Here is My Movie Review of The Marvels

Here is My Movie Review of the Marvels

So basically what happens is that you have Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel did travel around in space but then she is reunited with Monica Rambo and they meet up with Kamala Khan/ Miss Marvel and they find out that Whatever they use their powered they switch places because of Kamala Khan/ Miss Marvel’s Bengal But then you have this woman in Dar-Ben who wants it so she can use it to bring the light back to her home So it's up to Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Monica Rambo and Kamila Kahn / Miss Marvel to take down Dar-Ben and save the world. That is basically what the story is for the film and I have to say unlike the first Captain Marvel which had a very boring story this one had a More entertaining storyline.

Now let's talk about the acting in the film. Now the acting in Captain Marvel was I feel like they gave more effort in this movie than they did in the first film.

Now Brie Larson in the film is really interesting because in the first film I don't think she did a great job as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel I just felt like she was born throughout the entire film just sleepwalking through her performance and not giving a good performance whatsoever. But I'm actually surprised to say this she actually improved upon her performance she gave it more energy and she emotes more and she's actually very entertaining as the character. Now the character of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel is very entertaining too because in the first film she was so boring so unmemorable and the character that I did didn't really care for her whatsoever but I have to say this really surprised me because I actually enjoyed her character a little bit more in this film and she actually gone through some emotion and some character development because she meets up with Monica Rambo and she feels guilty that she hadn't been there for her very long. Also unlike in the first movie she actually smiled a few times and actually kind of breaks down crying. Now in the first film there weren't many scenes I liked doing All of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel scenes were not really interesting but once again I'm shocked to say that there is a really good scene where she apologized to Monica Rambo and not only wasn't really emotional. But it makes sense because she feels sad that she didn't spend enough time with her It is probably the most powerful moment in the film. The chemistry between her and Teyonah Parris, Samuel L Jackson, Iman Vellani, Zawe Ashton Is terrific.

Teyonah Parris reprises her role as Monica Rambo in the film. Now I enjoyed her performance In WondaVision. I have to say she still does a spectacular job as this character.  Now what makes Monica Rambo such an interesting character that you feel bad for her because she's mad that Carol Danbury / Captain Marvel didn't come back and spend time with her when she was a kid and would she find out that her mother's dead she goes through some heavy stuff in this film. Probably the best Seen with Monica Rambo is where she find out that her mother died during the blip and not only was it really shocking but it makes sense because she didn't know that her mother passed away and it is probably the most heartbreaking but strongest moments of this entire film.

Samuel L Jackson plays Nick Fury in the film. I have to say he still does a remarkable job as the character. Now Nick Fury out of characters he was the best thing of the first Captain Marvel film He gave the best performance out of every actor in that film. I have to say that in this film he  still does a marvelous job as the character. What makes Nick Fury such an interesting character is that he wants to help Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Monica Rambo, and Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel to take down Dar-Ben and save the universe and restore their powers. Probably the best scene with Nick Fury is where she calls for Monica Rambo but she doesn't show up and stand Kamala Khan /Miss Marvel showed up and not only was it really funny but it made sense because he needed to speak with Monica Rambo. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Bray Larson is terrific.

However the absolute big standout of this entire movie is Iman Vellani who reprises her role as Kamala Khan/Miss Marvel in film because she did play her in Miss Marvel but for this being her  MCU movie debut. I have to say she is still entertaining as this character. Now when I saw Kamala Khan/Miss Marvel in the trailer I thought she was going to be very annoying just screaming constantly. But surprisingly she was very incredible and out of all the characters she was my favorite she was funny the way she idolizes Captain Marvel. It was very entertaining to watch and she was the heart and soul of the entire film. Also she was so adorable in this film. The way she smiled and the way she reacts to everything is just really cute and it reminds me of Cassie in the first two Ant-Man movies played by Abby Ryder Fortson the way she acted as the character in the films, always being cute and always smiling. Probably the best moment with Kamala Khan /Miss Marvel is what she says I am Miss Marvel" and she says wait is that copyrighted. Not only what it really played but I felt like the MCU was being self-aware of what they are and it is probably the funniest moment of the entire film.

Zawe Ashton plays Dar-Benn In the film. I have to say she does a Terrific in this film. Now she is the weakest performance in the entire film. But I will give correct she gave a much better performance than Jude Law did in the first Captain Marvel as Yon Rogg. Also you should know I was not a fan of him because I thought it was very awful very bland and just not really entertaining. But She does do a terrific job in the film Now the character of Dar- Ben Is not as bad as I thought she was. I'll say this she was better than Yon Rogg in the first film and there is stuff I enjoyed about her Now her motivation is a lot better than Yon Rogg's motivation in the first film because he didn't really have a motivation now her motivation in this film Is that she basically wants to kill Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel because she killed the Supreme Intelligence and that caused her home world to lose all the sunlight so she decides to use the bangal to bring her source of light back to her world And you do understand why she wants to do all that because you do somewhat feel bad for Dar-Benn because she wants to just save her home and she doesn't care is the Bengal kills because her home will be safe. The scene with Dar-Benn Are really entertaining whether it is her telling her people that she will bring the life back to the planet or her battling the Marvel it doesn't lead to some really emotional and entertaining moments throughout the film. The chemistry between her and Bray Larson is amazing. The rivalry between she and Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Monica Rambo, and Camille Khan / Miss Marvel is actually very incredible.

Now let's talk about the directing in this film Now the film is directed by Anna Boden who directed the first Captain Marvel and I thought her directing was really bad it felt like she didn't know what to do with the character but he was replaced by Nia DaCosta and surprisingly her directing in this film is actually a lot better because unlike in the first film were Anna Boden. She actually gives Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel some character development and makes her a mode and actually go through some tragic character arc unlike in the first one when she didn't go through anything and I think it is really spectacular of how she did that and I also like how she made the three main characters Carol Danvers Captain Marvel, Monica Rambo, and Kamala Khan/Miss Marvel have a strong bond throughout the film I think that was really interesting how she did that.

So in conclusion I thought I was going to hate this movie. I thought this was going to be one of the worst movies in 2023. But to my surprise I ended up liking this movie a lot more than I thought I would. I still think the storyline is a lot better than the storyline in the first film. Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel actually go through a very tragic character arc in the film and handle It extremely well. Also Kamila Khan / Miss Marvel is one of my favorite characters in the film. She was very happy and adorable and really funny and the bondage she had with Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Monica Rambo is the best part of this entire film. Nick Fury was also really interesting Samuel L Jackson still gives the entertainment performance as the character. I also didn't mind Dar Ben at the villain because you do actually feel bad for her and well she's not the best written MCU villain because I think other MCU villains like Xu Wenwu, The high evolutionary, the void, Thanos and Loki are way better written villains Dar-Benn was still a really fun and sympathetic villain In fact it is probably the most underrated film of 2023. Also this movie is up there with Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Mania as one of the underrated films of 2023 and one of the most overheated films of the 2020s. I have to say I think more people should give this movie a chance before calling it one of the worst movies of 2023 and one of the Worst MCU movies of all time. I think if you enjoy Ant-Man and the Wasp with Paul Rudd. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 8/10.
