Here is My Movie Review Raymond and Ray

So basically what happened and then you have this guy named Raymond Who told his brother Ray that Their father has recently passed away and he wants to say Their final goodbyes to him and bury him and have a funeral for him. But Ray doesn't want to go dude To their father abusing them but he decides to go anyway just to make Raymond happy.  It is up to Raymond and Ray to go to the Funeral to say their final goodbyes to their father and that is basically what the story is for the film. 

The acting in this movie is terrific. I still think everyone does a tremendous job as Their characters characters.

Ewan McGregor plays Raymond. I have to say he does a remarkable job as the character. What makes Raymond such a spectacular character is that you really feel bad for him because all he wants to do is to say his file goodbyes to His and his brother Ray’s father. Probably the best moment with Raymond is where he and his brother Ray are discussing how to bury the casket at the funeral. It is probably the most saddest moment in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Maribel Verdu, Sophie Okonedo, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Maxim Swinton, and Ethan Hawke is still terrific. 

Maribel Verdu plays Lucia In the film. I have to say she does an excellent job as the character. What makes Lucia such an interesting character is that she really wants to comfort Raymond in these difficult times of life and she find out that his father has passed away. Probably the best moment with Lucia Is when she is asking Raymond about his life with his dad and it is probably one of the most powerful scenes in the film. The chemistry between her and Ewan McGregor is still remarkable.

 Maxim Swinton Plays Simon in the film. I have to say he does a great job as the character. Now Simon is not in the movie a whole lot but what he has he really wants to say goodbye to is his deceased father. Probably the best moment with Simon is when he is at the funeral bearing the casket of his dad watching his father get buried in the ground and it was the most heartbreaking scene of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ewan McGregor is still Excellent.

Vondie Curtis-Hall plays Reverend West In the film. I have to say he still does an amazing job as the character. What makes reverent west such a Wonderful character is that he basically wants to help Ray and Raymond Prepare for the funeral. Probably the best scene is when he explains to Raymond and Ray that they can't turn overThe The corpse of their dad because they're going down. It was his wish to be buried naked and face downwards So they have to respect their dad's wishes. It is probably the most Intriguing moment of the film. The chemistry between him and Ewan McGregor Is still marvelous. 

Sophie Okonedo Plays Kiera In the film. I have to say she does a magnificent job as the character. What makes Kiera Such a great character is that all she wants to do is to jump Ray after the funeral. Probably the best moment with Kiera Is when she is trying to Cheer up Ray and tries to make him forget about the funeral. It is probably Strongest moment in the film. The chemistry between the hand and Ewing McGregor.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Ethan Hawke as Ray. What makes rain such a marshaling complex character that he is the opposite of Raymond. In the sense that Raymond wants to go To the funeral but he doesn't because his dad did not treat him with respect and he didn't really care for him. Probably The best moment with Ray is when and when he mentions to Raymond that their dad beated them with the belt and he expressed why he doesn't like their dad at all. It is probably The darkest moment in the film. This is probably Ethan Hawke's best performance he has ever done. The chemistry between him and Ewan McGregor is still really astonishing. 

The directing by Rodrigo Garcia Is really incredible because why I like about his directing is that he does a great job of tackling the subject of lost and grief And the question isn't Worth going to a funeral because What's really sad that there are people who don't want to go to the funeral because either something traumatic I have been with one of their family members or They were treated very important by their mother or their father. I still think it is really remarkable how he did that. 

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed the film because of its simple and emotional messages throughout the film. I still think this is one of the most underrated movies of 2022. I still think the chemistry between Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke is one of the best things about this movie. I still think more people should watch it especially if you like The Farewell with Awkwafina. This is probably up there with Cherry with Tom Holland as one my favorite Apple TV Plus Original Films I give this movie a 10/10.
