Here is my Movie Review of Don's Plum

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Ian who wants to spend time with his friends so he decides to Invite them to this called Don´s Plum  with them along with all their girlfriends and it starts out nice and sweet but eventually they start roasting each other and cats out of hand to the point that they have to fix their relationships and that is basically what the story is for the film. 

The acting in this movie is really awesome Because these actors were really young and after this movie was made they went on to star in other movies that would have been to make them Recognizable and household names. 

Toby Maguire plays Ian in the film. I have to say he does a terrific job as this character. What makes him such a remarkable character is that all he wants to do is to spend time with all his friends at Don´s Plum and make sure they all get along. Probably the best scene with Ian is when he is at this bar and he asks Tracy to Tell him and have friends and not only is it really emotional but it makes sense because he wants her to spend time with him and his friends. It is probably the most emotional scene in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Connolly, Scott Bloom, Marissa Ribisi, and Jenny Lewis Is really fantastic. 

However the absolute big stand out of the entire film is Leonardo DiCaprio as Derek. What makes Derek such an incredible character is that he really wants to spend time with his friend Ian at the restaurant. I think out of all the characters Derek is probably my favorite character in the film because  he really reminds me of Cartman from South Park because both of them wake to roast people. Probably the best moment with Derek is Is when he is at the Don's Plum and he mentioned that he had intercourse with a zucchini and not only is it really funny but it makes sense because the others reactions to the whole thing is just really funny it is probably one of the funniest moments in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Tobey Maguire is amazing. 

Marissa Ribis plays Tracy In the film. I have to say she does a marvelous job as the character. Now at first Tracy doesn't want to go with Ian to Don´s Plum with his friends but eventually she ends up enjoying spending time with them. Probably the best scene with Tracy is were she tells Ian that she has to go because she found someone else and not only is it really emotional but it made sense because she called Ian out for just not calling her first and just randomly starts spending time with her and it is  probably the most powerful moment in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Tobey Maguire is excellent.

Scott Bloom plays Brad In the movie. I have to say he does a spectacular job as the counter. What makes Bread such an incredible Character and  much like Tracy he also doesn't want to spend time with the others at the Don's Plum. But eventually he decided to go and spend time with the others. Probably the best moment with Brad is when he is at Don's Plum. A tells Sarah how much he loves her and not only is it really powerful but it makes sense because it shows that he really cares about her.  It is probably the most emotional scene in the entire movie. The chemistry between him and Toby Maguire Is tremendous. 

Kevin Connolly plays Jeremy in the film. I have to say he does a wonderful job as the character. Not much like the rest of the characters, Jeremy just wants to spend time with his friends at Don's Plum and have a good time with them. Probably the best scene with Jeremy is where the others are asking him how he prefers to pleasure himself sexually. Not only was It funny but the other reaction to that question was so hilarious. It   is probably one of the funniest moments in the film. The chemistry between him and Toby Maguire is outstanding. 

The directing by R.D. Robb Is really interesting because what I like about his directing that he does a great job of discussing the subject of roasting because in real life some people think it's funny to roast others but sometimes it can lead to the person gain their feelings hurt and their friendship is falling out so you have to Ask if the person's okay being roasted and if they're not okay with it just don't do it. I think it is really perfect of how I did that. 

So in conclusion I really enjoyed this film. I like the social commentary of the film. If it is okay to roast people or if it is not okay to do it. I also think the friendship between Ian and Derek is the strongest part of the film. I think both Tobey Maguire and Leonard DiCaprio have perfect chemistry with each other. I also A lot more people should watch this film because this film that not a lot of  people know about because it was never released in North America but it is on YouTube to watch.Also if you like The Audition which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this film a 10/10.
