Here is My Movie Review of Wheelman
So basically what happens and then you have this guy named Wheelman and he involved in the bank heist but it terribly wrong and he get the call from this Unknown parliament needs the money and he threatens to kill his family so it's up to Wheelman to figure out who's set him up and protect his family and that is basically what the story is for this movie.
The acting in this movie is terrific. I still think everyone does a great job as their characters.
However, the absolute stand out of the entire film is Frank Grillo as Wheelman. What makes Wheelman such an incredible character that all he wants to do is to find out who sent him up and protect his family. Probably the best moment with Wheelman is when he tells his daughter Katie to leave the house and drive to a parking lot so he can come pick her up and not only was it really intense but it made sense because he wants to keep her safe and protector at all cost. It is probably the most emotional moment in the film. The chemistry between him, Caitlin Carmichael, and Garret Dillahunt is still fantastic.
Garret Dillahunt plays Clayton in the film. I have to say he still does an awesome job as the character. What makes Clayton Search an incredible character is that you really feel bad because he wants to kill himself so the mob doesn't kill him. Probably the best moment with Clayton is when Wheelman is trying to get him not to kill himself and not only was it really emotional but it made sense because Wheelman needed information from Clayton. It is probably the darkest moment in the film. The chemistry between him and Frank Grillo is still excellent.
Caitlin Carmichael plays Wheelman’s daughter Katie in the film. I have to say she still does an astounding job as the character. What makes Katie such an awesome character is That you really feel bad for because she doesn't want her dad to go to jail again. Probably the best moment with Katie is when she finds out that her dad has a lot of money in his car she starts packing because she thinks that her dad is going to go to jail again. Not only was it really intense but it made sense because it didn't want her dad to get arrested and get sent back to jail. It is probably the darkest scene of the entire film.
The directing by Jeremy Ruch Is excellent because what I like about His directing is that he makes you really care about Wheelman because all he wants to do is to find out who set him up and be reunited with his daughter. I think it is really tremendous of how he did that.
So in conclusion this is still my all-time favorite Netflix original movie. I still think this is probably my favorite movie of 2017. I still think this is my favorite Frank Grillo movie I have seen. This really reminds me of the A24 film Locke with Tom Hardy because both of the main characters in these movies are in their cars for the entire film. I have to say even though this doesn't feel like an A24 film in some ways it kind of does because it has a really engaging and simple story to follow. The characters are really relatable. I still think If you enjoy the movie Locke with Tom Hardy then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
