Here is My Movie Review of Cherry

So basically what happens is that you have the bank robber named Cherry and He has been robbing banks for a long time and one day he decides to join the Army but after one of his comments gets killed in the war when he comes back home he starts to have PTSD and he starts to get addicted to drugs and he has to do everything in his power to acquire his PTSD and that is basically what the story is for the film. 

Now a lot of people say the acting this movie is not that great but to be perfectly honest I never really hate the acting I think all the performances we're always fun to watch it's one of these movies where you have to enjoy the acting and look past the script and just sit back and have fun with the performances so that's what I got of this film. but I still think that this is one of the best acted films of 2021 and up there with shang Chi as one of the best active films of the 2020s.  

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Tom Holland as Cherry. Now the character of Cherry is fantastic because you really understand the stress he has gone through because he robbed a lot of banks he had fought in a war and now he gets addicted to drugs and  you really feel bad for him because of those reasons.The themes with cherry are really incredible weather it is the scene of him going to the military and having PTSD flashbacks or the scene of him watching his friend being brutally killed on the battlefield. It does lead to some really heavy and really horrifying moments In the film. This is probably Tom Holland's best performance he has ever done. This is probably the darkest Tom Holland movie ever made. The chemistry between him and Ciara Bravo, Forrest Goodluck, and Jack Reynor Is still amazing. 

Ciara Bravo plays Emily in the film. I have to say she still does a remarkable job as the character. Now Emily as a character Emily Is incredible because you really feel bad for her because she is worried what the war has done to Cherry and why he's been doing so many drugs and it gets to the point that she can't take it anymore and decides to not spend time with him because She doesn't like how Cherry is going down a dark path of a drug addict The scene with Emily is incredible whether it is the scene of her and cherry meaning for the first time or her yelling at him for doing too much drugs. It does lead to some really nail binding and some really chilling moments throughout the film . The chemistry between her and Tom Holland is still awesome.  

Jack Reynor Plays Pills and Coke in the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as These characters. Now the characters of Pills and Coke are really incredible because they desperately want help Cherry rob the bank to pay off a mobster so he doesn't get killed. The scenes with Pills  and Coke Are really interesting whether it is the scenes of them And cherry arguing in the car or the three of them robbing the bank it does lead to some really heart pounding in some really horrifying moments in the film and the bonding between the three characters is the strongest aspect of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Tom Holland is marvelous. 

 Forrest Goodluck plays James Lightfoot In the film. I have to say he still does an incredible job as the character. Now the character of James Lightfoot that you really feel bad for because he does not want to help Cherry and Pills and Coke because he doesn't want to rub the bank but he has to do it anyway to avoid his friends being killed by the mobster.The scenes with James Lightfoot Oh really incredible weather it is the scene of him watching Cherry get shot by the police or him telling Jerry that he doesn't want to help him rob the bank it does lead to some really heart pounding some really heavy moment in the film. The chemistry between him and Tom Holland is tremendous. 

However the best thing about the film is the directing by Joe and Anthony Russo because what I really loved about they're directing because they do a glorious job of developing the character of Cherry how he went from a simple bank robber to a guy that served in the Iraqian war how he became a drug addict and and that caused him to shut everybody out having his relationship with Emily fall apart because he was suffering all this PTSD and Trauma for the war and he took way too much medication to try to fix himself. i like how they tackle the thumbs up of drug addiction PTSD because it is a really harsh subject have to talk about because it's really said that there are people who suffer through drug addiction because they are either depressed or surfing through PTSD or they had a horrible home life.I think they did a glorious job of directing this film.

So in conclusion i don't think this movie is as bad at a lot of people saying is because I actually still really enjoyed this film because of the story we're given about cherries with this guy who fought in the Iraq War he is guy did a lot of drugs and he went crazy. He has been robbing bangs and I think that concept is really interesting when the film executes it really well. I also think the performances were really fun and really entertaining all this way the big standout was Tom Holland he did give the really captivating and terrific performance as Cherry you can tell that Holland is having the time of his life in this film. I think this film is up there with Swan Song with Glenn Close as one of the most underrated films of 2021. Now I don't think this film is like one of the best films of 2021 because I think movies like Spider-Man No Way Home, Dune and A Quiet Place Part II are way better movies than this one but this one was still fun and really entertaining to watch. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you enjoy heart pounding dramas like Pig with Nicolas Cage. Then I'm sure you're going to like this film as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
