Here is My Movie Review of Serenity

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Baker Dell who owns this fishing boat and he likes to go fishing then one day he's recruited by his ex-wife Karen Zariakas  Who tells him that her new husband Frank Zariakas Is emotionally and physically abusing her And her son so he decides to help her out by trying to kill him By throwing him overboard So she and her son can have a happy life and that is basically what the story of this film. This has to be one of the dumbest movie Storyline because the concept alone a fishing man trying to Help it next girlfriend kill her new husband by talking overboard into the water and killing him is it's probably up there with the storyline of unhinged into the being one of the best worst storylines ever made for a film. 

The acting in the film is really bad in fact it's probably up there with Speed to Cruise Control as one of the worst active films but much like that film they kind of give performances that they're so bad that they're really funny to watch because of how over the top the actors are and these characters. 

Matthew McConaughey in this film plays Baker Dell and it's probably one of the weirdest performances he has ever given because he either talks normally or just screams  his head off. But either way it is a performance so bad to the point that's really entertained to watch now yes This is Matthew McConaughey's worst movie He's ever done because he Is a remarkable actor if you watch them in The Dark Tower and if you seen him in Interstellar he is a  tremendous actor but here it does feel like he was the one actor that was having fun throughout the entire thing. But the character of Baker Dell Is so lovely bad to the point that it's actually really funny because he is obsessed with fishing he loved to go out on his fishing boat to catch a lot of fish he likes to buy random fishing equipment and it comes off as really weird but kind of really funny in the scent that the character is so laughably bad that he's actually entertaining. The scene where Baker Dell kills  Frank Zariakas Is probably the weirdest but also the dumbest thing in the movie because You're supposed to take it seriously because Baker Dell killed someone but after he threw them overboard he screaming constantly and it's probably the most unintentionally funny moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Anne Hathaway, Jason Clark, and Djimon Houndsou Is decent.  

Anne Hathaway Plays Baker Dell´s Ex-wife Karen Zariakas  In the film and her performance is so weird and stupid To the point that it's actually funny because she overacts throughout the entire film she screams a lot she constantly yells and Freaks out a lot. Now much like I said with Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway Is a tremendous actress if you watch her in Interstellar and Broke Back Mountain. But the character of Karen Zariakas Is so weird and ridiculous because she yells a lot because her new husband is emotionally and physically abusing her. She constantly argues with Baker Dell throughout the film to the point that it's entertaining to watch. The scene where she and  Baker Dell are arguing over how to kill Her ex-husband Frank Zariakas and you're supposed to take it seriously but because of the fact that you're just arguing at each other it just comes off as really weird and  funny. It is probably the most unintentionally funny moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Matthew McConaughey is okay. 

Djimon Houndsou Plays Baker Dell´s Friend Duke in the film and his performance is really weird because He sometimes talks normally but at   times he mostly screens a lot and it is so laughably bad to the point that it's actually really funny and entertaining to watch. But the character of Duke is really weird because he much like Baker Dell also had a weird obsession with fishing and it's really bizarre and it is really laughable The scene where he and Baker Dell are arguing over how to   his fishing pole It's just so dumb to the point that's really over the top and silly. It is probably the most unintentionally funny scene of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Matthew McConaughey is okay. 

Jason Clark Plays Karen Zariakas ́s Husband Frank Zariakas In the film and his performance is so over the top and cheesy to the point that it is so entertainingly bad to watch because he screamed his head off throughout the entire movie. Now Jason Clark is a really awesome actor because if you watch him in Dawn of Planet of the Apes and The Devil All Time he gives really powerful performances in those films. But the character of Frank Zariakas  Is so over the top and cheesy because he screams his head off he yells a lot To the point that he is very similar to Eddie from Deadfall because both of them just scream a lot and overact and they're both really entertained to watch The scene where he yells at his wife Karen Zariakas Is supposed to be a very serious moment but because of how  over the top  Frank Zariakas Is as as a person it is part of the most unintentionally funny moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Matthew McConaughey is decent. 

Now the directing is really weird because this is the same director who directed the movie Locke with Tom Hardy And that is Steven Knight and I liked his directing in that film but his directing in this film is so weird To the point that is so laughably bad because this is about to be a very dark psychological mystery and throwing about a woman trying to get out of a toxic relationship with her new husband but for some reason There is really weird and really unintentionally funny things that happen the film like the content yelling in the arguing and the fishing obsession to the point that I feel like this feel more like a comedy rather than thrower It is probably the most laughingly bad directing I have ever seen for a film.

So in conclusion this is a really horrible film Because the storyline is so bad but at the same time it is unintentionally funny the performances in this film are really bad along with the actor the line though every to the point that even the acting is also really over the top and cheesy to the point that is actually Unintentionally funny to watch because a lot of the moments in the film very bad but the same time they are so laughably silly to the point that it's actually very funny to watch. This is Matthew McConaughey's worst  film. At the same time he is so bad in this film that it is probably his best and worst film that he has ever done. This is probably up there with The Fanatic as one of them with unintentionally funny films of 2019. Now this film does get a 2/10 because it is a really terrible film. But if you enjoy the movie Deadfall with Nicolas Cage as a movie that is so bad that's good you might enjoy this film  because of that reason. I give it a 10/10.
