian Godlock get revenge on the gang for the death of his son. Probably the best moment with Detective Dennis Vassal Is where he first meets Brian Godlock. Not only is it a really great character introduction theme but it makes sense because it sets up their team to take down the gang  for Brian Godlock´s son's death. and then probably the most important moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Joel Kinnaman is magnificent.

Harold Torres plays Playa In the film. Even though he doesn't talk in the film he still does a glorious job as this character. Now Playa as the character is really interesting because as a villain he  is really entertaining  because he has a very simple motivation: he just wants to kill Brian Godlock just because he enjoys killing people. Probably the best moment with Playa where he and  Brian Godlock are battling near the end of the film and they are trying to kill each other and not only is it a really awesome action sequence but it makes sense because Playa wants to kill  Brian Godlock. I think Playa is probably up there with King Magnifico from Wish as one of the best villains of 2023. The rivalry between him and Brian Godlock is perfect. The chemistry between him and Joel Kinnaman is outstanding. 

The directed by John Woo is terrific because what I love about the idea that he does a Spectacular of giving Brian Godlock a really powerful and emotional character because he had to watch his son in front of him he lost his voice and he wants to take vengeance on the gang that's responsible for the death of his son. I think it is really Spectacular of how he did that. I also like how he was able to tell a really powerful and emotional story with not much dialogue and it proved that you can tell a story visually without dialogue. I think it is really tremendous of how he did that. 

So in conclusion I still really enjoy this film because of the powerful emotional storyline about Brian Godlock seeking vengeance on the gang that is responsible for the death of his son. I also like how this is mainly a silent action film because it showed that movies can have fantastic stories with minimum dialogue with mostly visual storytelling. I think this film is up there with Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania as one of the most Underrated films of 2023. Also I think Playa  is probably up there with De Guiche from Cyrano as one of the best villains of the 2020s. I think the film is up there with Cobweb as the best movies of the 2020s. I highly recommend you watch this film especially If you like Over the top action movies like Boy Kills World with Bill Skarsgard. I give this movie a 10/10.
