Here is My Movie Review of Life of Pi
So basically what happens is that you have the family who owns a zoo. Then one day they decide to sell the zoo and go to Canada so they board a boat but unfortunately a storm starts which causes the boat to sink and their teenage son Pi Patel gets left behind. So now Pi Patel Is on his own On the boat with a zebra, Hey hyena, and Orangutan But eventually On the animals get eaten And the only animal that I have on the boat with him is a tiger so he has to do everything in his power to survive with the tiger and get Home and that is basically what the story is for this movie.
Now the acting in this movie is really interesting because it does have a lot of actors and a lot of characters but for the majority of the film it really focuses on one character almost throughout the entire film.
However the absolute standout of the entire film is Suraj Sharma as Pi Patel. What makes Pi Patel Such a interesting character is that all he wants to do is to get back home. Probably the funniest moment in the entire film is when the tiger pees one Pi Patel’s face. Not only was it funny but it made sense because the tiger was marking its territory and it wanted its space from Pi Patel. Also the bonding between Pi Patel and the tiger is probably the strongest aspect of the film.
The directing by Ang Lee Is really fantastic because what I like about interacting is that he does a great job of tackling the subject of survival and what you have to do if you are all alone on a boat. I still think it is really awesome how he did that.
So in conclusion I still really enjoy this movie. I still think this is up there with All Is Lost with Robert Redford as one of my favorite survival films. I still think if You enjoy the movie cast away with Tom Hanks you'll like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
