Here is My Villain Review of General Dreykov

Here is My Villain Review of General Dreykov

Now I'm going to discuss the character of General Dreykov who is the main villain in 2021's Black Widow and explain why he is the best part of the film and as well as one of the most underrated villains in the MCU.

Origin- Now General Dreykov´s Origin is really interesting because in 1993 General Dreykov sent the only super powered soviet hero known as The Red Guardian on an undercover mission to infiltrate The North Institute In Ohio. As part of this undercover mission to recruits Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Two participate in the red room program so he can train them to become skilled assassins and Being done for spy espionage missions. I think the film does a terrific Job of giving General Dreykov an interesting origin.

Character- Now  General Dreykov as a character might be the most cold-hearted and one of the most disgusting villains in the MCU because he enslaves women and brainwashing them he experiments on his daughter to make her into this weapon/assassin. I think the film does an excellent job of making you hate General Dreykov because of all that terrible stuff he has done.

Motivation-  Now General Dreykov's Motivation is interesting because he wants to enslave all these women to make them skilled and tough assassins to gain power . Now his motivation is interesting but my problem with it is that the film never explains why he does all this. That's the problem with General Dreykov's Motivation Is that they needed to explain more of it. But I do think that the film does a decent job of giving General Dreykov a really interesting motivation.

Best Scene- Now General Dreykov Is not in the film that much but that being said he has a few memorable and intense scenes. If I had to pick my favorite scene with General Dreykov It'll be the thing where he explains to Natasha Romanoff that he made the red room to recruit women to become stronger and more More ruthless and not only was it really dark but it makes sense because General Dreykov  wants to have an army of Black Widows It is probably the most suspenseful moment in the entire film and it all takes to Ray Winston´s Intense and nail biting performance.

Evil Deeds- Now General Dreykov has done a lot of evil things in the film she tortured and trained it Black Widow in the red room. He enslaved all these women to become more ruthless and more skilled assassins He weaponized and experimented on his daughter and  Antonia Dreykov. I think the film does a really incredible job of making General Dreykov really intimidating and really despicable as a villain.

Conclusion- General Dreykov Is a really interesting character because he was the one that was responsible for torturing Natasha Romanoff and training her to become a skilled assassin. I think that the strongest aspect of the character was his connection to Natasha Romanoff. I think his origin story is really interesting: how he had to recruit the red guardian to get Natasha Romanoff to go to the red room and be trained there. Now my only problem with General Dreykov Is that his motivation's good. But I do wish he explained why he enslaved all these women into the red room The only thing we know is that he wants them for power and that day I do which they give him a more a understandable motivation but that being said I do think  way better than Koro motivation from Eternals  because General Dreykov  had a better motivation. The scene where General Dreykov  explains to Natasha Roma why he made the red room program is a very powerful and intense scene and it is all thanks to Ray Winston's chilling and nail biting performance. I do think out Silver Village in movies he is a wig villain if you can pair him to  villains like Thanos or Ian McKellen's Magneto he is not the best written villain but I'll tell you this he's way better than Ezekiel Sims from Madam Web because at least General Dreykov  Is intimidating and threatening throughout the movie and Ray Winston gave a far better performance than Tahar Rahim Because he is way too over the top and cringe worthy as the character well Ray Winston is a lot more calm and subtle in his performance. I'm going to give General Dreykov a 7/10.
